  1. Brotherhood Evil next specialty boxset?

Pretty sure he said that the next specialty set would be made up of characters we've already seen. This doesn't totally rule out the Brotherhood, as such. But it means no Toad or Mastermind from the original line-up, and no Pyro, Blob, Avalanche, Destiny etc... from the Freedom Force days.

You could, i guess, have a Brotherhood set with Magneto, Mystique, Scarlet Witch & Quicksilver - but that wouldn't be accurate to any particular period & DST/AA are usually pretty good about keeping their sets accurate to a certain period.

Well, we have seen Blob, albeit not the 616 version.

  2. And the two figures I mentioned are not based on existing toy designs, although I guess both are technically armors. They do not represent some paradigm shift, just us trying to make best use of existing tooling to make something cool. I cannot see anyone having an issue with either one.

Hmm. . ."technically armors" you say, reusing existing tooling. I'm going with Spidey and Wolvie S.T.R.I.P.E. bots.

I don't know... it seems weird that DST would out of the blue do Hasbro-style made-up character designs, no matter how cool they might be. Zach's usually pretty cagey about saying something is awesome and we will love it, especially if it's out of left field like that.

Maybe we're talking about a SHIELD or Hydra (or SHIELD vs Hydra!) boxset with a couple of army builder troops that have some kind of "assault mech armor" pieces or something. That could potentially be not exactly canon or based on existing designs, and not elicit an outcry from fans. It would meet the criterion of "using existing tooling to do make something cool." ABC is launching the SHIELD show, so it could have a media tie-in. And if the guesses about wave 54 being Cap/spy/SHIELD-themed are true, you could put in a classic Nick Fury and/or Baron Strucker and make it tie in to that, and be totally awesome.

    Hmm...

Don't get our hopes up, Lobby. :P

  3. Starlord in the new comics looks a bit like Arrow's Stephen Amell. I like Pratt a lot, he was excellent in Moneyball.

Tennant would be awesome, maybe if Guardians becomes a play he'll do it.

I think this movie has a 50/50 chance at flopping. They are going to have to spend so much on advertising. They should release a few animated movies with the characters before the actual film.

    I'm pretty skeptical, myself.

  4. Youbastards, you sir are on a roll! Zach you should be taking notes for a surprise wave we all want... I'm just saying X-Men Origins wolverine got 9001 waves and no one was a real big fan of the film.

I have a soft spot for the X-Men Origins: Wolverine wave. They were the first Minimates I ever bought.

  5. Thor 2 line-up may have been a bit premature, I'll keep you posted.

And while I was sorry if this game got people's hopes up, I think anyone who is already disappointed should wait and see what's what. I'm sure whatever your favorite theme, we've got something coming out for it fairly soon. Fun stuff.

Ouch! I hope we don't miss out on completing the Warriors Three! Only need one darn 2-pack to accomplish that! Plus I'd love to see Heimdall. I still want Frigga, but would sacrifice her if necessary and the new Selvig for Hogun & Fandral, plus Heimdall.

As far as "whatever your favorite theme", I hope you're referring to comic versions!

*holds breath* I hope the only change is to swap out Selvig....

    Me too.

  6. SO, is this confirmation that Wave 54 is going to be a Captain America wave??

    Let's take a look!

    >We recently found a Captain America costume we haven't done yet. Needless to say, we're all very ex

    cited.

Nope, not seeing anything about Series 54. But feel free to read in whatever you like!

How about telling us what your favorite corner of the Marvel Universe is! smile.png

Didn't Zach say it was comedy?

Speaking of comedy, I wouldn't mind an Impossible Man Minimate.

  7. That day can't come soon enough. The helicarrier has been awful lonely and my SHIELD guys have been waiting too long to have someone to date. I guess that makes me wonder if SHIELD has a 'don't ask, tell' policy...

Are you talking about the Helicarrier from the Marvel Universe toyline? Do you have the normal version or the "Super" Helicarrier that was released at SDCC?
