  1. My favorite band is from Arizona.

    what band would that be?

    Mesa's own Jimmy Eat World

good stuff, one of the best bands from here (tucson's "the bled" being my personal favorite)

  2. the movie is flat-out one of the best movies I have ever seen, bar none.

this post is flat-out one of the saddest posts I have ever seen, bar none.

cool, thanks for the feedback. I was just wondering about the quality of my last post

anyways, I just saw it a third time, and it hasn't lost its' luster yet.

don't get me wrong, I Get the point of the comic, I just didn't find as much intrigue in the comic as I did in the movie.

maybe it's because everyone built up the comic saying it was "one of the best books ever" and so on, but I just don't see it.

on a side note, I found out the scripts for the movie and the comic were written at the same time, with matthew vaughn and mark millar collaborating along the way. I thought the comic was plotted out beforehand at least, but I guess not.

  3. so i've seen kick-ass twice now (three times by week's end), and I ended up just buying the hardcover.

the movie is flat-out one of the best movies I have ever seen, bar none.

the comic issss so-so. there are a few things from the comic I would've loved to have seen in the movie,

like when kick-ass and big daddy meet, kick-ass says "nice to meet you" and big daddy just says "fuck off".

that was pretty great. but other than that I thought the movie triumphed over the comic. but that's just me

  4. i HATED Lady Gaga when she first hit. could not stand the skank. Her last two singles have brought me around a little, so i decided to bite the bullet and went to her concert.

I managed to get last minute tickets (like, the day before) right down the front.

The show was AMAZING. i'm a total convert. She is quite an entertainer. There were explosions, fireworks, giant onster puppets, angle-griders, neon lights, flaming pianos, subway carriages and much more!

I'll be lining first in line for tickets to her next show.

i'm the same way, minus getting to see her live =(

but yeah, everyone was going crazy for her and I honestly didn't see the big deal.

then my recent ex listened to her all the time. "paparazzi" is the song that converted me. lol

  5. If you drop the leg in boiling water for a bit, not hard at all.

If you go at it dry, you may end up snapping the peg. Something I learned the hard way about a dozen times on other customs before considering the hot water trick.

yeah, I didn't know about the boiling water trick, that's good to know for next time =)

so yeah, it was a little tricky to remove it without breaking it... but having 14 other t-800 legs I could use if I did break it took some of the pressure off. lol

i'm working on a few other QC's, so i'll be posting more pics once those are finished :D

  6. And it used the freakin Banana Splits theme in a fight scene.

THERE. as simple as that. even if I didn't already REALLY want to see it, that would sell me.

I still need to read the series before I see the movie, does anyone know if it's hit TPB yet?

  7. *deadgirl

    *michael morbius

    *xorn

    *black knight

*warpath (in his modern x-force costume)

    *shatterstar

    *the hood

    *pete wisdom

    *domino

    *crossbones

it's a bitter sweet sort of thing that none of my ten have been made yet haha, on one hand, I want these damned mates.

on the other, I don't have to think of ten more characters I want to see made XD

  8. so, with all the down time and no money, i've been doing minor tinkering here and there with minimates. nothing too major, but I think I came up with a pretty good one for starters :D

    IMGP0056.jpg

I did this forge using charlie sheen's hair from platoon, heroes wolvie's body, tony stark's head (gold armor), a t-800 thigh and a silver hand :D

  9. "How could the same shit happen to the same guy twice?"
I had to cheat :X it's been years since I had seen it, so you stumped me!

It's fine. You stumped me. What is your name from!?!?

BTW, for those wondering, Die Hard 2 was the answer.

my name is a character from the book "neverwhere" by neil gaiman. it's probably my favorite of his stuff. :D

  10. hello again, everyone. it's killcharlesdead, but i've changed my name to a more awesome one.

i've been absent since october due to pneumonia, and the financial strain of keeping up with bills/mates.

anyhoo, i'll be posting as much as I can on here, but as finances are more strained... I may not have as much feedback on my beloved collectables =(

so anyhow, i'm back in some form!

  11. I guess this is many peoples' perception of what you & I look like Twisted :D

    As for your friend....which movie.....Carrie? Girl .....Fire...End !

    those cosbabies frighten me

BHM, you should empty your inbox buddy ;) (sorry for the off topicness)

  12. I for one wouldn't get rid of any of my mates, just because they got cancelled (or whatever). i'd hold on to them all, and treasure them the same as I do now. I would still post on here, whenever I see anything worth posting about. the general section wouldn't die, as I doubt movies and comics will cease being released as well. lol

    that's my two cents.
