It's interesting to see a similar sort of apathy to this wave from some of the regulars, as it matches my own. I'm not sure if it's DST's insistence on wanting to redo a lot of characters or what, but this wave doesn't interest me in the slightest. Apart from the new White Tigers boobs, obviously.

I feel like I have been skipping more and more Minimates releases recently, and this is just another one to add to that long list.

I started my pic-fic career with these little guys. They helped me get into Minimates.

I will say this, though. If DST can figure out how to pack a highly detailed, wonderfully sculpted, massively articulated figure in a 2" or smaller body then I'm headed for bankruptcy. Imagine Marvel Universe scaled down from 4" to 1.5". That would rock my brain out of my head!

I finally, finally FINALLY saw the other 2 "deluxe" sets (Car Wash and Gas Station) after months of nothing but Donut Dash and Micro Motors.

And, being the gent I am, gave them to my work colleague because I'd got his two young sons into Streetz last year. Toys are for kids at the end of the day, right?

I really hope I see them again! They were the only 1 of each that they had.

Never saw the last 2 Streetz sets that I'd given away. Until tonight in TRU! Woohoo! Good job I'm a patient sort! The Streetz stuff has been slowly disappearing - the Police Station set was available for half price in Tescos a couple of months ago so I picked it up, but really thought my chance at the last 2 sets I needed had gone, cos no-one was carrying them anymore.

TRU had a few sets of cars and the Police Station - all at full price until very recently - but tonight I saw my old friend Donut Dash. I dutifully went over to check the other sets they had - Donut Dash, Micro Motors, Donut Dash, Gas N Go! Spin Wash!

They were there even though I didn't think they would be. That's always the best kind of toy surprise

So I'm really happy to have completed this line. I don't think I've ever fully completed a toyline before! Got everything from actual shops, I really miss that with most of my toy purchases being Minimates which I don't see in stores.

I don't know if anyone is actually interested but once I've made everything and got it displayed I'll be taking some pics. I might also start with my website idea because there is a chronic lack of Streetz info out on the web and I think this might be a cult line a few years later. I certainly loved it

I really like the Elf and the Samurai, the rest seem a bit meh. Agreed that the selection is too sports/leisure based.

I'm glad, it was then worth the heavy price I paid typing "cowboy chaps" into Google image search! My eyes won't soon recover. Which I guess leads nicely back into Event Horizon again hehe.

Doom looks as bad as the Secret Wars one, the Thing just looks wrong, as bad as some of the Hulks. Reed is the same as his BD one, and Johnny looks OK I guess but the HT we already have is good enough. Mole Man looks OK, but I consider him non-esssential.

I picked up a wave 1 pack and a wave 2 pack (plus a LEGO Space astronaut keyring, being a 70s LEGO kid) from the LEGO Discovery store in Berlin a couple of days ago. Ended up with a wave 1 Ninja (he'll go well with my Prince of Persia set) and a wave 2 Explorer (he'll go well with POP or Indy). They were both towards the top of the list for my wants so very happy with that.

Totally agree. The army-builder Orcs/Uruk-Hai/Elves were the highlights of the line for me and I'm amazed we didn't get more packed together.

Lurtz looks totally badass! I loved the Orcs in this line and he would have been a real gem!

Seeing these makes me angry that we didn't get them, but there are clues as to why - character selection again all over the place, with another Aragorn and not one but 2 versions of the Twilight Witch King (who looks great but had about 5 seconds screen time).

But oh that Ringwraith 2-pack. Shit, are you telling me AFX didn't want to pick that up? OK they got burned by the Elves (which I thought were actually pretty cool, but could see why they weren't mass market toys, being Prologue perhaps hurt them), but the Ringwraiths? The coolest looking bad-guys in the film? And collectors straight away need 4 packs?

They could have sold them, I am sure. Maybe not this wave, but them.
