I'm curious, why do you think Kraven needs an update?

First off, I toatlly agree w/ everyone and had no idea of what kind of can o' worms I was opening... prettymuch everything people said are on my list but as for Kraven I feel he wasn't given his due- the chest piece could've been done better, I always see him w/ the flowing lion's mane behind him, his hairpiece annoyed the hell out of me, and his face just didn't seem to be Kraven. Not to mention the accessories could've been better- a spear, net, and machette/ sword, he rarely used a rife. So that's why I say Kraven. But he's lower on the list compared to several others.

Been thinking about this for a while and finally decided to bring it up- Which already released Marvel Minimate characters deserve an update? They just now announced a 'new' Deadpool and Cable so I'm just wondering what or who people wish to see remade. Some of my personal pics are: Nightcrawler, Colossus (a good one), Kraven, Elektra, Power Man/ Luke Cage, and Lady Deathstrike.

I'm still working on getting more army builders, my financial means are fairly meager right now so I don't have as many as I would wish, especially since I actually can't afford getting the entire series sets at once... but I've no problem w/ too many wolvies, sabretooth (teeth?), caps, etc, since I need custom fodder

been busy working on new customs (including a new Zedd and Goldar) but figured I'd post some of my semi-favorite (don't have pics of my favorite yet but working on it) so here goes- btw I decided to nix the rest of the Rangers (mostly) and show the villains since the Rangers mostly have the same look w/ no special quirks or whatever- just different themes and weapons.

It would be fun to see an attempt at customizing these random guys, and Blob would make a near-excellent base for Bulk's, erm, bulk.

And I'm really loving your X-Men Evolution designs! Just the right balance of the cartoon's dynamic look and Minimate, uh, minimalism. Kurt's expression is just perfect, and Toad just needs some Minimate slipper feet and he'll be all set.

I recommend Photobucket. It automatically resizes photos once you upload them and you can sort them in folders and stuff (can be useful for those 16 seasons ) Then you just need to get the hang of BB tags and you're all set

actually since they're all on paper I simply use an art folder with dividers to keep them in the right spot, the hard part is finding the time right now to whip out the camera and take pics to upload. ahhh the drama of life.

Real spiffy work buddy Contrary to conventional wisdom I highly approve of Power Rangers Minimates in any shape or form... as long as it's Minimates.

Thanks for the compliments. Haven't done Alpha yet and I'm not truly pleased with my Bulk and Skull designs- the only problem now is finding a way to upload all the designs for the Rangers that I have done (with 17 seasons and me having done 16 of them almost in full- not done yet there's a lot) plus I'll be uploading more than the Power Rangers soon

I've never been a Power Rangers fan, but your drawings look great. i think these would make for cool looking Mini's.

hey I just starting actual customizing and was wondering what the best tools are for cutting. ex. turning a powerhouse chest into armor. any and all input appreciated.

wow, bunch more haters out there than I expected... I ain't givin up tho so HA! But I have to mention the door it would open since the Rangers are now owned by Disney.....

So it surprises me how few people have thought of how awesome it would be to create Power Ranger minimates. As far-fetched as it is, it would still be one cool series. Personally I've been working on matifying as many as possible (drawing them, I can't customize worth anything) and was wondering how many other like minds there are out there. Working on uploading my drawings to share but my technological situation is currently not the best (plus I hate technology in general) so yeah, let's just open up the floor to the Ranger talk now!

About time someone else said it!!! I've been drawing the Rangers in minimate form since minimates first came out!! They would so kick ass w/ all the villains (which are a pain to convert) so yes, the Power Rangers need to be transformed into minimates- simple as that.

I agree that Pyro's not as recognisable as Sabretooth - but in fairness Sabretooth hasn't worn his Jim Lee costume for close to 10 years - or his FA costume for about 20years (Which are the costumes we are getting in MiniMate form). Pyro may not be a big hitter like Sabretooth, but when i see us getting LESS recognisable (as far as kids tv goes) chacaters like Lady D, Thanos, Bullseye, Leader etc . . . who aren't really Kids TV characters - i get confused as to how the 'Recogniseable = Marketable' argument works.

