  1. Ha! Clearly we both appreciate a well articulated mini figure with attractive sculpting :)

You definitely have the right idea wth regard to using these figures as game board miniatures. he are the right scale and take the gaming experience to its fitting next step - poseable , in scale miniatures that can act out the action to a degree. I'd already be playing a board game or be involved with wargaming had they done this years ago. As it stands i just appreciate the scultping from afar.

The Dragon Universe figures are another example of not really needing a reason to own things if they look cool enough :D Their looking cool is reason enough.

  2. I saved the image from the Bloks board (forum) but the image is posted both there by the official company rep and on the Mega Bloks official Facebook page.

AnD YOU AND I BOTH. I haven't been this interested in a toy line in a long time and this was BEFORE the zombie image was released. This just put my interest through the roof. Truthfully im not very interested in zombies outside of the Walking Dead television show.

However my loved one is :D The zombies in cute miniature form should appeal to her thus giving me an excuse to buy more military figures. Regarding whether or not specific COD characters are going to be made - yes. They already have made specific characters . If the guy you want hasn't been made yet I'd imagine he will.

Oh...and they already have military figure sets. A SEAL team and a Desert themed team. These are figure only sets . The vehicle sets come with unique characters from the game .

  3. The COD sets will be my first foray into building blocks until i can buy the figure only sets. I'll admit im genuinely interested in building something unique though. The Dome base set looks awesome as does a Halo base set I've seen as well. I'd love to build extensions off of those main bases to create a bigger base in the future. It should make for a nice display.....

    For those awesome figures lol!!

  4. These are the micro action figures i've been waiting on for 5 years...

I'd almost given up on mass produced toylines from major companies. I had next to zero interest before hearing about these.

This...has changed everythign for me. I plan on buying at least 2 sets as soon as they are available near me.

The fact that the seal can cross his legs (nice shot btw. I havent seen anything that creative in reviews yet) while laying back....sold.

Just an EXCELLENT effort by Mega Brands with these Mega Bloks sets. I seriously cant think of anything better IMO.

  5. i think what annoys me most about lego and the movie/video game line is that you can't pose the figures how they are drawn. like ya they would be awesome if you could articulate them in action poses but they are basically stuck in an eyes-front, hands-down pose.

    ^ This.

Minimates are what many imagine Lego figures to be ( i know i imagined LEGO figures in this way as a 5 yr old). I realize that these images call upon one to see through the eyes of a child or to use their imagination but we live in a day and age where block figures actually *can* move as they are shown on print media covers.

Simply use the right block figure i.e. Minimates.

  6. Mega Bloks will launch a series of Call of Duty building sets.
The figures are fully articulated - including - swivel hinge elbows .
In addition the weapons need to be assembled and include removable ammo clips amongst other features.

I have no interest in Call of Duty but im buying these for the custom fodder alone. Pray for figure only packs.

  7. I noticed a members avatar image showed a minimate with arms that looked similar to the 3'' minimate arms (i.e. a 2 sided elbow hinge instead of a single sided elbow hinge). Has the 3'' minimate arm style been used on 2'' minimates before? I really like that style of arm and would like to know which specific mates used that arm style if so .

  8. Wow! We shattered $14,000 level! That means that everyone who has pledged at the $45 level or higher will also receive a free Series 2 figure with their pledge rewards.

    Let's shoot for $17,000 next!

If $17,000 goal is achieved , not only will we be able to add in a SECOND Series 2 figure to those at the $45 level or higher, but we will also add in the BONUS Gold Lion to everyone who is at the $30 level.

Let's keep this momentum going!!!! Thank you to EVERYONE that has contributed and those of you who havent yet there is still time to get on board !!!

  9. I am ALL over that "Horned Toad" figure. I dont care what its official name is - it's RED DRAGON to me and i must have MANY. I pledged for 4 unpainted and 4 painted .

An exclusive gold armored lion figure has been added as a free bonus for pledges above a certain level! :
