So the bigger impact is if marvel puts the kie-bosh on fantastic four minis what's next x-men, Spider-man characters?
-
What about another run at Kang!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
I want to see more Irish characters (Banshee comes to mind with a Black Tom Cassidy).
-
This is the first time I actually called one of the minis right with Angela. Sweet!!!
-
Deathlok/ Whip Lash
Black Knight/ Whirl Wind
Quasar/ Shi'Ar Soldier
Gladiator/ Shi'Ar Soldier
Toys R Us
Banshee/ Blob
Sunfire/ Pyro
Cardiac/ Doppleganger
Forge/ Toad
If they made these I could honestly walk away..................well maybe.
-
Was the Spawn cross-over character in AoU? Angela (or something like that). Could possibly lead to Spawn mates.
-
Those are some pretty sweet looking MOTU legos customs. Makes the sting even worse that we'll probably never see them in minimate form.
Yeah the legos are alright, but I know DST would make these look amazing.
This is a slam dunk for Mattel to sub-contract this licsense to DST.
Also what was/ is greater in the Pantheon of 80's cartoons: Thundercats or MOTU?
-
Once again, the vagueries of licensing elude me. Mattel will award the MOTU license to Funko for all manner of plushes, bobble heads, and straight-out vinyl figures – apparently not "toys," but... "novelty collectibles" I suppose? – but when it comes to a 2" block figure that would in no way compete with their core toyline, it's unthinkable.
The Funko guys must have some damn impressive powers of persuasion...
Or some incrimating photos of someone high up at Mattel. Probably something that happened at at Christmas party back in the 80's.
Also, I would call minimates a novelty collectable more so than a toy.

Top seven (started out as top three) wants:
- Cardiac
- Demongoblin
- Doppleganger
- Shriek
- Puma
- Rose
- Jack-O-Lantern
-
So, if Icon is getting at least 5 waves from the Thundercats is there a greater possibility of getting the Masters of the Universe since Icon owns that franchise as well?
First Wave:
He-man
Skeletor
Teela
Evilyn
-
I remember the 90's cartoon had Forge involved. Finally could cross him off the list.
-
It's been a while, but here goes:
-Deathlock
-Gladiator
-Stryfe
-Whirlwind
-Blizard
-Night Thrasher
-Doppleganger
-Shriek
-Demon Goblin
-Brotherhood of Evil Mutants
-
There are some slight differences on some figures & some major differences on others. Loke seems to actually be a 'new' figure cobbled together from old parts. Big cape from comic Thor, but with a movie helmet. Looks like we're also getting the hair-piece that was originally planned to go with movie Loki, which is pretty awesome
Yeah Best of 2 is going to be great. I just can't justify buying the first best of set if there is no big difference.
-
Was this set like the new best of wave or simply e-treads?
-
I'm still hankering for Toad. I think he's the last guy of that old OLD poster that hasn't been made yet.
I wouldn't mind some Freedom Force/Modern Brotherhood characters for the X-Men to battle too... Blob, Pyro, Destiny et al.
Toad will be the featured mini in wave 100. Of course he'll be the variant. By the way I think we need to kick off that thread.
-
So it's:
Firelord and airwalker
Worthy and mighty
Annihilus and thing
Franklin with herbie and bag man
This is it for sure. But what other choices are there for "The Worthy and Mighty"?
Would the Bag Man have a Spidey head or Peter Parker head?
-
This might have been mention already, but will these guys come with the chest piece stickers/ decals? Fire, Water, Tree
-
For the record, if there is one, Whirlwind should be an easy pick for DST in the future. He...
...is a Master of Evil
...has been a toy before, in the old ToyBiz Iron Man line
...seems likely to be a toy again in the current Marvel Universe line, if rumors are to be trusted
...has appeared prominently in the "Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes" cartoon
...was in that awesome side-scrolling "Avengers" button-mashing game from the 80s
So OK, granted, that last one is perhaps a less compelling argument, but I have fond memories of that game.
HAHA, That is one of the reasons I actually want Whirlwind (also the 90's Iron Man cartoon). I think my thumbs still have blisters from that game.
-
What about Conan the barbarian? Or what about asterix and obelix. Or what about Lucky Luke? These would make awesome mates. Think of it: pirates,Romans, suit variations, cowboys, aliens, monsters an so on...
I am down for an Asterix and Obelix series. That would be awesome. Also, they are doing a kiddy 3D movie for these famous Gaulians.

I for one, will not be satisfied without a White Sasquatch variant. Just because it's SUCH an easy variant to make... I mean you take the same sculpt... and make it white! DO EET!
But I already went into this in another post.
Wendingo = the evil Sasquatch

My guess of Supporting Cast:
- Demolition Man (The Yellow DD costume that looks like Wolvie)
- Stingray
- Pip the Troll
- Forge
- Vengance
- Jack of Hearts
- Ka Zar
Wow. That's setting yourself up for disappointment. Stingray? Demo-man? And Vengeance is too much like GR to be in it.
I would think Supporting would still be fairly higher profile. Keep in mind, it's "Supporting" not "Obscurity."
I was thinking outside the box with this selection. Sure Stingray is a stretch but he'd make a cool minimate. Demo-Man I think is less of one considering he looks a lot like Wolvie, and for Vengeance you're right if Danny wins.
If you had a choice between another GR or Vengeance who would you be i favor for? Make mine Vengeance

I had the complete 96 Man United Team as well as some of the Away kits. I too had a lot of other teams as well. Living in the states my friends thought they were a little weird. Now I have them in little zip lock bags in my attic (wife's instructions). Still looking for a couple out there like
Matt Le Tessier
Jaap Stam
Henry
Junihio
Ravineli
Stuart Pearce
David Ginola
Vinnie Jones
Did the company that made these go out of business.
Also if anybody is looking for a good home for theirs let me know. You can send them to a lovely retirement home in Alabama.
-
Did anyone here collect the soccer/football collectables called Pro-Stars by Corinthian. I had a lot of guys from the late 90's didn't know if anybody here collected these guys either.
-
The only two I have used are the Destroyer and Gen. Ross.
