my TRU has 4 pegs almost completely full of UM1, all the B&W are gone though. i can't believe they got that many of this wave yet never restock the Marvel waves beyond the initial shipment.

Something to take into consideration is what CBS still owns the Licensing rights too. I keep seeing Star Trek mentioned however that license belongs to Paramount.

CBS and Paramount are part of a conglomerate so Star Trek should still be on the table.

hmm, I ordered mine from BBTS on Aug 25 and they haven't made it into my POL yet either. I don't minf the wait, I just hope they actually get enough stock to fill the order. Although, I will say that they have always come through in the past.

I'm hopeful they can get the Dracula and maybe a surprise Invisible Man set out in May. Then they can have Frankenstein and the Mummy out for Halloween. They should spit up the 'heavy hitters' to give the property better longevity, just not a whole year in between.

Has there been any word yet on TRU sets?

I am liking these a lot, but am I the only one who wants a de-iced Bobby Drake? I'm hoping thats what they put in the expected Beast pack. But I would like to see other character versions from this comic, like Wanda and Pietro and we need any version of Toad and Blob.

As much as I would LOVE if it was Star Wars, I can't see it happening as long as Lego is around.

Another I'd wish for would be Doctor Who, but I doubt that's it either.

My choice and hope would be a return of Star Trek minimates. There is still so much that could be done, including the Shuttlecraft. It would be a great license to expand into playsets as well, with a bridge for each crew as well as transporter rooms, sick bays, even environments like the Guardian of Forever or Vulcan arena from Amok Time.

Toys R Us wants exclusive lines and this could be a great one for them. They've gotten rid of the movie merchandise and the next movie is a couple years away (2012). Now is the time to resurrect Star Trek Minimates!

I wouldn't worry. I predict we will see TNG Minimates in 2013.

2012 is the 25th Anniversary of The Next Generation debute. The nostalgia factor will bring these back. Mark my words.

the next Star Trek movie is also due out in 2012, so hopefully that'll help get some new mates out. maybe even some based on the new flicks. and if the vehicles do well, maybe we can get the shuttlecraft and, if i'm allowed to dream, a bridge and transporter room playset! heck, i'd even go for a sickbay set!

i really hope so, Star Trek was what got me into Minimates in the first place. it was the only line i was gonna collect, but we all know how that goes!

Does the scuba mask fit on over the hairpiece on Dr. Reed or does it come attached to it? Already planning on making myself a Mark Williams minimate.

the mask is part of a separate hairpiece. the reg hairpiece is actually in the photo of the broken b&w creature, meant to put it in the shot w/ the figure. i like the way they did the face inside the mask, it looks distorted a little like it would look under water. it really looks good in person.

be careful with the b&w mates, they seem a little brittle, felt like dried paint cracking when it broke.

i think they did an amazing job on these. can't wait for next years offerings.

just found wave 7 & iron man 2 wave 2 today. glad i can stop hunting these, but the 2 hb/gh sets they had seemed to have a tampo issue on the gamma hulk. there is almost no detail to him at all. in fact the one i bought was even assembled backwards because of it. its pretty much just a clear green mate. the head, chestpiece, legs, everything..not the worst thing in the world but kinda strange. has anyone else found one of these?

oh, and hulkbuster is awesome!

another set of BTTF 2 minimates appeared on ebay this week, and this time I won! final cost plus s&h is $30.95 (a little more then what I wanted to pay, but at least I dont have to hunt for them anymore)

Congrats on the score..$31 isn't all that bad. i paid $15 - $17 for each set at release, so double that including shipping...i'd do it. enjoy 'em, they're very cool mates.

I believe you are correct about the connection between Toywiz and Wizard/Toyfare. I think I remember reading that the owners are brothers, and that Toyfare was accused of exagerating their price guide to Toywiz' benefit.

well, i guess i got screwed by TRU.com. i received my Athena/Centurion in the mail Saturday (as usual jammed into my mailbox and crushed) but on the invoice it states that the Ellen/Simon pack was included with the shipment. which it wasn't. that line was circled on the invoice as well, which is what most warehouses do when they can't find something. i checked the website and sure enough it says that the Ellen/Simon pack was delivered! so i called customer service and explained the situation. and was told i could re-order the item and i would get 10% off and upgraded shipping. when i told them that the item is out of stock so that doesn't really help me, and i was told that i would have to keep an eye on the item and when it comes back into stock to call them and they will apply the discount. which is total b.s. cause when it comes into stock they will go to back orders which mine will not be treated as.

I just got an order confirmation on Winston/Terror Dog alone, $9.69 shipping +$3.50 tax for one set is freaking crazy! It ends up being $20.18 for one set! The Pete & Slimer is backordered and the rest say located in stock.
