  1. I think that it really depends on each specific minimate. There are some that would be good for you to sell individually, and others in pairs or sets. For instance, I think it would be a good idea to pair Star Sapphire with the Green Lantern since SS is undesireable.

  2. - Juggernaut (redo)/Rogue (modern)

    - Colossus (redo)/Toad

    - Wolverine (brown costume)/Hand Ninja

    - Variant Wolverine (Weapon X - bucket helmet, wires, etc)/Hand Ninja

    come on DST look at this line up....TWO wolverines in ONE wave. You know you want to create this line up.

    I'd be okay with this wave if you replaced Rogue with Sinister or Nightcrawler, since we just got a Rogue.

  3. You can also preorder her on yokatta, but you have to pay upfront. I'm not sure if I'll be able to preorder her since I have so much stuff I preordered coming out in July.

    Disappearance Haruhi is up for preorder!

    She comes with a bench and other things lol.

  4. I don't enjoy the hunt. Is it my fault that I live 30 miles away from the nearest TRU? I have to wake up insanely early in the morning to catch the bus, then I have to take another bus to get to TRU. Then I have to wait all day for the bus to go back to Mount Vernon (for some reason it only operates in the early morning and the late afternoon). It's not cheap either, it's $2 each way. If I don't end up finding the Minimates I want, then that's time and money wasted. On average, I would be better off paying $30 to a scalper on eBay. I'd actually jump at an auction like this:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/HULK-BUSTER-IRON-MAN-G...=item2eae0d5f61

    I enjoy collecting Minimates because they're affordable ($7-8 for two), but if I have to spend way more than that then it's not very enjoyable. TRU has ruined it for me. I wouldn't mind paying a little more than retail though, if it's being shipped to me, and it would be nice if these and all of the other exclusives appeared on TRU.com like they did with wave 6. Unfortunately that wave doesn't interest me.

    International members are hurt even more by TRU, because their stores don't even carry the exclusives.

  5. I had to pay $50US for the series 1 set and it came with a defective Terror dog. As for the series 2 set I must have bought the last one from Luke's Toy Store cause they disappeared a day or 2 after.

    What parts specifically are defective? You can get one from TRU so it's really not that big of a deal.

    Sorry guys, I haven't kept up to date with this thread, and I read back to the May announcements on the blog; has the Statue of Liberty minimate been released yet?

  6. So the Street Fighter ones are Joe sized? I thought these were all 5 inches are so. . .

    Yes, I'm curious about this too. Can anyone take any pics?

    No, but I do know they're pretty small

    The only Revoltech I have is a Fraulein Yoko (anime version), and I love her to death. I want to get a Vash the Stampede and Professor Layton.

  7. I watched the second Negima series, and my head still hurts. It's like someone chopped the manga up into a fine powder, snorted it, and this is the drug-fueled outcome.

    Yeah, most harem series are like that. Love Hina is good though, I would recommend reading the manga but not the anime. The anime just goes nowhere and doesn't cover the whole series.

    I just finished reading JoJo's Bizarre Adventure (all six parts, Phantom Blood, Battle Tendency, Stardust Crusaders, Diamond is Unbreakable, Golden Wind, Stone Ocean). I should start reading Steel Ball Run which was at first a separate series but then Araki told us that it was part of the JoJo universe but an alternate reality.

    I hope Prunus Girl gets published in the US soon, it's really funny. It's about this cute girl claiming to be a boy that actually looks, and sounds like a girl trolling the school. Their gender is unconfirmed.

  8. Having never purchased a single Kubrick, are the hair-pieces removeable, and if so, are the compatible with 'mates?

    Hair pieces on most are removable, but some have the hair/hat sculpted on. Possible that old man magician (Dumbledork or something?) and fat guy have fully sculpted heads.

    But yeah, they aren't really compatible with Minimates (too big) so that's probably a moot point if you are looking to use them with Minimates.

    Oh come on, you must be trolling because you're so close XD It's Dumbledore.

    Forget about these, I'm more interested in the Spongebob Kubrick.

  9. I actually did make a Weapon X exactly like that, except mine has the shoulder straps right on top of the chest block, though I didn't send it to BHM. I took pieces from the Wolverine Origins 3 3/4" line to make a better Weapon X. Mattallica did the same though he painted the visor red, so I guess someone followed our formula.

    I recognize the Giant Man but I can't put my finger on who did it. I think Prof X was done by karamazov80.

  10. I like to look at Nintendo's handhelds as if they were portable versions of the home consoles:

    Gameboy Color=NES

    Gameboy Advance=SNES

    DS=almost N64

    3DS=Gamecube

    And since the Wii is basically a Gamecube with motion controls, I wouldn't be surprised if they added Wii titles. Gunpei Yokoi's mantra was always to let the developers work with hardware they were already familiar with, instead of figuring out what to do with the newest advances in technology. And I think this will make Nintendo more successful than other companies in producing quality games. Look what the Xbox and PSX have done to the gaming community, where many gamers only care about the graphics.

  11. ANTAGONIST: I can't think of one right now, I'll come back to this later. (My fault for not seeing too many movies these past couple of years that were new).

    PROTAGONIST: Sherlock Holmes. I love the character and Robert Downey Jr only makes him better. I'm studying to become a private investigator myself and I love detectives, deductive reasoning, and observation.
