  1. Hey guys! So if you're bored of my paintings/drawings or are waiting for the next picture-- tough! The art workshop I do the stuff at is most likely to be gone for the summer, but I do have something new for people!

My own Black Canary Quick-Custom! (With the same crappy built-in webcam on my mac. Sorry! :( )

    The parts are--

    Hair: Stargirl

    Head: Natalie Romanova

    Chest: (Champions) Black Widow

Arms: Flesh coloured (with a pair of bands from X-Force Wolvie and Jim Lee Cyclops) *Alternate is to put on black arms with same bands)

    Hands: Black coloured

    Crotch: Black coloured

    Legs: Flesh coloured

    Feet: (Bucky) Captain America.

    *Other: (IM1) Rhodey

Please post comments or improvements! This is my first QC that is actually based off a real character :)

    *Edit.

  2. I am new to the Battle Beasts, but since the first Alligator beast came out I've really wanted one. Now after seeing those old Battle Beasts figures that maxcarnage posted, I want to see more variations of the Battle Beasts and NOT only be given away at Conventions. These guys are way too wanted just for those! :)

  3. ANTAGONIST: I agree with Trekker 42, Col. Hans Landa of "Inglourious Basterds" is definitely the embodiment of all evil. The evil grin, the evil plan, the evil look, everything about Landa is freaky! Every time he was on-screen I was sitting at the edge of my seat and Christoph Waltz made it all that much better.

PROTAGONIST: Tallahassee from Zombieland was incredibly funny and active-- and he is totally badass. I have watched it 4 times, 40% at least because of him.

I'm pretty sure there's another character for the good guy, but he's at the top of my head right now. I can think of others like Hit-Girl from Kick-Ass, but I'll save her and others for other categories.

  4. Oh. My. Crap. I had no idea they had Street Fighter IV, Resident Evil and Metal Gear Solid for it!!! I am definitely going to get this! Hopefully I can get it as a Christmas present. :)

Thanks for the info on the link!

  5. Haha, yeah I thought it was hard to believe as well. The idea is... interesting. I like that it's not entirely 2D animated like the old cartoon and movies. It's more along the lines of Alvin and the Chipmunks. Anyway, I do want to watch it!

At my school, my house's mascot are Smurfs because our colour is light-blue. :)

  6. I know! My family lives there and I go to SF every summer. I only know a few and normally go to the Comic Outpost because it's only a short drive from home. I hope this helps :)

On Ocean Ave, there's The Comic Outpost. GREAT place in my opinion, the ground floor is for comics, mostly (minimates being quite close to the window side), and in the little attic there's a spot for old issues and old Marvel Legends toys.

[Also, you get to try out the Cheesecake shop (Zanze's) which is practically sponge cake-- it's so delicate you have to use a wire to cut it. But get there quick, because when the holidays start, Zanze himself will go on a very long leave.]

On the far side of San Mateo (I think), there's a Lee's Comics. Very wide range of comics, but less minimates.

There's also Amazing Fantasy at Irving, which is a smaller shop, but has a load of classic figures and lots of back issues.

    {Check out Stonestown Galleria as well, it's a nice mall with things from chocolate and food courts to GameStop and Borders}

  7. This is my entry, but it just needs a little more adjustments.

You can listen to your minimate using your headphone.

    I think im gonna call him I-mate 0001 :)

That's so cool! You could call him "SpI-mate" because he looks like he's infiltrating someplace in the pic where he's hanging down. Or you could just use him for a wire-wrapper. :)

  8. Reviving the topic... with the TDK poster, painted! Honestly, I liked the sketch a LOT more than the painting. It just looks unfinished...

(Once again, quality of the picture is quite crappy. The blue tint on the second pic is because of the flash on my Photobooth.)

By the way, there is another painting in the works currently. Hopefully I can get the WIP up. :)

    Hint: Iron Man.
