Hasn't this been done before? Not that Minimates won't be better, I'm just tired of hearing the epithet "Kubrick knock-off."
Of course Medicom only did Kellogg's. Maybe AA has the license for General Mills (Trix/Lucky Charms/Count Chocula/etc), Post (Sugar Crisp/Fruity Pebbles), Quaker Oats (Cap'n Crunch/Quisp/Mr T) or Ralston (Cookie Crisp).
Looking forward to them, no matter what the license. I'd love to get my hands on a Cap'n Crunch Minimate.

The only thing I can say is that I've been doin' the Minimate thing for a long time.
I'm not overly enamored with the puzzle pieces (this is the first time I've taken them out of the box in over a year), but there's something about them (or me ) that prevents me from getting rid of them. All of these were obtained from me opening a carded or tubed Minimate. So according to this, I've got 99 3" mates (excluding promos and Sauron) scattered around my home and office. Maybe that's why no one visits me anymore (or maybe it's the mathematics discussions?)
Come on Ady. Open up those Bruce Lees. It'll make you happy. Everybody's doing it. You'll be popular.

Wait, Matrix like the movie? Or Matrix like Transformers?
Neither, it's Matrix like mathematics.
I've often thought about changing my nick to Nilpotent, Toeplitz or Hermitian. But I can't seem to find the right matrix that defines me as a person. Sometimes I feel I am more symmetric with respect to my center, while other times I know that my inverse is equal to my transpose. I once spent about six hours thinking it over, only to discover I had lost my chi and had to go find it in my linen closet.
Of course the list of possible names is somewhat limited. So they must be reserved for only the crème de la crème of Internet message board posters. Long-haired freaky people need not apply.

There was a bit of control art on the back of the hardcopy Spectrum being handed out at the DST booth. I haven't seen it been posted elsewhere, but then again I haven't been home long.
My scanner is a bit wonky at the moment, so you'll have to make do with a pic.

New post indicator, better?
It works for me. Thanks.

No offense to FHC or whoever created that skin, but in the interest of constructive criticism... yikes. Blink tags, marquee tags, images with aliased fonts, and bright primary colors hurt my delicate sensibilities. I know that good web design is not easy, but the inventor of the blink tag was an incurable sadist whose idea of a good time involved drowning puppies. And not ugly puppies either. He drowned the really adorable ones with the big, cute eyes and the oversized, clumsy paws. Pure evil.
I poked around the site a little bit and it was nice to see some familiar names, but that skin is too much of a deterrent for me.

Smeg! I put the target property in the image tag instead of the anchor tag. Try this instead:
document.write(cent_it+"<A HREF='"+aurl[choose_one]+"' target='_blank'><IMG SRC='"+pics[choose_one]+"' width='"+pic_width+"' height='"+pic_height+"' border='"+border_size+"'></A>"+cent_it2);

Im trying to get the banner to work in a new window, but Im going senile or something, it seems to just kill my JS.
Anyone feel like writting it for me, Im been slow today
I'm no HTML or Javascript guru, but don't you just have to add a "target='_blank'" attribute to the anchor tag?
Change this line of java script:
document.write(cent_it+"<A HREF='"+aurl[choose_one]+"'><IMG SRC='"+pics[choose_one]+"' width='"+pic_width+"' height='"+pic_height+"' border='"+border_size+"'></A>"+cent_it2);
To this:
document.write(cent_it+"<A HREF='"+aurl[choose_one]+"'><IMG SRC='"+pics[choose_one]+"' width='"+pic_width+"' height='"+pic_height+"' border='"+border_size+"' target='_blank'></A>"+cent_it2);
I don't have a way to test it right now, but I think all the single- and double-quotes are matched up right. That always seems to trip me up at an inopportune time.
If you are still looking for things to do , I do have a humble request. Could you tweak the folder icons ( ) so there is more of a difference between the two? Maybe a different folder (or background) color to distinguish 'new' from 'not new'. The way it is now, I can't instantly tell them apart when they are in a column on the front page.

I'd definitely buy PA Minimates. With the size of their viewing audience, I think a 5000 piece run would probably sell through. (But then again AFX still has Elven Warriors and Elronds up the ho-ha.)
Hmm, what would a Minimate Fruit Fucker look like?

There's always The Gimp.

If I recall correctly, people were having trouble with www.tommyboy.com and not www.kungfaux.com. I think the confusion stems from the fact that TommyBoy (at least initially) was the 'official' retailer for this Minimate.
Don't take this as an endorsement for kungfaux.com because I've never made a purchase from them. I picked up all my Break Boys when Tower clearanced them several months ago.

Thanks for all the kind words guys. I appreciate it.
As for the collection pics, it's one of those "Yeah, I should do that," kind of things. So I start straightening up, but then I notice the dust on the black shelves. (Why did I buy black? It's not like dust is a new phenomenon.) Okay, I'll clean up the dust, that shouldn't take too long. While I'm at it, I might as well sort this bin of loose Lego that's been sitting here for a week. Of course, then it's Lego, Lego, Lego, and the rest of the day is shot.
Mr. Miyagi tells me I lack focus. I think he's right.

Here's a 'clean' version of the poster:
The kneeling pose doesn't reference anything too specific, but the poster itself is based loosely on the whole Obey/Andre the Giant has a posse phenomenon. I wanted to put the stylized Andre face on the chest but didn't for some reason I can't remember. I might try it again soon.
Here's a few more images from the bus stop series:
I'm probably going to make an enlargement of the green one to hang in my toy room.
(sorry 'bout the threadjack Ady )

Yeah, I picked up one of those KAWS sets a while back. I didn't think it was worth the original retail price, but eventually found a nice cheap eBay auction.
Here's the inside poster:
(not too over-the-top, is it?)

Awww, why didn't you tell me that three years ago?
These poor bums are out on the street because someone opened their plastic baggies.
(Here's another high-priced 2003 blank auction that ended a week ago.)

I watched a few movies this weekend and can't resist adding a few more.

These hands, they look like such strong hands.
His name was boner!
I'm sufferring from Carpathian Kitten Loss too.
When will they release The Ropers on DVD?
Leeloo Minai Lekarariba-Laminai-Tchai Ekbat De Sebat wouldn't fit.
Cause... well, just because.
Maybe I should have multi-colored text on this one?

Wow, one post wonder (now two, of course) makes good. Thanks.
Of course, a little palm greasing doesn't hurt either.Nah, Ady's not about the money. He's more into the favors, if you catch my drift. He just said something along the lines that some day, and that day may never come, he will call upon me to do him a service in return.
Whatever that means.

WE NEED TNG MINIMATES!!!!! (or Deathstroke the Terminator will blow the brians out of some AA officials)
Well I certainly hope there aren't to many people named Brian at AA...
Yeah, we wouldn't want Deathstroke's mouth to get too tired.
Ultimate Avengers 2 minimate????????

I hope you live near a K-Mart (or know someone who does), because it looks like that is the only way to get the Hulk version. I discovered this tasty nugget moments ago while thumbing through next week's K-Mart ad (it's where I buy all my underwear), and instantly thought of you guys. (You know, instead of all my other Internet Minimate friends. )
It doesn't mention Cap or Iron Man, so I can't say if K-Mart will have them or not. At least this explains why no Hulks were found at TRU.
I'm an excellent driver.
