About 100. I don't know the exact number.

I nominate the Wasp as the worst Minimate ever. I don't know if she's an '09 'mate, but regardless, I nominate her as the worst one.
-
I hadn't heard of her prior to the news of her death, but it is always a tragedy when someone passes away. My condolences go out to her family. May she rest in peace.

Congrats!

X-Men were always way cooler than any of those other squares like Spiderman and the Avengers.
Blasphemy!

I once had several hundred emoticons on MSN. Then my account got hacked.

I'm already fearing for the man's life should the Avatar die-hards actually see the final product
Regarding Joel Schumacher, oddly enough I thought Phone Booth was pretty good. His "Brat Pack" era movies (St. Elmo's Fire, The Lost Boys, Flatliners) were fairly popular for their time though so maybe there might be something to them.
I enjoyed Phone Booth a lot.

I can relate. This past month I've spent over $300 on Minimates. I'm hopelessly addicted.

I like your cape better.
Me, too.

I'm having issues with moon knights cape! it's too long and means my MK doesn't stand up...
Also the part where the cowl and cape seperate is really messy...
Anyone else having this issue?
T.
Mine, too.

Went to the TRU in St. Peters, MO yesterday afternoon and picked up Surfer/Swordsman, Logan/Hawkeye, and a Secret Wars set. They still had one each of Surfer and Logan, one Molecule Man/Spider-Woman, three each of Iron Man/Titanium Man and Black Bolt/Captain Marvel and two pegs full of Secret Wars.Do these 'mates come with mini bios on the back of the package? If so, could someone please post Swordsman's?
Yes they do: The son of famed HYDRA terrorist Wolfgang von Strucker, Andreas and his twin sister Andrea share flight and energy powers - but only when physically touching. After her death, Swordsman creatively altered his sword to continue using those abilities.
Thanks, House of Ideas!

There's always a chance some of the sets will have non-movie IM villians, right? Please?
Let's hope so. Blizzard, Crimson Dynamo, Ghost, Mandarin, Melter, Unicorn...so many to choose from...

Or Minnesota.

Magus, Doppelganger... and... Pip and... Drawing a blank. Too many characters. (Moondragon need to go in the Infinity Crusade set)
Doppelganger would be awesome. Personally, I'd love to see him as part of a Maximum Carnage box set (with Carnage, Shriek, Demogoblin, and Carrion).
-
Now if only they would make an Infinity War box set to go with it, but I'm not getting my hopes up.
Which characters would you want it to come with?

Sorry, I had to go to the hospital last week on Monday and I just got out, if you have any trades with me, please resume them.
Whatever the reason, I hope you're all better now.

How about a plain ole Moronic Wonder Man?
Back to the SW set, overall it's a very good set. The Spiderman is fine, just a bit boring considering he is Spiderman. Doom is my favorite of the bunch with a removable chest and crotch piece and tampos underneath. I would love to have the old Mattel figure to compare, but I guess he's buried somewhere in the yard with the Star Wars guys. Beyonder is a dude in a silly white suit and big yellow disco hands. What's not to love? Actually, his face is really cool looking. I like it a lot. Photon is really cool and the cape is surprisingly out of the way because of it's A shape, so that's good. It also hase some pretty nice, subtle folds on the back side.
Loose Pics of the SW Boxset:
Great pics, Turtle! Thanks for sharing.

Please, Lord, if there be any justice, let the Cap'n Monica in energy form find it's way into a wave in the near future. Amen.
Agreed. For the moment, though, having a Captain Marvel (her name will always be that, in my mind) is all-good.

Not only do I have every SDCC Minimate exclusive, getting them (and at retail price) was easier than getting Bullseye/Moonstone & Angel/Warpath (thank god for Multiverse non-scalping board members) - and I've never been to California period, let alone San Diego.
That's pathetic.
Agreed.
-
Mine rang up the same. How many come in a case? Because 12x$13.99 is exactly $167.88...
I've never seen a Bullseye/Moonstone or Angel/Warpath in stores (thank you, Fizzle for hooking me up with the latter), but there were about 20 of these at the first (and only) TRU that I stopped at. WTF.
Pics:
Doom is in storage with the rest of my "costume variants" (until I get room to display them all), and while Spidey is out on my "Symbiote Shelf", I simply forgot to take a picture of him (he's at home, I'm at work).
Thanks for sharing!

But you wanna take away the awesome purple outfit, I can live with that.
I disagree. Clint just isn't Hawkeye without it.

Absolutely. No middle ground as far as Rand and her frakkin' doorstopper-sized filibusters are concerned
Of course I have yet to read Atlas Shrugged myself, but judging from what other people who have read it's just too damn long. The one character near the end who just rambles on for 86 pages straight is legendary, you'll probably be better off with one of Rand's shorter books like Anthem. Less deadwood.
Even many people who agree with Rand's philosophy (don't worry, I won't go there; I have no intention of violating the "no politics" rule) say that the book is incredibly boring. I'll just take their word for it, especially after reading your post.
Happy New Year Guys!!!
