the BTTF series 2 set is on ebay... I had a winning bid of $20 for a couple days but now it's up to at least $35, guess I'll never have series 2

yes they are available for preorder on diamond select toys website, there are 2 versions of the Delorean, and one of them comes with the radiation suit Marty, maybe the other will come with radiation suit Doc. they will be available in late May.

I used foamcore, and the graphics were printed on 8.5 x 11 paper then re-assembled... you'd probably have better luck printing them on 11 x 17 paper so you dont have to line them when attaching to the foamcore... I dont have much else to say as its been quite awhile since I worked on this project. I have a thread over at gbfans.com too that might provide more info but I dont remember the exact url for that topic

I now have an actual series 1 Marty, to replace the one I made from spare parts (using Logans vest) but I did have fun doing it - I'd like to attempt to make a series 2 Marty now, but I have no idea if his jacket sculpt has been used for anything else, all of you are much more knowledgeable when it comes to this stuff, do you guys have any idea? his shoes were (I think) reused for the GB series jogger ghost, so I have no problem switching them for regular MM feet if I can manage to find the rest of the parts needed for a series 2 Marty http://www.minimatedatabase.com/img/fig/fig0428flg.jpg http://www.minimatedatabase.com/img/fig/fig0836flg.jpg

I saw them.....luvverly pair bwahaha - I got it if no one else did also TRU.com is out of stock of both Courtroom sets, luckily I ordered one of each of all four of the new series from them yesterday morning - I believe the para Pete/Vigo and gb2 Egon/ship capt are still available...

thats great! I was REALLY lucky to get my loose BTTF series 1 & 2 sets for under $30 on ebay, unfortunately they're for my nephew, and Ive only been able to obtain series 3 and a set of loose series 1 on ebay recently, I doubt I'll ever own series 2...

BBTS is offering a pre-order on the BTTF 2 Minimates set and you can even put up to 17 in your cart. I pre-ordered when it said due to arrive in January, but it never arrived and that changed to due in February after the month changed over. However, the item went to sold out status after I ordered mine, but a week or so later they moved it back up to 23 available for pre-order. The same thing happened with a pre-order on Good, Bad and the Ugly Minimates this month. So if this is just a mistake in their system, I can't explain why they would be raising the available quantity after a pre-order sold out if they don't expect to get more of the item in. I'm hoping that Diamond is cleaning out their warehouse and giving BBTS first dibs on the stuff they find, which would explain why no other retailer has these available to order now. http://www.bigbadtoystore.com/bbts/product...amp;mode=retail is that legit? whew! that was a nail-biter. I had 1 or more people bidding against me in the final seconds of the end of the auction, but I got the series 1 (loose) BTTF minimates for $23.01 + $5.65... more then I wanted to pay for loose minis (considering I recently won an auction for all 8 loose figures from series 1 and 2 for my nephew) but considering these are OOP, I shouldn't complain. at some point I'd also like to pick up series 2, but it seems those are even more rare then series 1 now I have to construct some sort of Clocktower diorama LOL

why does the series 1 Doc have green gloves/mittens on? I dont remember that from the movie which Ive seen about a hundred times...

yes, he's almost 6 and he's like a son to me and Ive got him interested in alot of the things I used to like (and still like) like Ghostbusters & Back to the Future - he already has the series 3 BTTF fourpack, as well as the Enchantment under the Sea set and for a valentines present this weekend I got him the Marty/Old Biff set and the DST light up/sfx 1:15 Delorean, he's going to freak out!

with a little guidance and a heads up from buttheadsmate, I won this auction last night for $20.50 + $4.95 s&h unfortunetly, these arent even for me! they're going to be for my nephew for his birthday! maybe I'll get lucky and they'll re-release these in the future so I can get them for myself.

speaking of rare over-priced BTTF merchandise LOL I see someone on ebay has a listing for a loose BTTF Delorean micro-machine (not the "action hovercars") for $75 - I also have this particular micro machine at home (and the police & delorean action hovercars as well, though Ive lost my texaco hoverport that goes with them) but I dont consider it so rare that I would ask $75 for it, that's ridiculous. does anyone else here have this (or a similarly rare BTTF item) and whats your opinion of the asking price?

correct, the fact that I lost doesnt bother me as much as that I was cruising for several days and there was a good chance I was going to win for my price cutoff or lower, and then someone or someones swoop in at the last minute and win it from under my feet.

I think when you call people names, the effect is that they tend to be insulted. Also a website devoted to the pursuit and love of minimates is probably a poor location to air these feelings. Sorry that you didn't win that set - it's pretty awesome. yeah Im sorry about that. I think I was just bitter because I lost. I love these things as much as everyone else here I just wish things werent so rare.

its not reasonable, it was my cutoff. though compared to that other auction for the BTTF1 mates (ended at $125 or so) I suppose $56 is a bargain.

I was winning an auction for the series 1 fourpack for a few days, it was around $25 - it was real quiet until the day the auction was ending, then suddenly people are bidding and its going up... I stopped at $40, I cant see paying anymore than that. it ended at $56, not to insult anyone but youre just stupid if you spend that much. unless you have a disposable income, but come on...

yes theyre not minimate scale - Ive found that the BTTF minimates look best posed next to my Welly deloreans, but they dont fit inside it... my nephew will have a blast with the DST 1:15 (site says 1:18 but theyre 1:15) because it rolls, the doors etc open and it lights up and has sound effects, and you can put the minimates inside which will be a huge bonus for him!

WOW! I actually just bought one of these for $40 from Toys R Us while there looking for Ecto-1 hotwheels, but for $20 I didnt hesitate to buy another one, which I can give to my nephew for his BTTF minimates, thanks for telling us about this!

clumped together most of my BTTF collection for a picture, its not very good but you can see one of my custom Martys sitting in a Welly delorean hair - T2 Kyle Reese head - Silence of the Lambs Clarice (backwards, drew face on w/ marker) vest - Marvel wave 26 Logan arms - SOTL Dr Hannibal Lecter torso - T2 Kyle Reese (with shirt details drawn on with marker) legs - SOTL Buffalo Bill shoes - T2 Kyle Reese and I made a Doc figure for my nephew to go with his BTTF series 3 "detention Marty" using the head of Buffalo Bill and the trenchcoat from Kyle Reese LOL

sweet! thanks guys - ebay has a couple loose ones for $5-7 (+sh), but then I found a buy-it-now for the logan/sabretooth 2 pack for $5.24+2.95 s&h so I bought it. my local walmart doesnt carry minimates and the closest toys r us is about 1.5 hours away but now that I look at closeups of each individual marty, I would still need to paint the denim jacket on his arms, and the plaid shirt over his red shirt, since the plaid shirt of the series 3 marty comes off like the vest does... hmmm....

You must not be checking eBay recently...if you did you'd be unpleasantly surprised. I think the fact that these are going for insane amounts on the secondary (the few times they show up) shows the interest in these. If they did re-release it, I'd rather see them re-done so that there's at least some differences in them for those of us who already have them. you're right... it was $40-50 when I stopped watching the auction... the actual final bid was $122.50 - who in their right mind would pay that? edit: I said screw it and just did a buy-it-now for $10.99+$5.00 s&h for the series three 4pack, though I really have no interest in the BTTF3 cowboy minimates... do you guys know if there any minimates that come with a similar removable vest that I could paint to look like the series 1 marty? something thats not as rare that I could get for cheap on ebay...
