By 90's Beetle, do you mean the Leila Davis Redeemers version?

Abe Jenkins Beetle is my only real Spider-Man want that isn't a redo. I'd want to see what I think of as his classic costume, the one he wore in the 70s and 80s, as well as prior to becoming Mach-I of the Thunderbolts.

Jenkin's second Beetle armor is the one everyone remembers best. And the one I'd most like a minimate of. That said, the Mark III Beetle Jenkin's designed and used in briefly of the T-Bolts was pretty darn cool. That's probably the two Mystery is talking about.

I will also say that while I initially objected to the idea of a female Beetle, I really enjoyed Superior Foes/Fred's Sinister not-Six as a book. And at this point, I'd like a Janice Lincoln Beetle too.

  2. Nightwatch... yeah... I don't think they've as much as mentioned their not-Spawn in a decade. But everybody has a fan. I like Thunderstrike, so I don't judge. (and I have the whole run of that book so... yeah)

A wave of 90's all stars would be fun.

It probably would, but personally I think the Panthro head would be a better fit.

Depends on the Jackal. Classic? Clone Saga? Most Recent?

  4. Osborne's T-bolts just weren't the T-Bolts, they were the Suicide Squad. Which was fun, no doubt. But it wasn't some known 616 supervillains trying to reform, and not sure how. Which was what I liked about the team.

And stealing Robbie's joy like that, I'd rather not go through that again. I didn't enjoy it the first time. But YMMV.

Now the question is- will these Warriors be in costume, or plain clothes? Cause I'm really over the heroes in a hoodie thing.

  5. the New Warriors were initially Night Thrasher, Firestar, Nova (Rider), Marvel Boy (Astrovich), Namorita, and Speed Ball. As time went on Silhouette, Rage, and Turbo joined the team, Marvel Boy changed his name to Justice, Namorita went by Kymaera for a while, Dagger, Scarlet Spider, Darkhawk, and Alex Power briefly joined (Ben joined in an attempt to link the book to the Spider Titles), less said about Hindsight the better, and they came within issues of creating Richard Rider- Space Knight as they picked up threads of left over Dire Wraith / Rom plots as the first series wound down. There have been at least four attempts to restart the book, the second was the reality TV idea which featured Microbe and Debris as members and eventually lead to Stamford. None have gained any traction. Pretty much as soon as original writer Fabian Nicieza (yes I had to look up how to spell it) left the book, it started to fall apart and never recovered.

Interestingly, Squirrel Girl was never a member of any 616 version. That was only the Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon.

I'm totally on board for Cardian, Calypso, Beetle and Tombstone minimates!

And Puma, and Vermin, and Carrion, and Prowler, and Styx & Stone, and Molten Man, and Demogoblin, and Jackal, and Boomerang, and Silvermane, and Hammerhead...

  7. I doubt the Celestials were part of the X-Men license. Fantastic Four on the other hand... that's possible. But it's really fuzzy, the Kree first appeared in Fantastic Four, yet they are in the MCU. Skrulls are Fox. So are the Badoon for some odd reason. How the Inhumans were not part of the FF deal also baffles. So whether we're dealing with a Celestial Homage or an actual 1000 ft giant, we'll probably have to wait till November.

  8. Well Ten...

    Spoiler

In the MU, no one knows what a celestial looks like without their armor. It could be the same thing here. Ego could be an orphaned celestial in the MCU that without the guidance of the others developed into a planet and not an armored giant.

    Just sayin'.

  9. Surtur's in 74 or one of the Ragnarok sets. Probably not in both. (but I could be wrong)  Considering how close the movie and comics designs are, he may be here because he they ran out of room in the Ragnarok.

Ulik the Rock Troll is our best guess as an alternate.

Anyways, looking back, that advice would have been much appreciated before viewing Alien 4 for the first time.

I paid to see it at the theater. I was too stunned, too stupefied with what was on the screen to move. By the time I fully registered what they had really done, they created the afore mention 1 inch opening, and at that point morbid curiosity took over. Kept waiting for the Bobby-in-the-shower twist ending that never came.

I used to hate Pred-2... but it's grown on me over time. It's like Jaws, in that when I'm flipping channels... er scanning the guide for you kids... I always seem to find it playing sometime after the opening shootout. And finding nothing else that fits the "background noise while I work" midday TV viewing requirements, I end up finishing "watching" it. Kinda like Jaws... always seem to find it on, can't tell you last time I saw it start to finish.

Anyway, none of them are as good as the first one, mostly because we already know the drill, we've seen the big reveal, and you kinda know what's coming.
