  1. Classic Cable. His suspenders only show up on his chest, and nowhere else. His TO arm could use some detailing(reuse the one from Retro X-Force Cable hinthint), he could get a suspender chestpiece like Cyclops, and then a new hairpiece and a belt with more pouches.

  2. Once a week I watch Naruto Shippuuden and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and they're pretty good. Naruto has been really improving and FMA:B follows the manga more closely than first series. I've also been watching the second season of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, and it's getting really irritating because they're stuck in a time loop.

  3. I remember the original Iceman review mentioning that it's a bad thing Bobby doesn't come with back muscles, but the recently released ones, Silver Age and X Factor do not as well. Would this be a mitigating factor to raise the original's scores (original clear, Frosted and blue) or is that still something to complain about? XD

  4. Hmmm, if they're going to make the full Excalibur team, I'm not sure if I want to sell my Nightcrawler. I recently decided to keep my blue Iceman because I think he's better than the ones that just came out XD And if they DO make a new Nightcrawler, will I feel the same way? On the other hand I like the new Rogue better so... Guess I'll take my chances.

And DBZ Minimates would be pretty interesting. You could use Tenshinhan (Tien in America) as an army builder when he multiplies himself XD The license could benefit from the battle auras, energy blasts and the hair, considering we need spiky hair for other anime customs. And if they make a scouter attachment:

Cyclops: Cable, what does the scouter say about Apocalypse's power level?

    Cable: IT'S OVER NINE THOUSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND

    Cyclops: What?!? 9000?!?

  5. Honestly, TRU kind of ruined the hobby for me. Not once have I walked in and found an exclusive Marvel set. The only good that has come out of TRU is Ghostbusters, BSG and T2, because there weren't any shortpacked sets. I'll never beat the scalpers because they do this for a living, and I'd have to wait in line every morning before they open which is not an option.

At least there's no shortage of Secret Wars box sets.

  6. Thinking about this logically , the decision to change the variant at a late stage may have affected the production run of each figure. There should be 3 times as many non-variants as variants & when the decision to change was made ( August 2009??) perhaps a further decision was made to 'up' the Silver Age item. My pure speculation is that although we are stuck with the F*ckup for now .......further Silver Age Angels will exist somewhere & something will appear in due course......keep your sales receipts ;)

On the other hand :( .........only 2000 sets of the AFX First Appearance X-men are being produced . These AFX #1 X-Men sets are missing the FA Angel figure & anybody buying it will be hunting for Silver Age Angel from Wave 31 . Wave 31 will probably accommodate 2000 Silver Age Angels .....the perfect amount to placate the buyers of the box set.

I base my conjecture on 2000 variant sets being produced in many Marvel Waves & to be honest how many fans would buy the specific Silver Age Angel just for itself without wanting the AFX set.

In real terms the main people who are going to suffer are the retailers who are supplied 'non-gods' who will not be able to supply their loyal customers............AND of course those loyal customers.

Personal message from a loyal fan :

    Dear DST,

Mistakes happen ,we all know that ,but this is not a time to remain silent .

    bhm

What about the symbol with six legs on Venom as Spider-Man? Or the back boobs on Spider-Girl?

  7. I think the scalpers might have a retail license or they are tax exempt, and then they also build up points at TRU to get gift cards... I'm guessing they HAVE to be in the know, to know if something "exclusive" is really exclusive, and had as was mentioned before, if they know how many were produced. I'm sure they go to cons for the REALLY limited stuff, especially San Diego Comic Con. They might even sell passes for all we know.

  8. Although everyone hates the DeLorean, at least it's a step in the right direction. Now here's hoping for a hoverchair, MODOK, SHIELD Helicarrier and X-Jet :D

I just tried to image how a SHIELD Helicarrier "in perfect scale for two Minimate passengers" would look like... :ermm:

I would hope it would be two feet long and have space for at least ten minimates, kinda like those portable Playmobil playsets. You could pull off the top to see Nick Fury in his chair etc. If not that then maybe SHS will make one XD

I honestly didn't think the BSG Flyers sold well enough to justify an entire line of vehicles. The evidence at the TRUs near me certainly speaks to the contrary. Anyway, I like the jets. I might grab the others depending on what mates come with them. Might these come with the Security Guard and Battle Beast mate if DST decides to scrap the playset?

Hmmm, there's a lot of them at my local TRU.

  9. A good example is the Wolverine Origins series. While the first go at TRU wasn't exactly phenomenal, the second go has pretty much clogged the shelves just about everywhere

Really? Because except for when I bought them, I haven't seen Weapon XI or Gambit anywhere...

That's because those aren't resissues, the original wave 26 is. WO wave 2 is Marvel wave 26 plus the new WO packs, so five packs total. I always see those packs except for the TRU exclusives clogging up the shelves.

The reissue wave wouldn't be full of commons, it would have all of the hard to find one and two per case packs, in other words the true TRU exclusives. But DST has said that by wave 5 they will have stopped with the one per case packs.
