  1. Being in the Uk, I don't recognise any of the other hero characters gh7s mentioned. Of course, Vultureman and his ilk are a must. I really can't think past 2 waves or 2 additional box sets of these guys.

I think they're beautiful looking though, and delighted they are the classic designs. I loved the cartoon as a boy... my brother and I used to meet up with our cousins, as we had all the toys between us. They say never meet your heroes, and I think going back and watching programs from your childhood is a big no no as well... really hard to watch. You can't beat classic designs, but I'm glad the new cartoon has got some love on here, it is certainly well written and absorbing.

  2. Ha, good idea Rob. Incidently, my girlfriend shockly revealed to be last year that she had never owned any lego in her life. After digesting this rather horrifying news, I ended up buying her that very set for Christmas, as the minifigs really look like us.

Great set, real value for money... comes with a fish and frying pan too.

    Edit - Cheers Zombie Bill

  3. I did think Andrea and Tyrese were supposed to be in TrU wave 1... have I got that completely wrong? If so, could someone please refresh my memory for me.

2 heads for Andrea, perhaps? Would be nice. Either way, I'm impressed with how well the civilians are being, err, fleshed out. More zombies would be really nice though, perhaps a 4-pack every now and then... greedy, I know.

have to say, Dale's RV would be wonderful. Would be a higher price though, due to it's size, and probably go the same way as this MAX armoured car. I do hope that ST Enterprise does well, and shows an interest in larger vehicles.

  4. still think he'll 'acquire' the suit somehow, Kick Ass style... after all, it is basically a motorcross style suit. The bit with him stitching in the trailer is probably no more than sticking the spider on, or the web shooters.

... think I've done this exact same post a few months ago

  5. I do agree that these zombies are far more 'appropriate' in terms of actually fitting in with survivors, civilians, etc. and I certainly like the fact they're specific ones from the comic... a nice touch.

the MAX versions just happened to opitimise what originally sold me on minimates; bold, bright and a healthy blend of simplicity and unique parts. Every one had character and seemed to stand out. They were fun, basically.

I am very happy to be able to get WD minimates, but yeah, I too hope the MAX guys can follow on when we run out of raincoat or different hat variants.

  6. It is sad but true. I'm certainly getting most of the WD mates, but the zombies themselves are really underwhelming. Didn't think there would ever be minimate zombies I was in no hurry to get my hands on.

Those MAX ones really do need to raise from their respective graves. Lament.

  7. I do think these sets are the kind convention exclusives should be, as opposed to essential new sets and characters, etc. Most of these are 2-packs with very small variation on existing or upcoming mates, very take it or leave it for collectors, but great for advertising and bringing in new fans on the floor.

The spidey isn't for me as I've got w46, may well grab the Walking Dead set for the new zombie. That dragonfly is amusing, really ugly minimate!

X-Men look great, a must for me, even if its just for the wonderful new Emma. I do wonder how the cape is attached... I always assumed they'd have it hanging at the back, attached to a neck chocker piece.
