  1. There's supposed to be a 6" C3P0 coming out in the next month or so, right? I haven't seen pictures, but I guess there was a shipping manifest leaked or something? Is that confirmed?

The list was of UPCs in a store's system but no, he's not supposed to be out soon. Hasn't even been announced, just the 3 3/4" figure. The next wave is Yoda, TIE Pilot, and Clone Sergeant.

  2. If anyone is interested in the Ms. Marvel 3-pack, start look looking; she's hitting as of last week. Found it over the weekend at a South Jersey Target, but had to give them the DCPI to have it pulled from the back. GREAT set, and it's so awesome to finally have a non-marionette Carol. Hope Phoenix gets the same update.

  3. Jaime is wonderful. Update: Barnes and Noble is sending me a replacement Jaime for the sword; i'll just swap swords and send the new one back, I'm happy with my Jaime.

These are in stores now, too. All but Brienne for some reason. Picked up Khal Drogo yesterday and he's phenomenal too. Sculpt and paint are dead on. Thigh was stuck but fairly easy to pry loose. LOVE the accessories, but they're ridiculously sharp. Not sure how they passed a safety standard, honestly. I have two slight issues. The first is his harness-thing that sits a bit too high; i wish it was lower to cover the hips a bit. The second is his height; he's shorter than Jaime! Maybe it's because we always see him next to Dany but he's supposed to be a pretty big guy, and he's just a bit short.

Great figure all the same though. He poses terrifically and looks great with season 1 Dany.

  4. Jaime and Robb just arrived from Barnes and Noble!

Good news: Every issue we had with Wave 1 has been corrected. ZERO clear brittle joints. Fantastic paint applications. Jaime is immaculate and looks exactly like the prototype. Robb a little less (watch for the beard) but is still really sharp.

Now, be careful. I did have a few stuck joints from paint. I was trying to free Robb's knee and (stupid me) i put pressure on his sword holster with popped off. Very easy to reglue and it looks just as new, though. Jaime's neck is a little tight which concerns me but he actually has some very free joints, not *too* loose, but not anywhere near as tight as the rest of the line. His cape is fantastic, too; Robb's is heavy and more solid, but Jaime's is flowy and very light. Only problem I have with him is that his sword doesn't seem to want to fit in his holster (I'm not going to force it), and it's the same sword as Robb's. I know Oathkeeper wouldn't make sense with this Jaime but it would have been nice anyway.

As you can see, I'm ridiculously impressed with Jaime. He might be Figure of the Year for me. Really hope they reuse the headsculpt at some point for a leather-tunic Jaime, that's my favorite look. Robb is GREAT too, and he looks leagues better than Ned in paint alone, but Jaime is the star.

Definitely going for Khal Drogo and Brienne next, whenever she's available.

Wait...shit. The Proto of Jaime has a different sword, and the shape in the tray is different. Oh, I swear to God, if Funko screwed this up....

  5. I'm not thrilled with the face on the Winter Soldier Black Widow. Something looks...severely off. Manish. Glad I kept my Avengers one.

Forgot all about the 7B Doctor. Don't event want him for Matt, i want the free Peter head. At this point i've liked his "The Caretaker" and "Robots of Sherwood" costumes the best so they shouldn't be too hard to customize a decent 12th.

  6. Personally, I think so. The main problems that throw it off slightly are the neck, which is fairly thin for poseability's sake, and the "eyebrow" arch, which is less severe for the removeable feature and therefore less menacing. But overall I don't really notice it unless I compare to a movie still.

A lot of people have an issue with the red eyes, but I chalk that up to the Hoth Han blue vs. brown debate. The eyes were red in the movie.

  7. Managed to find a Vader and Proto Fett last weekend after three days of frantic calls and stalking stores. They know me by name now...I don't get most of the complaints about Vader. His skirt could be shorter and sure, he could use extra hands, but he's pretty damn fantastic. Love the removeable helmet. Proto Fett is even cooler, but i'll never use him as "Boba Fett;" he's just some rogue Mandalorian on my shelf.

Desperately want Jedi Luke. What a stellar looking figure.

  8. Finally found a decent Bespin Luke yesterday, but i keep coming back to the Scout Trooper. Such a great set.

Got word from a Walgreens down by my school that they're getting Prototype Boba Fett on the 13th, and offered to put the case aside for me and give me a call when they come, since the other Wave 5 figures should be in there; got a very nice young manager, she was beyond helpful. Really liking this whole "Walgreens does toys now" shtick.

  9. Picked up the X-men Legends wave the other day. They're...okay. Stryfe is a freaking incredible figure that i can't believe they even made. He's been a long time coming and he's pretty awesome. Scott is the Bucky body and is pretty sharp, but was put into the tray before the paint dried, so the lines on his back are pretty screwed up. Storm has two upper left arms, which is easy to hide but brings her down a bit. Love the cloth "cape" though, and the headsculpt is great. Magneto is better than pictures make him look, and it's much easier to adjust the cape to fit, but the head is a little weak. Hand is also severely warped and it looks like Erik has the worst arthritis i've ever seen. Didn't pick up Logan yet, but i might not.

Fairly middle of the road for Hasbro; if i didn't have coupons bringing them each to $15, i honestly might not have bothered. They're okay, but don't let their current rareness make you spend scalper prices.

  10. No worries, actually found a Speeder Bike today at my local Target. Fresh case. Love it to death; the visor is *slightly* warped but i wasn't paying attention to see if both were. Also, be careful with the small pistol. The trigger guard broke in seconds on mine (not sure it wasn't already broken).

Bike is beautiful though and the Scout is the best articulated Black figure yet; love the double-elbows, and he has boot cuts too. Great set; probably should have been $35 and not $40, but definitely worth picking up since it won't last to go on sale.

  11. We got them in at work over in Jersey...which i didn't find out until i rung up a customer buying all of our Yondu sets. dry.png I did grab the Star-lord and Drax sets though, and they're fantastic. Wish Star-lord had darker facial hair or at least eyebrows, but Ronan is fantastic.
