Oh, no. I like the differences. Your hairpieces are probably much more feasible and what they might really look like...and I wouldn't really call them chunky. They look great!
Anyhow, glad you're having fun. I got badly addicted to doing these, last year.

Good likeness of Jeri Ryan.
Thanks, to be fair the borg implants and skin tight suit do half the job
Btw I came across some of your work on deviantart the other day.
I know, I designed hundreds of minimates and finally ran out of ideas. I usually refrained from putting the Marvel ones on deviantart... I just had too many. I haven't been on deviantart in a while. It gave my computer a virus despite my anti-virus programs! It upset me because I loved browsing that site, but now I'm scared of it.
I was looking in the differences in our approach to these and I really like the crispness of your lines (around the eyes and mouths for example). The subtle shading in yours impressed me too. Sometimes, I would do that and other times, not. It just depended on the character or my mood.

Ew. It looks like Thing and Geoffrey the Giraffe (the TRU mascot) fell in love and had Reed splice their genes so that they could have a love child. I guess this cements the marriage of TRU and Marvel Minimates.

@ Youbastards: If that guy moved in next door, you would keep your kids in the house.

Yeah, I just noticed the bloody blanket spilling over... or is it a dried tomato?

I think that is going to work out great!

I like the Lizard the best and oddly enough, not having a sculpted head doesn't bother me... probably for the same reason the Killer Croc minimate's head or Penguin's lack of a nose didn't bother me. This is the only must-have in the wave for me.
I was disappointed in Professor X not having a safari jacket.
Warpath was what I expected.
The Spider-man is a decent addition for Spidey fans, but I'd be more interested in a Spiral.
Doombot and Thing do not interest me at all.

I'm all for anything that makes me feel like my toy collecting is "not that bad"
Nice find though, what a crazy collection! I'd say the life-size movie Spidey, Spidey briefs, and Spidey troll doll are tied for creepiest...
I can relate to worrying if I've taken things "too far". I'm definitely not teasing the guy, but I often find it odd when someone focuses on one character so intensely. I have a friend who , like myself, is a huge Storm fan. However, he ONLY collects Storm. So when you go to his house it's a shrine to her and it always makes me self-conscious about my own collections . Naturally, I try to get every figure released of her, but if I displayed her without all of the other characters that I enjoy alongside her, it would creep me out. I never have enjoyed her solo mini-series. It's only Storm in relation to the other X-Men and how she interacts with the others that makes her my fave, which I'll admit has waned in recent years, as no one seems to know how to write her anymore.
Anyway, the guy has an awesome collection.

Oh, I was addressing minimadman, karamazov.
But as far as articulation...Well, I can't argue that point & I agree. It's one of the reasons you won't find many McFarlane toys or these at my house. I want an action figure, not a statue.
-
Yeah, I think they look great. Obviously, you weren't a fan of the game minimadman.

What is the Mera recipe?
Hair: Starfire
Head: Rachel Summers
Torso & Arms: Lady Loki

I didn't want to enter the contest (too many outstanding entries), but I loved the Amalgam idea!
Lightning Bug!
Pietro Kord discovered his mutant powers of speed upon reaching adolescence. He combined his love of archeology with his new abilities to become the fastest excavator in the world. One day, while digging in Wundagore, he found the mystical " Roma Scarab". Upon learning of the heroic exploits of it's previous owner, he became LIGHTNING BUG. He travels the world popping a cap in grave robbers everywhere!

We definitely need new versions of Cage and Iron Fist. The original released versions came out even before I started collecting minimates and were high-priced even then. These designs are different enough that the people who already have the 1st Power Man & Iron Fist set would still want these and I could finally get them.
-
Love the Alpha Flight group shot and can't wait to see if you do a Sasquatch.
I would have preferred an Enchantress like that to Lady Loki (since we had a regular Loki).
I love how you've tackled so many female characters. They all rock!

D@mn. I'm two for two:
I usually like retiring my customs in favor of the official releases. However, these are staying right where they are on my shelf.
I don't blame you. Your customs look 10 times better than the official releases.

YAY Bishop and Jubilee.
... so Profesor X completes this set then?
You're forgetting Forge
Actually I designed that Magneto a while back and he's the only fig I really care about:
I never liked Mullet-Bishop or Jubes, but I'm glad the fans are getting them. I know a lot of people wanted Jubilee particularly. Maybe you can reverse her head to be non-sunglasses. Oh, and Mini Myte's right. The painted bandana looks awful.
That Wolverine is one of the worst ones yet. A translucent one with a metal skeleton embedded in it would be awesome.
Don't know if I'll get this, but I think some people will be happy. I'll take Jim Lee over Rob Liefeld, anyday.

Unfortunately, the next couple of lines aren't really that important to me.
I'm getting Wrecker in the next wave, Mystique & Captain Britain after that, and only Yellowjacket in the one after that.
I'm not dissing the MU line's choices though. I know other people want Iron Spidey, Ghost Rider, Winter Soldier, Thanos and MJ Watson...
It's the same with Minimates.
I don't want Iron Man minimates or Liefeld minimates. I'm only looking forward to Betsy Braddock.
I'm still waiting for pics of Wave 37 to make up my mind on them.
-
Right. It's a matter of taste (more realistic or block), but minimates has a much wider selection of characters and a more uniform look. Also, minimates has all the different licenses, so you can put Batman, Hannibal Lechter, Marty McFly, Hulk and Madonna all together and they look cohesive. That's my favorite part.
-
Another winner. I like the choice of Mary Jane head as Heather. Very clean paint job!

As much as I would like to see a new Nightcrawler I think it's unlikely
due to the fact that he is currently dead.
I don't see that as being an issue.
I'm sure that he will be brought back to life in the time it would take for the next announced wave of Minimates to be released.
Also, that hasn't stopped an onslaught of Jeans.
Maybe one day we'll get that "Bamf!" stand.

I just made a Quick change Karma and put it in the customs section.

TRU Wave 7 Announced!
in Marvel Minimates

I hope so because all I want is Lockjaw and Betsy!
