  1. Unrelated rant:

Q&A is an awesome service but the massive question blocks drive me crazy. i just skip them now in favor of the short & sweet one/two question sets. I know he has asked that we all keep it to five per submission, but maybe a simple tweak of their site to include five separate questions fields with twitter-esque 140 character limitations could solve this.

    End rant:

Psyched for NYTF. Marvel stuff might be sparse if i am reading Chuck correctly but the Calico Jack & MAX display could be a total win.

  2. Here is my Halo diorama (so far). I am awaiting more bad guys from the dump and box set I had ordered to make the "battle" seem less one sided. The street ruins came from Luke's. I was playing around with a photo app on my phone but if you want clear normal pics let me know.

  3. While I've not read the Cap America comics, I'm fairly certain I know what you mean Rob, and certainly understand your point.

I don't think there should be a problem with a swastika on a toy, it doesn't mean fascism is being supported in anyway, etc. but I can understand a company like Marvel deciding against using such symbols on there toys... there will be complains, thats what people are like. It does seem like a case of double standards or what not, but I suppose removing accurate symbols from toys is just the same as changing the names of characters.

It all seems similar to when Mattalica made the first Hitler mate, he received a pretty silly backlash from some corners.

As for kids seeing things and asking questions, this is certainly a case for including these symbols, I for one think its important kids know about groups like Nazis, people understand who there where and what they did, etc. There are few greater threats in this world than ignorance itself. In terms of comic characters, etc. as well... acknowledging Cap was created as a symbol against such powers only enhances and helps demonstrate what is so special about the man himself.

without wanting to open a whole new can o' worms... I wonder if its a British/American thing

it is illegal to even have a swastika on anything in Germany. This could also be a reason to not have it on there. It would be easier and cheaper to create one universal product than to give each region to separate designs

  4. After tuat website nonsense this morning I walked right into my TRU and asked if they had them. They brought out a fresh case for me and I took one of each cannonball & warlock sets. If you live near Montgomeryville, PA there should still be one of each and all of the wolverine & spider-man sets.

  5. i was able to add both of them to my cart but somewhere in check out the Warlock one became unavailable and the order went through anyway for just the shatterstar one. I quickly went ahead and canceled the order because i dont want to pay $6 in shipping for just one item.
