  1. Love the new Spider-Man strip, especially the jibs at Spider-Man 2099. I loved that comic, but I always thought that was a random name for a guy. Miguel O'Hara...seriously?

"Nobody likes the DCU!"

Actually that strip is almost 2 months old now but glad you enjoyed it. I loved Spidey 2099 a lot but never understood why they played down Miggy being Mexican and Irish. I know they did a lot of Mexican stories due to the big role his mom played int he book but the irish aspects were down played. Then again it was more important who his Dad was when it was revealed rather than his ethnicity.

I have an Irish last name and I married an Italian woman and I know Gissepi McDonald would sopund weird.

  2. Updated 8/17/10:

Spider-Man returns to Minimate Theatre and takes a stroll that leads him to things he'd rather not see.

As always feel free to leave comments and questions.

Ahhhhh i needed that today! :)

Glad you enjoyed. Spending hours on writing, photographing, photoshoping and posting is oworrth it to entertain someone and bring them some happiness.

  3. I mentioned this in the Friends and Foes thread. No one there seemed to care. Take off the chest piece, hold it in your hand, and put a hairdryer to it. Just for a minute or so, and not too too close. Put the chest piece on your finger and the arms should pop right in. Worked quite easily for me.

The blow dry worked like a charm. IT took a couple tries but they are in there and solid. Thank you so much for the suggestion. Now I just need to write a strip featuring Doc Ock now.

Sounds like a great plan, will try when I get home. Thanks buddy!

  5. Let's all hinder a guess which wave will be the final one. I'll say wave 50 (good round number) and it's done. BTW, Kang will still go unproductive. :(

Honestly the line will end when Disney says so. You never know perhaps the packs at the Disney Store will be such a hit that Disney will push more properties to DST and extend the marvel contract.

While I think eventually the line will end, I think it will only happen whenever Hasbro's contract is up. I could see Disney wanting the entire toy license under one roof. But I think we have years before worrying.

  6. Ok I've been silent because I thought I was the only one but has anyone else been unable to get Doc Ock's metal arms on the minimate that came in the deadly foes 4 packs? I loved the figure but can only get one arm to stay in. Should I contact DST or is there a quick fix I can do with a knife or something.

Thanks to anyone who can help.

  7. Honestly when it ends I'll be happy. I love Minimates more than anything, especially the Marvel ones but I have them all, and at some point it has to come to an end. I won't be sad but happy because as far as I'm concerned this is, was and always will be the greatest line of figures ever. It's a great ride and when it ends it ends.

  8. I was not aware how many fellow GI Joe fans are on here. I wanted to share another comic that is on my website from a fellow member of Hisstank.com.

CtrlZ's Snake's Tale is a four panel weekly comic and continues to grow in popularity and humor. It started a little rough but has really started to find it's pacing. (This is the same guy who wrote the x-force minimate review on my site they lots of you enjoyed).

So if you have the time today check out his strips and leave him some love. I really enjoyed his newest one today and want to help grow his fan base.

  9. I picked up a variant of that Devil's Due guy a couple weeks ago from TJ Maxx (can't remember his name--he's blue and translucent). I don't know why. I honestly have no use for the guy. If anyone here wants him loose, let me know.

I got that one at TJ Maxx too that is actually a variant and a great find at 3.99.

  10. 5) TJ Maxx and Ross are also carrying deeply discounted 25th and ROC vehicles.

    6) Big Lots is carrying comic 2 packs and individual figures.

Huge Joe Fan and verry active on Hisstank.com.

What 2 packs are at Big Lots?

I'm spending more time on Hisstank. The Joe bug bit me hard this past year with all the discounted 25th figures. I even joined the Collectors Club to buy the Adventure Team sets. I can't wait for Dail-Tone.

    At Big Lots I saw:

Individuals-RPG Cobra, Cobra Paratrooper, Cobra Flint, and Pilot Scarlett.

    2Packs-Destro/Shockblast, TunnelRat/StormShadow, Beachhead/Mainframe, Hardmaster/SnakeEyes...They were $10 each. TJMaxx had the same ones for $6.99.

You just made my day! I really need a Destro Shockwave. Will check it out on my way home.

BTW: Did the same as you, joined club for Dr Venom and can not wait for Dialtone.
