  1. Danny and his site are the whole reason I got into Minimates. I was poking around on eBay looking for Spider-Man Legos, when I found these weird Minimate things. I got to wondering if there were any other ones and starting browsing the web. Minimates Central was at the top of the list, and I got to looking around and...

...my wallet has never forgiven me.

My current offer is $10 and a framed picture of a goat eating a pancake.

I shudder to think what the offer for MMHQ will be, assuming JP didn't gamble it away in a drunken bet again.

  2. I'd be surprised if it didn't manage to tie in with Spider-Island in some way. Lots of Spider-Men running around and lots of enemies updated with Spider-Man powers. Chuck must be in heaven. And since it all loosely ties in with stuff like the Clone Saga, we could even shoehorn Kaine, Scarlet Spider, and others in some sort of accompanying sets.

  3. I'm juggling about eleventy billion games right now. Too many that I've barely started or just haven't finished, so I'm trying to whittle that list down some. Doesn't help with all the Steam sales, where some game that you might see yourself playing one day is suddenly available for a limited time at $5. The list of games I have on Steam that I haven't even installed is staggering.

Oh, and I'm playing Duke Nukem Forever. While it isn't great, I'm still having some fun.

  4. 1) I could split this up. You guys think that's helpfull? I mean it would just be that round. Next is 8 matches, then 4, 2 and the finals.

    2) Sorry, I'm not sadistic, so I didn'T plan on letting the girlfriends face each other. If that was what the both of you had in mind, pardon. But I don't want to mix everything up again. :ermm:

I think it works the way it is. Like you said, even if its cumbersome, its only for one round.

As for having the ladies fight, not everyone can fight their rival in the first round. We'll just have to make sure they meet up in the finals.

So, in the end, no worries. You're doing a great job. Appreciate you putting in all this work to put it together.

  5. By the way, there will be at least one hidden character that I will be posting pictures of soon from an anonymous donor. This character (or characters) will be akin to Reptile in Mortal Kombat 2 - not a part of the main selection screen (or part of Bob's tournament) but unlockable during gameplay. :)

Now it feels like a fighting game! Don't suppose there's enough time for some one to whip up a pallet swap character?

  6. I've mostly been failing at Terraria lately. I have been making some progress though. I finally beat the Eye of Cthulhu, who for some reason took to attacking me nightly. Burned through all my shurikens and a good chunk of my health potions, but he is dead (for now).

  7. I don't really see why they would have any say in the matter. I guess they are distributing it. Dunno. They do tend to end up with the excess of exclusives, so maybe they figure if you aren't selling enough of their product, they'd be more likely to be stuck with a few thousand sets that need to be moved.

But yeah, if you have the money to buy the product outright, I don't see what the issue is. They aren't stuck with anything, so why should they care if you end up using the box sets as building material for an addition on your house.

  8. I imagine you'd have to get together a few thousand dollars to cover all your production costs and there is likely a minimum run you'd have to make, meaning you can't just make 50 sets for the 50 people who chipped in.

On top of that, there's likely some restrictions on what you can and cannot choose as far as an exclusive goes, what with future line plans to consider and the possibility that Marvel may have put certain stipulations regarding certain characters and universes.