I'll admit - i'm pretty biased towards X-Villains cause i grew up with them, but Pyro has been one of the cool X-Men bad guys for a years & his look has been fairly consistent:

Okay. Let me say this again. I am not trying knock Pyro. I was just disputing the claim that Pyro and the Mandarin are as recognizable to kids as Sabretooth and Electro. It was not my intention to say that this somehow disqualified Pyro from getting a minimate. There's a generation of comics book geeks that have no idea who Mariko is but we got a mate of her. Yes, Pyro is as recognizable as Lady D, Leader, or Thanos as far as kids go, and they got mates. Heck Thanos is nihilistic Death worshiper, and he got a mate. (although try explaining nihilism to an 8 year sometime)

Current Wolverine & The X-Men Pyro

Just FYI, he hasn't appeared in costume yet. He was in the first episode out of costume, but hasn't appeared since. Or let me add the qualifier- If he has, my DVR skipped the episode for some reason and my boys are going to kill me.

Actually he has, in later episodes after his brief appearance he's once again Magneto's lackey and helps to capture Nightcrawler. So unfortunately your DVR skipped or the TV schedule messed up the episodes, they tend to do that.

There are several villains from across the board that I'm surprised we haven't gotten. We're 30 waves in and we haven't gotten a Mandarin or a Pyro mate? I think both of these guys, among others, are as familiar to kids as Electro or Sabretooth or whoever else we've gotten

Pyro is different. Do kids know him from the X-movies? Sure. Do they recognise him as the guy in the orange and red costume and big red goggles? Not really. Put Nitro's fire hand and Hydroman's hair on Marty Mcfly in Disguise and that they might recognise as Pyro. And he hasn't appeared in costume in the newest X-Men cartoon either.

On the other hand, Electro was in a couple of episodes of Spectacular Spider Man. The look was very different, but the lightning around the head, and general color scheme was the same. And Sabretooth is very memorible from the first movie, even before the current one came out.

Not to be a jerk, but i'm pretty sure the Red & Yellow goggled Pyro appeared in the original X-Men animated series from the 90's. He also featured in the 2nd and 3rd series of X-Men Evolution with a similar, although slightly modernised costume. He also appeared in similar costumes in X-Men Legends & X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse. There was also a recent Marvel Legends figure of him in his classic costume, as well as a Superhero Squad version in the same garb.. For anyone who has history with the X-Men, i think he's pretty recognisable. Maybe not as recognisable as Sabretooth - but i'd recognise him before i recognised The Leader (Hulk), Ultron (Avengers) or Lady Deathstrike (X-Men).

True Pyro has been featured in X-men Evolution AND Wolverine and the X-Men in something close to his classic costume so the classic would work.

In a perfect world we'd get an Avalanche/Pyro two-pack in the next wave.

Apart from Freedom Force, Hellfire Club, and Brotherhood of Evil Mutants (must have an updated Juggernaut w/powerhouse piece), I would also like to see Mimic, Arcade, some 2-inch Sentinels, Reavers, Marauders, Mojo, and Proteus.

Dang. Forgot how many good badguys (so to speak) there are out there, maybe top ten wasn't enough. But for the Sentinels couldn't we also get Bastion, Nimrod, and Human Sentinels?

So the current score for minimate villains compared to heroes is grim. Just figured I'd bring up my top ten X-Men villains I'd love to see transformed into mates. I have a soft spot for the X-Men since I grew up w/ the 90's TV show.

Love the new wave for the two much-wanted villains and the HoM spidey, I just like that outfit. The only problem w/ all these new badass mates AND the Transformers 2 figures my wallet is gonna be raped......

I think that is just natural: If you were to become a future Marvel villain minimate, would you want to face 20 crazy X-Men with outstanding powers, or are you willing to join a gang of already 15 deadly guys who only have to face a handfull of unorganized heroes? I know that if it was up to me - and giving that decision to an unmaterialized spirit is the way new Minimates come to life as we all know - I'd love to be in the Wrecking Crew!

Small hole in your logic there. While there may only be four or five unique characters in the Spider-Man stable, there are still in the neighborhood of 30 Spider-Men running around the Marvel Minimate Universe. You're better off squaring off with the X-Men and hoping that the all-Wolverine unit is busy fighting someone else.

Or if you're one of the two Magneto mates hope to god the small few un-adimantiumized Wolverines don't kill you before you're done w/ the regulars. But if you're up against Spidey it'd be the clone saga from hell....

well they first appeared as villains and had villainous plans to take over the world. plus the skrull we're getting has an evil look to him.

do we really need another spidey, but if so insulated, Kaine, bag-man, the Slingers (Dusk, Ricochet, Prodigy, Hornet), and noir would be cool.
