  1. Saw this last night, and I absolutely loved it.  There were a few minor nits (as there are with pretty much any movie), but I thought it really worked.  The whole cast was fantastic, but Cumberbatch and Ejiofor really stood out to me.  I also really loved the soundtrack, especially over the end credits.

  2. I finally finished this.  I really liked it, and it did a lot to turn my opinion of the Netflix stuff around after I was a little let down by Jessica Jones.  I felt this show did a much better job handling Colter as Luke.  He was very likable and relatable.  Music was great, all of the actors were great, and there were several comics references that had me giddy for what's coming in later shows.  I also liked that this show, while still sporting the "edge" of the last two, was a bit more upbeat and hopeful.

...which made the ending all the more shocking.  While I think it was an interesting turn, and I look forward to the potential Matt Murdock involvement that was hinted at, I must admit I was just the tiniest bit let down by the fact that Luke will now probably be locked up until Defenders.  I had sort of been hoping he might show up in Iron Fist, to cement the two of them as a team before the Defenders as a whole were formed.  Now it's sort of looking like Luke and DD will be meeting up first.

  3. It's gonna be hard to say on Kylo.  He was the one I was expecting to see hang around, but so far the only one to really do that has been the Rey figure.  I actually missed Kylo at the midnight opening.  That being said, I've actually been seeing just about every figure in the line more than once, and I got Kylo at my first stop Friday morning without any trouble.  As a whole, I don't think we're going to run into the same sort of drought of product like we did after the first Force Friday.

What did you get, Glantern, and are they awesome?!?!

I snagged 3 of the 5 Black Series figures, as well as the TRU ex Hover Tank Pilot, and then the smaller Jyn and K-2 and two of the three 2-packs from TRU's midnite opening.  I also hit up Target yesterday morning and grabbed the two Black Series figures I missed, as well as a Stormtrooper and one of the Imperial landing strip guys.  I'm loving pretty much all of them so far, but the two K-2s are probably my favorites.

  5. The Dr Strange Set is cool.  Definitely want movie Strange and Mordo, and I'm really happy that Enchantress is getting a re-release.  Also stoked to have a b-a-f I don't need to complete for once.

On another note, I finally found a (not swapped) Rogue today, which completes my Juggernaut.  I also found the Walgreens Punisher.  Loving both of them.  Jim Lee headband redesigns unite!

  6. Speaking of Kitty, I found her at a Walgreens:

Notice anything?  Yep, the Onslaught head was stolen and replaced with an Electro head.  I honestly just wanted Kitty and the Juggernaut piece (and I never completed Red Onslaught anyway), so I bought it, if nothing else to ensure that no one else ended up with the screwy figure.  However, this is the fourth instance of this I've seen in the last week, and it's starting to really kill my collecting spirit...

  7. BTAS Batman seems to have jumped the release schedule a fair bit. Picked him up with comics this past week. Ivy was also there, but I passed for the time being. I'll probably grab her later.

He's cool and all, but I do feel just a tinge of disappointment. He's got no swivels at his boots, which hits his posabilty pretty hard. The sculpt's pretty good, though, and he looks nice with the rest of the line.

  8. Well, Wanda may yet get a figure from Civil War, so there's that. And Nebula could get a slot in Guardians 2, provided Gillen returns. But, yeah, Pietro and Ronan are kinda out of luck.

I can understand Hasbro's dilemma in balancing comic and movie figures. Being totally honest, I probably wouldn't have been so quick to grab the whole Thanos wave had Hellcat and Batroc been left out, since they were my favorite figures from that set. I also wonder how much say retailers have in what goes into a series. The movie figures from the CA: TWS and ASM2 ML lines are the only ones I still see on a regular basis, and the fact that Thor, Widow, and Hawkeye got put in an online exclusive boxed set instead of getting slots at retail point to retailers only being interested in certain characters from movies.
