  1. The chopstick hand looks... awkward. Like it's a Minimate hand holding another Minimate hand holding chopsticks. ohmy.png

I guess that's exactly what you see: he's holding the chop-stick-hand in his hand. But since the chop-stick-hand looks cool, I'm all good. smile.png

Yeah, the couch and accessories are what sold me on the set

Exactly! I think the whole series is about what "normal people" think how "nerd people" are and that's rather dull. I watched a few episodes, but I think it's rather boring and not very original. But that's just me. BUT: I will definitly buy this set for the amazing amount of cool accessories!
  2. Oh Boy...Here We Go.

    8) Is there currently more than one Venom in the Marvel Universe right now? I know Gargan was Venom for a while.

Currently, I believe Flash Thompson is in control of the symbiote. He is called Agent Venom.

Since you also missed a lot of MMMV continuity, let me point out that "Flash Thompson Venom's" real name is "Lee Burns Venom".

To keep up on this part of the MMMV storyline, I suggest reading these posts:

"to go full Lee Burns on something"

Disney finally shut up Lee Burns!

Lee Burns? I don't get it.

Would the real Lee Burns please stand up?

  3. Happy birthday to one of the best Minimate Store Co-Owners in all of Framington Minnesota the States World Multiverse!

(Now the guys will start posting pics of - if your lucky - cakes... I've seen that google is also offering more embarrassing possibilities to post... Be warned! biggrin.png )

And of cause, happy birthday to you, too, Spookyboots!

I hope both of you have a great one!

  4. I've gone for the latter of course but I will strive to be more lucid with why I'm slightly disappointed with this particular set.

(blablabla rant, rant, rant wink.png )

My gripes however are manifold as my reader may have noticed. Shall I start again ? No not yet ,I'm just going to let those

people who are interested in the source material to digest my lazy-link above & tell me whether you are spotting what this old, moaning, 59 year old is spotting *.

*Forget the jacket .....there is one accessory that is glaringly missing ....it makes me cross.wink.png

This is the gist of the matter (or as we over here say: "So this, then, was the kernel of the brute!")

  5. Thanks for the compliment on the customs, UK Collector!

I'm not a fan of Woods' style, but really like the idea of relatively high end 1/12 scale figures. Those seem to be scaled down versions of the Hot Toys Truetype body (pretty sure their 1/6 scale bodies are Truetype knock-offs, as well). I was a bit interested in some of the 3Zero stuff, though, which is an affiliated company:

I guess, you're right about the bodies. Wood's style is something that I really enjoy. It's very dirty, very over-the-top stylish (in a Tarantino sense of "style") and I prefer the more comic and less realistic design of the characters features (head scultps etc.). I guess that's why I don't like the 3Zero stuff (like TWD) that much.

I absolutely love this stuff & do my very best to ignore it [for financial reasons] as if it doesn't exist,,,,thanks Bob .

You're very welcome! (I did resist buying any 1/6 scale figure for over a year. Than a figure on ebay was that darn cheap that I just couldn't let it pass. I was watching the auction for the whole 9 days and nobody bit on that bloody thing. So I got it. And screw me and my wallet, 1/6 scale is just fantastic!

ive been a huge 3a collector for about 4 years so far. it gets so expensive so i don't really collect anymore since its mostly re makes but some stuff you just gotta have!

I know that you're also a member in the threea forums, Rocco.

You guys dig their Iron Man?

(deleted picture of incredibly cool Iron Man figures)

I really like that design! Wood's take on robots is absolutely my cup of tea and that IM armor is no exeption. But I did pass, because I don't wanted to spend that much money on a incredibly cool designed, very well articulated figure with light-up-repulsor-gloves...

I'm not sure how human-like caharcters like Spidey ond Logan will turn out, though.
