How is She-Hulk the shortest figure in her wave? She at least needs boots on her in order to make her look proportionate.

When I looked at Basilisk's head from the Age of X box set (with the mask removed), I thought of a quick Johnny Storm modification.

Basically, Basilisk's head with any spare blonde Captain America hairpiece (I have too many to choose from) and a spare Mr. Fantastic body from the TRU series.

I also got the Dormammu and Phoenix two packs today. However, I thought the paint jobs on the Dante and Iron Man minimates seemed slightly different then the TRU wave (who knows, I was half asleep). Did anyone else notice this?

In what way?

The Iron Man figure seemed to have a better overall paint job then the TRU version and the armor does not seem to be so…umm….shiny? While Dante’s paint job seemed to also be over all better as well and had a slightly darker shade of red to his jacket.

I found all of wave 12 (Civil War Cap/Arnim, Armored Thor/Beta Ray Bill, 1st app Thor/Balder and Cap/Crossbones) at the Toy R US at 249 and FM 1960 in Houston. I was there around 1:00pm and they loads of 'em.

I still can't find the Galactus Box Set. I'm not even sure if it's still out. I might have to run to ebay on this one but I was hoping to save on the shipping.

Thanks for the heads up Jason. I went the other night, after I read your post and got the last Crossbones & Balder sets at Willowbrook! Once my Heralds set is delivered from TRU (in route now), I will finally be caught up on my Marvel minimates just in time for Dormammu's arrival on the 28th.

Is it the 28th yet? I need my Dormammu fix!!!

I've checked the Houston Bay Brook and Fairmont TRU's 6 or 7 times in the last few weeks with no signs of this set or wave 12. Hope to check the Katy store this weekend. The Bay Brook store has so many packs from older waves that I'm not sure they'll be restocking any time soon.

Katy mill's mall store did not have anything as of last weekend, same for westheimer, bunkerhill, and willowbrook.

I was thinking of going to baybrook and fairmont tomorrow when I return my library books to UH, but I guess I will wait till next week, since your saying they haven't got them in yet (no point in wasting gass). Thanks for the heads ups!

I was at Bay Brook on Monday and Farimont yesterday. May try Farimont again tommorrow. I'll let you know if I happen to find them there or in Katy.

Still no luck in Houston at Fairmont TRU (on Friday) or Katy TRU (on Saturday).

Curious....did Fairmont have the new ToysRUs wave in (wave 12 I think w/ Balder & Crossbones)?

I wish...I keep thinking they will get them in any day because they're actually pretty low on minimate inventory overall. Baybrook is flooded with old peg warmers so I don't have much hope for them stocking anything new for a while. I'll let you know when/if they turn up at either place.

Found Marvel TRU wave 12 at willowbrook however, the chase figures were already gone. So hopefully the other stores will get them in soon. When Captain America through the ages came out only around half of the Houston TRU got them in (same for the Secret Wars Box Set, if I recall). Hence, I hope I do not have to drive all over the place to find the Herald of Galactus set.

I visited my local Toys R Us and found more than twenty of these sets. I'm thinking of picking up another one.

It would be my luck that these are now sold out on the on-line TRU site considering, I still have not found these at any of the Houston TRU. Hopefully they get them in this Wednesday before the shopping madness commences next weekend.

In Houston, I would have to say the biggest seller is the Dante-Deadpool, followed closely by Hulk-Haggar.

On a side note, I would also love a Kratos!

Which store?! All I've found so far is an over abundance of Hulk/Haggar and Magneto/Zero, followed closely by a ton of Deadpool/Dante. I can't find a IM/Arther to save my life.

Then again, it's not like I'm buying them. I'm broke.

Been to Willowbrook, Katy Mills, Bunker Hill, Fairmont, and Baybrook. The only ones I have not been to lately are Westheimer, Spanish Trail, and Baytown.

Has anyone seen these out in stores yet?

I thought the Hulk in this series was a darker shade of green than the previous mega Hulk and now I can say my assumptions were correct.

Maybe brighter is a better word. To me the MvC3 Hulk looked lighter and more vibrant, but I'll be the first to admit that I could be wrong. It could just have been the box art throwing me off.

I thought I might have looked at it wrong after I saw your quote Turtle, but I had my wife look at it and she said the Marvel vs. Capcom mate is definitely a darker shade of green. I will post a comparison picture when I get a chance to do so.

(The only other difference I noticed was that this Hulk's mouth is open)

Good call fwoosheyman, I also switched my head/ mask after I posted the picture last night (only I used a different Logan head). I think it is a pretty good Wolverine mate after the change-up.

I was hoping for one with Jubilee, so I could use the face for a bride of Dracula.

It is pretty cool that the spider-sense Spidey has webbing under his arm-pits. I am surprised it took so long for them to make them.

The Hulk looks like it might be a slightly darker shade of green than the series 41 mate. I guess we will not know though until they are released.
