    Another reason that an FF update is needed. The original Mr. Fantastic came with black gloves and blue boots. I never really did like that look. Sue came with black boots and lab coat Reed came with black boots, but not the original one. And because the first Reed had bue plastic and the second had blue paint apps, swapping parts was never an option. It's about time the FF got a little overhaul / update.

    Don't forget the blue belt for Reed & the Black belt on Sue's body. If your curious, I already mentioned this in more detail on the other thread. (The link is on my previous post above)

    You know, I really do not think the FF needs an update. Sure, they could use more villains. Who couldn't? But they aren't even remotely out of date and work just fine. What are you going to do, give them slightly new tampos? between the ones in the wave and the SDCC set, I think they're covered fairly well and are up do date. It's not like we're dealing with wave 3 here, people.

    I respect your opinion, but I am inclined to disagree with your point. My reasons are stated on this page.

    P.S. I do agree that more FF Villains should be made.

    I am surprised I did not start this thread in the first place, since I am a big FF fan myself and have pleaded in other threads for a re-make. I feel that a re-make for the Fantastic Four is a no brainer. Let me explain:

    1. If anything just to make them more compatible with the articulated more modern looking minimates that are being produced today.

    Although wave 8 was the first series to have C3 feet, for the most part, minimates from that time period look dated by today’s standard of minimates. They have a simplistic cartoony feel to them, and there is nothing wrong with that, but they don’t mesh well with modern minimates. (IMO)

    2. They also need a re-make so they can be done correctly this time.

    Do not get me wrong, I liked the Wave 8 FF line and the Exclusive FF set, but some of those figures had evident mistakes.

    Wave 8

    Mr. Fantastic – Unlike the cover on the box suggests the color of his boots, belt, and collar is not black as they should be. Instead they are a dark blue, which is the wrong color. (I had to switch the base and body of my Exclusive Reed Richard’s just to get it right)

    Susan Richards – Her mistake is easy to recognize. The black belt is not on the base piece, but colored onto her body?

    Exclusive Set

    All of the figures have no peg holes on their heads making it hard to update some of the dated hairstyles on the figures. Most notably Susan Richards and her 50’s hairdo, and if you wanted to attach the flame hair of the Wave 8 Torch to Johnny Storm, forget about it.

    I personally have had to mishmash different combinations of the FF just to make them look more natural compared to the other modern minimates. Hence, I feel a FF re-make is way overdue!

    Well, as the guy who's feels like he's been campaigning for Klaw since the ballot for voting on the SW set was announced, I am Thrilled to see someone at AA/DST agreed he'd make a great mate. Okay, maybe grumbling and borderline whining are better word choices there, but you get the idea. There is now officially hope for the long roster of non-Spidey jobber villains to see minimate form.

    And a beat up Reed. Left field choice, but maybe they are going to do some kind of Planet Hulk/WW Hulk boxed set this spring to coincide with the release of the Planet Hulk animated DVD.

    Thor/Loki are a good choice for a TRU release, certainly better than Menace/Anti-Venom.

    The beatdown Wolvie/Cap is another surprise. I wonder if this is a straight pull from wave 36, or maybe, like XF Wolverine and the Guardsman, a recombo pack. <bad german accent> Veeery Interestink!</bad german accent>

    But really, the point is... we're getting Klaw!!!!!!!!!! :lol:

    Now please, please, please, please, please, please, please, pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease put these one the TRU website!!!!

    My first thought when I did not see a TRU exclusive sticker was that the Battle Damaged Wolverine/ Captain America was going to be in Wave 36. (Hopefully based around a Fantastic Four re-do w/ Moleman & Moloid Army Builders/ fingers crossed)

    Does anyone know, or notice a difference with the Black Bolt from the TRU wave, and the one from Series 31? Just wondering.

    I have the TRU and regular wave black bolt and didn't notice a difference between the two. No difference between the two Captain Marvel's, Iron Man, or Titanium man either.

    The Fantastic Four need a bit of love IMO & it's been a long time since they've had a revamp.....which brings me on nicely to Morbius & perhaps Man-Wolf . The in-thing (again -_- ) at the moment are vampires & werewolves & this fad has probably not been missed on the marketing radar.

    Silver Age Angel is going to happen 'somewhere' as is Deadpool ,neither is restricted by being a variant character either.......expect these sooner rather than later.

    Miry mentions 'civilians' ......these don't sell I'm afraid. There may be a couple of exceptions although I can't think of any ......................" Previously on '24' " . A range of swappable heads/hairpieces might work in a box-set but even that I find unlikely.

    TRU Doctor Who 'mates?......

    I am also ready for a Fantastic Four revamp, although they should probably be redone in an upcoming wave allowing for a Moleman with moloid army builders!

    I regret posting all my rants before about Angel-gate.

    I just don't feel as pissed off anymore... i didn't get what I thought i had ordered, but I'm sure the guys at DST are thinking the same thing!?

    Let's hope they can find away to get more F.A Angels out.

    Yeah, don't sweat it Pete, at least you got it off your chest. I used to collect DC Direct till they dropped their minimate line, then I dropped them! So I give DST some slack since they put out great product and are still going strong with 35 waves of marvel minimates (& counting).

    On a side note, I got my e-mail from AFX saying they sent my minimates today, so I guess the screw up did not hurt them too bad.

    By the way, what's up Jason4444, still chill out at Black Jack's?

    Since I got my camera out to take pics of the series 5 TRU series, I figured I'd post my mega pics.

    hmmm...I guess they are a little blurry...oh well...(sorry my right hand is in traction right now and it is hard to keep my arm steady)

    I got the Dr. Octopus and X2 Green Goblin sets. I'll probably pick up the Sandman set for X-mas so I can complete the left side of the building (the three sets combine).

    Still I am stoked about these sets (I got two of the goblin sets so I could have two gliders-one for my Green Goblin & one for the Hobgoblin)

    Thanks again for letting me know about the compatabilty of these sets with minimates arnim zola!

    The Iron Man & Black Bolt look terrific! The Titanium Man looks good (more villains please!) The Captian Marvel looks good except he looks like he has been holding his breath (it has a slight tint of blue to it?)

    I only wish they would have put in an army builder, but overall a great TRU wave 5 set.
