    "HULK SMASH" leaps to mind.

Good Lord, I hope that doesn't happen to you again.

Yep.  Thanks, I am hoping that lightning struck once and now I am statistically immune to another, but I am still going to add acrylic sheets.

  2. This particular cabinet is only a couple of years old, but I have some that are 10+ years old.  The research I have done into this points to an imperfection in the glass when tempered.  It happens, but is not exactly common.  The scary thing is it can happen after two months or 20 years.  No warning.

I was EXTREMELY lucky. This particular shelf housed a vinyl Kotobukiya Batman 1/6th scale statue that weighs little.  It came down on my Hot Toys Christopher Reeve Superman and glass rained down on my SSC 1/6th Star Wars Droids.  I have some damage to the Superman suit, but nothing else.  My shop vac cleaned things up nicely.  Any other shelf in my cabinets and it would have been disastrous.  I am looking into replacing my shelves or at least adding to them, with 1/4 or 3/8 acrylic.

I sent an email to Ikea.  I may try the Twiiter thing. I shudder to imagine one of these shelves exploding...

  3. For those of you with Detolf cabinets, I just had a crazy experience.  I was sitting at my desk on the computer and a loud pop and cascading glass, scared the bejezuz out of me.  One of my glass shelves exploded.  No obvious reason why and the weight on the shelf was not much.  It had a Kotobukiya vinyl 1/6th scale Batman on it.

Just a warning that this happens...955a87ab-aeef-44ba-9dbd-7dbd0a9623d2_zps

  4. I was at one of the local malls Saturday and stopped into Hot Topic.  They had NO Minimates at all, but a ton of blind bag stuff.  The high school kid working there said they must have sold out of them.  I also stopped into a toy and game store in the same mall and they had a ton of TMNT and NBX blind bags.  They also had a bunch of TWD 2 packs.

    And you're even happier, right?

Mostly yes, some amount of no.  Its bittersweet.  My issue is not really monetary, its all about space and not being overwhelmed.  My office was starting to look like an episode of Hoarders.  Now I put a lot more emphasis on characters and lines instead of simply needing two of everything.  I still have trouble finding figures, just like everyone else, but I am not after every Minimate there is, either.  I put a lot of effort into my pre-production collection and use patience to find the figures I need from retail.  Bottom line, I am not going to buy a case of blind bags for one figure.

I would have loved to assemble the human team from the original Predator movie, but it seems like more trouble than it's worth at this point.  I have a guy that will sell me Billy for a great price, but getting the rest is going to be a headache...

I'm not one to give up on stuff like this as the hunt can be part of the fun, but I am already "fatigued" by this line.  I feel your pain.

It's not showing up in my Firefox browser either.

I can see it in several browsers, including FF.  I used a non mod/admin account to see if that was the issue and it wasn't.  I will check with IPS and see if this is a reported bug. Can you see the Insert other media dropdown?

  8. The image attachment function is now drag and drop or manual selection and the vehicle for it is at the bottom of the text window. Drag images into the grey box and they will upload or you can manually "choose files" OR you can insert code via "source" in the upper left corner.
