  1. Well for me it has always been about getting what I want.... then the only comic shop near me stopped selling mates.... I resorted to getting the old TRU packs(you know, the ones with the "secret" figure). Eventually I gave up and quit collecting Minimates....years later I would find an Iron Man two pack in TRU and decided to pick it up. I started collecting again, but instead of picking up what I want, I now pick up any Marvel Minimates I can find. I order the ones I want online, but I don't buy much online, so if I find any type of Marvel mate at a store, I pick it up. I really wish normal retailers carried these things...or atleast my comic shop picked them up again :/

  2. :o

Original poster thanks so much. I got the set, the Slimer and Peter Ghostbusters and Storm/Klaw for 27.00 after shipping. Do we have a forum for internet store sales? It would really help me out as I have to wait for sales to order online. Thanks again for the tip. Excited!

    Happy to Help! :D

  3. The Drone and Pepper set was the hardest for me to find at Borders... saw plenty of Happy/Drone but had to go to 3 different Borders before I found Pepper. Luckily there's three en route on my daily commute. :D

I wonder if some kind of mix-up with the variant happened here like did with Angel a few waves back?

Wow... how did that not occur to me before?!

(Although I guess it might make sense... not that many people are scrambling for a new Pepper, especially since we just got her in the first movie wave. Plus Happy comes with some neat accessories...)

I love the suitcase accessory with Happy. I let my little cousin play with my mates if he's careful and now he can hand Tony Stark the suitcase and then he can play with the Mark VI I believe is its name... Im not sure, you get what I'm saying. :P

  4. I'd like to see one series of Kick-Ass minimates

Pack 1: Kick-Ass/ Red Mist- Includes alternate heads and hair pieces for both. Red Mist comes with gun, Kick-Ass has his numb chucks (however you spell it =p)

Pack 2: Hit Girl/Big Daddy- Hit Girl has alternate head piece and hair, and a few weapons. Big Daddy's mask is removable, hair piece and a few weapons.

Pack 3: Frank D'macio/Battle Damaged Kick-Ass- Frank D'macio comes with gun, BD Kick-Ass has the removable jet pack and bazooka

Variant Pack: Frank D'Macio/Battle Damaged Big Daddy- BD Big Daddy comes the same accessories as the normal Bg Daddy

EDIT: Also here is my Watchmen two-packs

    Rorschach/Nite Owl

    Silk Spectre/Dr. Manhattan

    Ozzymandias/The Comdedian

Variant Pack: Prison Rorschach/Dr. Manhattan in suit. I actually don't know if that would be a popular idea, but I always liked the idea of the variant pack having two variants, that way one of the figures you wouldn't have to buy two of them. I'm assuming thats why they started pairing the army builders with the variants.

  5. I went to TRU and Borders the other day. I managed to pick up every set except the TRU exclusive and the one at Borders with the BD Whiplash. I think I'll pass on that one. Also, I got the Drone and Happy set. They didn't have a Drone and Pepper set or else I would have snagged that too. Overall, the series is great except my Iron Man's arm keeps falling off.

  6. Heres a list of ones I want, really no order

    1. Hellfire goons

    2. Joe Fixit

    3. Re-done Grey Hulk(with the chest piece ex)

    4. Harry Osborn(comes with Goblin Gear INCLUDING Glider. Ok that won't happen <_< )

    5. Solo(imagine the weapons on this guy?)

    6. 616 SHIELD Soldiers

    7. Lizard

    8. Crimson Dynamo

    9. Mandarin

    10. Mr. Sinister

    11. Pyro

    12. Omega Red

    13. Silvermane

    14. BD Deadpool

    15. Tombstone

Since we now have gotten some movie Mates, I was thinking about a series or two where they went back and made some mates from previous marvel films(probably won't happen because they probably wouldn't sell to well)

    1. Sm1 Green Goblin/ Sm2 Dock Ock

    2. Movie Mystique/ Movie Magneto

    3. Movie Cyclops/ Movie Nightcrawler

The variant figure could be Magneto in his cell clothes

  7. I figured that was you. Its been a long time pal. Glad you're back in the Minimate game.

Yah I used to post on the old AA forums alot back in the day. I have to say, the Bucky Captain America is incredible, and yes, I've already told my money I'll be parting ways with it in exchange for more mates of course.

