Too bad DST had not previously released a female vampire minimate. One could use that head and modify it with the bride of Frankenstein body and dress to make a few brides of Dracula (if one was army building the villager).

Nice Modifications guys!

These were the modifications used for making my Captain America.

First, I used a Captain America through the ages Reborn head, hoodpiece, gloves, and boots.

Second, I used a Captain America through the ages World War II armor, legs, and waist base.

Finally, I used a Marvel Heroes box set Captain America’s body and arms.

Yeah…yeah…I know the hoodpiece for my Captain America needs to be a darker shade of blue. If only I was good enough to customize my hoodpiece darker (or paint the armor lighter) I would, alas, this will have to do.

An easy and convenient upgrade for the Sub-Mariner (especially if one has a bunch of left over Mandarin’s lying around from army building).

The bottom half (base, legs, feet, and hands) are from the Sub-Mariner in the Invaders box set.

The body and arms are from the wave 36 Mandarin.

The bracelets are from the wave 29 Black Panther.

Finally, the head and hairpiece are from Namor in the Defenders box set.

I feel this gives the Sub-Mariner a more detailed and modern look that fits in better with the minimates being released today.

(Come to think of it, one could use the wave 36 Mandarin bodies for making a Kazar or Conan.)

Damn...I thought these were coming out in September? However, the link groundhog7s gave us, for the DST site, said series one was coming out in October.

One could also use the Swordmaster TRU exclusive gloves, if you have doubles of the figure, for your Swarm figures.

Also Lilgambit, you could use one of the many different Iron Man (Tony Stark) hairpieces or one of the Warpaths hairpieces, if you have doubles of him, for your hellion custom.

Do we really need all of these thors (never the less a re-hash Beta Ray Bill)? I was hoping for an enchantress & executioner. Hell, even a baron zemo instead of the Captain America. Why DST hardly makes villains is beyond me.

Too bad they cancelled the max line. I was hoping for a Giant-Man max & Watcher max.

The hair piece with bandana used for Gambit would be a perfect start for creating a Solid Snake (Metal Gear Solid) custom.

This had to happen sooner or later but, I have finally ran out of room on my entertainment center for my marvel minimates. Hence, I just bought this from IKEA (The Vallvik bookcase) to house some of them in. When I get it set up I'll post some pics.

Well, considering DST said there are “no current plans for comic-based Ghost Rider figures,” (maybe we will get one in a Marvel-Capcom wave?) I thought I would finally get around to modifying my Target wave E Ghost Rider.

Since I had a spare Champions Box Set Ghost Rider, I just swapped his head, flame hair, and belt w/ the Target wave E Ghost Rider.

(Funny, I had never noticed before that we got jipped the Ghost Rider chain belt that is shown on the Target wave E box)

My comic shop is not getting them in this week. So who knows, hopefully next week.

I had seen the TRU Thor minimate wave out today and picked up the exclusives. So for those of you who want them, they are out, SO LET THE HUNT BEGIN!

I'm the complete opposite. I want this wave to hit asap. It and the new classic Thor at the Disney store (when, cruel fate, when!??) are the things that have me excited until next year with the next sets of Universal Monsters.

My preferred setup for SHIELD agents would be to have them packed with Fury who has a variant of Dum Dum Dugan, then have them packed in another wave with Sharon Carter with a variant of Maria Hill.

I'll be disappointed if I don't have have minimates of Agent Caulson, Baron Zemo, Thunderstrike, and Beta Ray Bill a year from now.

Wolverine Brown Gaijin Costume:

I am sure a lot of you have already done this, but I figured I should post my modification for the ones that had not thought of it.

TRU Dark Avengers #1 Box Set Daken, with a Wave 8 Gaijin Wolverine II left and right arm, and a Wave 29 X-Force Wolverine head (I already had a bunch of head doubles due to collecting the Hydra Army builders).

Classic Punisher:

My Summer Con Exclusive Punisher was looking bare, so I thought I would add the Holster and knife leg strap from my Wave 9 Assault Punisher to spice things up.

When i use Moon Knight's cape with Emma i use Ultimate Thor's hairpiece. I'd rather use long hair, but the cape inhibits that.

On a side note does anyone know if there is any minimate with blue duck feet (for my Giant Man)?
