Very few relevent Marvel characters today were around prior to 1960. Cap, Bucky, Red Skull, Namor, Kazar.

However, Patsy Walker also falls into that category.

I'd accept squirel girl (sorry but i hate this character, she's supossed to be a female and less crazy deapool but she's just an awful character. I mean, she took down doom with squirels and "defeated" thanos and a bucnch of other cosmic characters? give me a break) if i get the new avengers (NOW! version), uncanny x-men or uncanny x-force or some more spidey and x-men villains.

I'd accept Squirrel Girl if we could get Mockingbird. Actually, as much as I despise Squirrel Girl, I do hope that they make a Minimate of her. I personally hate her, but a lot of guys here disagree, so it'd be cool for them if DST made a Squirrel Girl.

I kind of like that though, I don't think we'd ever get Spymaster in any other Marvel line. It's not just an obscure character, it's an obscure villain, which almost never happens.

That's one of my favorite things about Minimates: Even the obscure characters get some love. Heck, I'd have never even heard of Spymaster if I hadn't bought the Minimate of him.

I should rephrase; I don't think Zach's done anything but express his own personal excitement over the lineup of this wave. We've kind of taken the phrase "incredible amount of fan service" and run with it, in some very implausible directions.

To be fair, DST has released 'mates of some pretty obscure characters (I'm looking at you, Spymaster), so I'd say anything's possible.

They rereleased Sabretooth and Wolverine with very little extra or difference between them and the originals....Id like to see a 'best of x men' wave with

90's Gambit/90's Storm (change facial expressions, add another hairpiece for Gambit and a flight stand for Storm)

Juggernaut/Nightcrawler (Excalibur rereleases with modifications)

Byrne Cyclops/Dark Phoenix (Optic blast, Phoenix base)

Diamond Emma Frost/Astonishing Wolverine (AvX Emma in transleucent plastic)

I really hope 54 is X Men themed, but the army builder is the only thing that makes me think it wont be. Highly requested AND not in the fan poll? It has to be the HAMMER Soldier. Which means it's Captain America. Weak!

Sorry, but I am NOT willing to pay $100 just for Gambit. I'm willing to go to semi-extreme lengths to obtain certain characters, but this is ridiculous. Releasing a new 90s Gambit as part of a "Best of" wave would be a great compromise. Those who missed out the first time can have a chance to get him, and those who got him the first time around can pass him up. Plus, he won't take up a slot in a "normal" wave that could have otherwise gone to a new character (or a character more in need of a remake than him).

I myself would love an x-men wave! A new 90's gambit, an updated beast, throw some shi-ar and boom! You got yourself one killer wave! Actually, i'm excited to see what the spider themed characters are (or is this line up in tru 17)?

I missed on the first gambit so i'd like to see a 90s gambit and psylocke 2pack. It'd be the same but maybe with more accessories and it would give newcomers another chance at these hard to find characters. Come to think of it, i like a new uncanny x force 4pack. Psylocke, puck and the two fantomexes with a complimentary two pack of bishop an the evil fantomex.

Just buy the first one!!!! I know you live across the sea but for real if you want them so bad you want a remake, you should just pony up.

He's pretty pricey. But like I said, if they do remake him, it should be AFTER they've released several characters that haven't gotten the Minimate treatment yet. Or release him as part of a "Best of" wave, like the others said.

Blackheart is a main villain in the hellish, mystical side of the mu. Not as much as mephisto but still. Blob is essential to the Brotherhood but i doubt a 5 year old kid would buy him. "Look mom! An obese guy in a swimsuit! Please,please,please,pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee". Blackheart on the other hand would be an ideal pairing for a new Johny Ghost Rider. If they did a brotherhood box set this is the lineup i'd like: pyro,avalanche, mystique, blob and a second set with destiny,toad, quicksilver and sabretooth or magneto or mastermind.

No Gladiator Minimate, please. I don't want Minimates to suffer the same fate as the Marvel Universe toyline.

Gladiator is a Dave Cockrum design so that automatically means he translates well into toys. Minimates and Universe are very different when it comes to marketing. I wouldn't assume the Minimate would peg warm just because the Universe figure does. I say bring on Gladiator and everything else from that era of X-Men.

All right, but pair him with someone like Spider-Man or Wolvie (I know, these two are overdone, but they DO sell well).

Just to clarify, I have nothing against Gladiator as a character, I'm just worried he might occupy the pegs for months, if not years (like the MU figure does). My local Target has 16(!) Gladiators. I kid you not.

Wave 16 Loki ( legs etc.) will make you a decent solid legg-ed Vision.

Don't worry, I'll always be around to disagree. I've felt especially snarky recently so know that I'll oppose pretty much everything you say.

Vision needs an update because:

A ) He's phasing. Yes, you can always switch parts with some other figure, but that's not something easily done for casual collectors.

B ) He's outdated. DST makes almost every redo look leaps and bounds better than the original and Vision definitely looks like he was designed in one of the earlier waves.

C ) He needs a white variant. As a player of the old coin-op Avengers arcade game, Vision looks way cooler when he's all white.

D ) He needs an update because bhm doesn't think he needs one.

I think those are good enough reasons to expect one in the next year or two.

White Vision would fit in great with a West Coast Avengers themed wave. Just sayin'.

Modern Cable would TOTALLY count as a new look that isn't technically a NOW look, and for a character who has repeatedly headlined his own books, we've only so far seen a pair of Nate 'mates(Maybe Dr. Nemesis in place of Forge, with parts for both "classic" and X-Force looks)

I've never even heard of Reverend Stryker, Bastion, Purifier or Dr Nemesis. If this were their idea for a wave that 'crosses names off want lists' I might as well just give up on this line now.

Reverend Stryker = crazy anti-Mutant religious fundamentalist from the graphic novel God Loves, Man Kills. Colonel Stryker from the X-Men films is loosely based on him.

It's probably the right wave to have 2-packs that compliment the SDCC box sets, so more T-Bolts might be a good bet.

It might also be a good way to get some stuff that compliments the hulk set? Leader or FF She-Hulk?

For the Hulk:

T-Bolts sounds like a good bet. Hoping for some new characters though (like everyone said, Winter Soldier, Falcon, Blob, Pyro, Toad, Mockingbird, Tigra)

Hulk might be the way to go, since we haven't had a hulk wave, well... ever.

I'd love to see a Annihilus Human Torch and Non-phasing Future Foundation Sue too. That's a long forgotten box set though...

Knocks out the first West Coast Avengers roster, Giant Size X-men, and gives us great depth for Defenders. But it'll never happen because there's no "A-listers"...

As much as I love the Defenders box set, I'm gonna have to concur with Mystery Man here.

Funny that Defenders came up, seeing as both box sets have Dr. Strange.

Still though, definitive versions of Strange, Valkyrie, and Namor... plus Hulk (at the time). Can't go wrong.

Still the definitive Hulk in my opinion. It's the only non-zombie version I have on display I think.

Yeah, that one's my favorite, as well. Even though he's not bulked up, he's still the best version so far (IMO).