  8. This news was actually hitting the BBC headlines yesterday......maybe not a surprise to you guys in the States but although Disney is universally famous ....Marvel isn't

The BBC DJ Steve Wright noted on his daily programme yesterday that this news "may herald "(& I quote) " Batman & Mickey Mouse..... 'cross-overs' " Steve Wright is one of our long-standing DJs ,clever & on -the-ball ,having spent many years in the US........yet even he gets it wrong!!!!!

Those are the kind of statements that make me sick.

  9. Star Wars- I know its not likely, but I'd love it.

Halo- This is the only Video Game I'd really like to get its own Mates

Watchmen-maybe to get around the DC thing, they could make them based off the movie, like the Spirit Mates

Batman-Since DC mates seem to be pretty much done, I figure I'd add this. I just want a Batman line. I'm a Marvel guy, but I grew up with Batman comics and have always loved the character, despite not being a fan of any other DC superhero(That includes all of Batman's side kicks lol)

Dirty Harry- Love all 5 of the films, they have enough characters for two or three series'.

    Movie Box Sets

The Departed set 1- Costello, Dignam, Costigan, Collin,

The Departed set 2- Ellerby, Madolyn, Queenen , Mr. French.

Heat- Vincent, Neil McCauley, Chris Shiherlis, SWAT Officer

The Dark Knight 12 Pack- its a movie, so maybe the DC thing wouldn't effect it. Batman, Gordon, Bruce Wayne, Rachel Dawes, Alfred Pennyworth, The Joker, Harvey Dent, Two-face, Clown Thug, Maroni, Lucious Fox, SWAT Officer.

  10. Welcome, weezerspider!

Now it's a tradition that a certain member gives you a certain quote from a certain movie to guess, but I certainly got here first, soooo I want to give you a quote!

Try and guess what movie this quote is from: "Yikes! Spikes!"

...waits for T42 to see this thread :D....

Thats from the Little Rascals I think :D

Welcome! Do you have Kitty Pryde and Nightcrawler Minimates, too? Waiting there for you?

lol. Nice... I do have a Nightcrawler from the X-men box set ages ago.

  11. Halo could use a full blown line.

    Halo

    Series 1(Key Characters)

    Master Chief/ Cortona

    Arbiter/ Sgt. Johnson

Captain Keys/ His daughter(don't remember the name)

    Variant: Invisible Master Chief/ Cortona

    Series 2(Army Builder)

Marine 1/ Marine 2 (They would look different and have different weapons)

Elite 1/ Elite 2( They would have different weapons and look somewhat different)

Brute 1/ Brute 2(Brute 1 would have armor on, Brute 2 would not)

Variant: Brute 1/ The Brute thats the final boss in halo 2(again, I'm bad with names)

    Series 3(mix)

    Elite Flood/ Marine Flood

Battle Damaged Master Chief/ Battle Damaged Sgt Johnson

    Battle Damaged Arbiter/ ODST Soldier

Variant: BD Arbiter/ BD ODST Soldier

Series 4 (Vehicles) This wouldn't be an ordinary series and there wouldn't be a chase fig

Warthog(comes with three spartans, all different colors and different armors, same cost as a box set)

Ghost( 1 Elite, same cost as a 2-pack)

Mongoose( 1 Marine, same cost as a 2-pack)

Banshee( 2 Elites, same cost as a box set)

    Pelican(Pilot, Price of Box Set)

Lockout Plays set(or for us collectors, DISplay set)

  12. Hey, well, I'm new here, and I recently just started re-collecting minimates. What I mean is, I began collecting them when the Marvel mates were first released, but gave up around series 6 when my local comic store quit carrying them. I never was found of buying online much. Earlier this year, I found the Iron Man/ War machine pack at TRU and bought it and now I've gotten The Punisher box set, Villains Box Set, Iron Man Movie box set, The Incredible Hulk Movie series and a few 2-packs from TRU the last few months. What can I say, I'm hooked all over again!
