I've just been informed by my friend @ SDCC that, so far, there's no new Battle Beast MINIMATES on display. However, he DID see Battle Beast figures by Art Asylum that were about 6 inches tall. I didn't see that coming!
Update: PHOTO!

I must say, I love the thoughts everyone is sharing. Never thought this'd go this direction.

I have a displaying question for all of you minimate collectors out there. First, a bit of background. I've noticed lately, that every time I open up a new pack of my little buddies and I start putting their accessories on them that if they only have one weapon, I always ALWAYS put that one weapon in their right hand. The same goes for all of my action figures. I think I'm either left-hand prejudiced, or I just favor the right due to being right-handed. I hope the latter.
So, does anyone else favor either hand? Take a look at your collection. You may favor one hand over the other too, and not even know it.

I believe Target still sells these.

Like God Magnus, I have an extra C2E2 Battle Beast, and I'm wondering if anyone would like to trade it for a Toyfair Battle Beast. Please PM me if you're interested.

how hard was it to get the battle beast minimate there? did you just go up and ask? were they stingy with em?
From what I understand from my contact there, they were only handing them out one per person. No idea though if there's another time where they'll be handing them out again and anyone can go back.

I'm missing quite a bit of the Marvel stuff from Series 14 back. I'm not too concerned about those though. What I'm REALLY missing and trying to track down is Series 23 and Series 28. I told myself I wouldn't pay $30 on ebay for the Deadpool / Wolverine pack, and I'm right. Its now going for $40. So uncool. I also need to order Series 34 and the Spidey Friends and Foes pack.

I got an email from AFX last week. According to the tracking system, these guys should be waiting for me when I get home today.
-
Finally hit the jackpot today! I only got one of each but was tempted to get two Hulks and Storms for trading purposes.
Same here. Of course, I'm content with just one set. Although, I do hate how long it takes for this side of the nation to get everything.

AHHH!!! Why haven't one of us found any yet to post open pics!?!? I'm on the edge of my seat now!

What does everyone think of this? Has anyone used it with their collection. I'm considering picking it up, but I don't know if it'll look silly.
Here's a link, with better pics.

Ronin: I just got him a few months back, and I had only known he existed, I didn't know WHAT he looked like. I was so disappointed. He could be sooo much better. Lets get a slip-on mask, some worthy weapons, and no bulk.
Nick Fury: Copy/Paste anything anyone else said about him here.
Mystique: Horrible, just horrible the first time around.

I think I still have 2 MrF/Thing and Sue/HT packs. I'll check. you want them?
If Nessex is going to pass, any chance I could take them off your hands?
I hope its not first come, first serve, because I need those too. Contest? Best trade fodder? Whoever you like better?

Oh, this has me excited! Glad to see another battle-damaged figure, but he doesn't seem too beat up, for being Wolverine. I mean, he has been put through a ton of beatings, and this representation looks like a Tuesday morning. I guess I would of expected a well-torn mask maybe. My only other complaint is the fact that this is yet another armyless wave. I'm sick of most of my armies being duos. Otherwise, thanks AA for Klaw, Mohawk Storm, WWHulk, and Stretchy Reed!!!

Does anyone know the official street date of the Marvel Series 33 mates? I know they're slated for February, but I'd like it narrowed down from 28 possible days to one. Does anyone have an idea?

Blasted Kubricks strike again! Curses...
Thanks for the pics BHM

and the cast from the musical anime crossover: Interstella 5555!!!
Oh hell yes.
I like how their look is somewhat reminiscent of the old anime series like Gatchaman or Voltes V. You can even do two boxsets based on them: regular and
human
.
My thoughts exactly. Daft Punk actually collaborated with an acclaimed anime director. His name and other works escape me at the moment. Either way, awesome album, awesome movie, would-be awesome minimates.

I'd love to see Daft Punk. We can have duo in their robotic glory, the dog from Homework's videos, and the cast from the musical anime crossover: Interstella 5555!!!

My wish list for what version should be next of the overly populated:
Spiderman: Bag Head
Wolverine: House of M
Hulk: Mr. Fix-It
Iron-Man: Hulk-buster
Captain America: Earth X (Yeah, its time to start doing this mega-series.)

Does anyone know, or notice a difference with the Black Bolt from the TRU wave, and the one from Series 31? Just wondering.
I have the TRU and regular wave black bolt and didn't notice a difference between the two. No difference between the two Captain Marvel's, Iron Man, or Titanium man either.
Thanks. That means my TRU BB & CM are going back to the store.

I'm just -slightly- paranoid, because I ordered Series 25 from Toyrocket last year, and never got it, which forced me to pay through the nose for the variant on ebay, since by the time they canceled and refunded my order, no one had the wave in stock anymore. It wasn't until a coupe weeks ago that I finally got around to getting the regular set from Toynk. I don't want the same thing to happen with this wave, forcing me to track them all down on ebay in two months, lol.
I had a similar problem with another online toy store, but unfortunately it was with Series 28. I am still yet to get my favorite character in mate form. That being Deadpool.
-
I had the same problem, although my Magneto was from the TRU 2-pack. I think he looks silly with the helmet on anyways, so I wasn't too upset having to leave it off.

However many you're planning on making, double it, because they'll get bought. I betcha, I betcha. Great idea. Myselft, I'd like to see some clear peg stands for our flyers. Maybe even a multi-pack with different heights!

Much better showing of upcoming releases than previous years. I'm stoked.
