For what it's worth, I imagine everyone looking like their profile picture. Dinobot is a manga Black Cat, Nessex is Mister Sinister, etc.
-
And if A-Bomb comes with Rick Jones inside him (a la Best of Hulk), that'd be awesome, too!
Please make it happen, DST!

I want a Thunderbolts: Origins 4-pack.
Beetle (Mach 3 from the 80s)
Moonstone (classic helmeted look)
Power Man I or Goliath III (Atlas incarnations)
Screaming Mimi (Songbird) would be another good choice.
I'd buy that.

I'm ready for these to hit already, I feel like we've been waiting for these for a remarkably long time.
correction: an Incredibly long time

SQUEEEEEEEEEE! This looks like the best TTA set yet!
-
These characters will look GREAT in Minimate form.
-
We need a Howard the Duck Minimate! We already have Lea Thompson from that era....
They could release Howard the Duck with Man-Thing.
-
Pretty sure he said that the next specialty set would be made up of characters we've already seen. This doesn't totally rule out the Brotherhood, as such. But it means no Toad or Mastermind from the original line-up, and no Pyro, Blob, Avalanche, Destiny etc... from the Freedom Force days.Brotherhood Evil next specialty boxset?
You could, i guess, have a Brotherhood set with Magneto, Mystique, Scarlet Witch & Quicksilver - but that wouldn't be accurate to any particular period & DST/AA are usually pretty good about keeping their sets accurate to a certain period.
Well, we have seen Blob, albeit not the 616 version.

These look great, but between the unreasonably high price and the scale problem, I think I'll pass.
-
I think it looks cool.

Hmm. . ."technically armors" you say, reusing existing tooling. I'm going with Spidey and Wolvie S.T.R.I.P.E. bots. And the two figures I mentioned are not based on existing toy designs, although I guess both are technically armors. They do not represent some paradigm shift, just us trying to make best use of existing tooling to make something cool. I cannot see anyone having an issue with either one.
I don't know... it seems weird that DST would out of the blue do Hasbro-style made-up character designs, no matter how cool they might be. Zach's usually pretty cagey about saying something is awesome and we will love it, especially if it's out of left field like that.
Maybe we're talking about a SHIELD or Hydra (or SHIELD vs Hydra!) boxset with a couple of army builder troops that have some kind of "assault mech armor" pieces or something. That could potentially be not exactly canon or based on existing designs, and not elicit an outcry from fans. It would meet the criterion of "using existing tooling to do make something cool." ABC is launching the SHIELD show, so it could have a media tie-in. And if the guesses about wave 54 being Cap/spy/SHIELD-themed are true, you could put in a classic Nick Fury and/or Baron Strucker and make it tie in to that, and be totally awesome.
Hmm...
Don't get our hopes up, Lobby.

So if its a SDCC exclusive set, how hard will it be for people not going to obtain?
SDCC exclusives usually aren't hard to get. Luke always has them in his store. I've never attended SDCC, and I've always been able to get the exclusives easily.
-
I kind of always thought they more or less write the same costume.
They do, but Drago wears a helmet.
-
I'm sure there is another reveal to come. Is the new Thunderbolts set an SDCC set? We'll have Wolverine Saga, Thunderbolts & one other from Marvel? That seems like a pretty good amount of Marvel stuff for one con.
What new Thunderbolts set?
-
I would take a web chute Spidey...If it meant we got a Blackie Drago Vulture.
I also want a Blackie Drago Vulture, even though he's a pretty obscure character. Did he even make any appearances after his defeat by the original Vulture in the 1960s?

DST - if you wanna go ahead and surprise us with another Thunderbolts set that includes updated Luke Cage, Satana, Translucent Ghost & another Crossbones - i will not complain.
*mmmmm - Translucent Ghost*
10/10 would buy

Starlord in the new comics looks a bit like Arrow's Stephen Amell. I like Pratt a lot, he was excellent in Moneyball.
Tennant would be awesome, maybe if Guardians becomes a play he'll do it.
I think this movie has a 50/50 chance at flopping. They are going to have to spend so much on advertising. They should release a few animated movies with the characters before the actual film.
I'm pretty skeptical, myself.
-
Youbastards, you sir are on a roll! Zach you should be taking notes for a surprise wave we all want...
I'm just saying X-Men Origins wolverine got 9001 waves and no one was a real big fan of the film.I have a soft spot for the X-Men Origins: Wolverine wave. They were the first Minimates I ever bought.
-
Great Harley, youbastards!
(lol, it's impossible to address you without sounding like I'm insulting you )

Thor 2 line-up may have been a bit premature, I'll keep you posted.
And while I was sorry if this game got people's hopes up, I think anyone who is already disappointed should wait and see what's what. I'm sure whatever your favorite theme, we've got something coming out for it fairly soon. Fun stuff.
Ouch! I hope we don't miss out on completing the Warriors Three! Only need one darn 2-pack to accomplish that! Plus I'd love to see Heimdall. I still want Frigga, but would sacrifice her if necessary and the new Selvig for Hogun & Fandral, plus Heimdall.
As far as "whatever your favorite theme", I hope you're referring to comic versions!
*holds breath* I hope the only change is to swap out Selvig....
Me too.

SO, is this confirmation that Wave 54 is going to be a Captain America wave??
Let's take a look!
>We recently found a Captain America costume we haven't done yet. Needless to say, we're all very ex
cited.Nope, not seeing anything about Series 54. But feel free to read in whatever you like!
How about telling us what your favorite corner of the Marvel Universe is!
Didn't Zach say it was comedy?
Speaking of comedy, I wouldn't mind an Impossible Man Minimate.
-
Looks great, Dinobot!

That day can't come soon enough. The helicarrier has been awful lonely and my SHIELD guys have been waiting too long to have someone to date. I guess that makes me wonder if SHIELD has a 'don't ask, tell' policy...
Are you talking about the Helicarrier from the Marvel Universe toyline? Do you have the normal version or the "Super" Helicarrier that was released at SDCC?
-
I'll be disappointed in a wave if there's an end in sight, and it doesn't have who I'd like.
But as long as we're still going, the more, the merrier!
^ This.

These all look great, but honestly, I'm a tad disappointed we won't be getting any new armors or
final battle Aldrich Killian
