  1. Thanks everyone. It's nice to be finding some time for customs again.

I really enjoyed the Age of X and was excited when the minimates box set was released last year. However, I couldn't help but feel an opportunity was missed to produce some interesting character designs. I don't expect to get any more Age of X minimates (hopefully I'm wrong) so I started putting some pieces together to make some customs of the Age Of X designs.

Here are the first two members of the Force Warriors, a group of telekinetics who build shields to protect Fortress X every day. I have the other 3 (Revenant: Rachel Grey, Stand-Off: Unuscione and Hellion) at the work bench.

Legion was pretty simple, just decals for the legs and a little sculpt for the hair and belt strap. The wristband came from movie Juggernaut, I think.

The skirt piece on Psylocke took me many attempts to get right. It's made from random bits of minimate pieces and is held together with lots of glue! Hair comes from movie Sif, the scarf that telekinetically holds her knives was sculpted. She also has Aquaman feet to represent the blade on the backs of her boots.

I have plans to make quite a few more characters, hopefully. Thanks for looking!

  2. some outstanding customs, once again! I really like your combination of parts and sculpted pieces. And I really like those details, like Munk's feet. Very cool!

And how hard was it to put a decal on the werewolf head?

    Thanks!

To be honest the face decal on Arkkis was a lot easier than I thought it would be. I just printed the mask on white decal paper with a brown background, cut round the mask and touched up the edges with brown paint.

  3. Thanks for all the feedback!

Hey everyone. Been a while since I posted here, but here are some customs I have finished over the last week or so. The first two are for my own collection.

Black Widow is inspired by youbastard's custom.

Copycat didn't really have an official costume, but I had seen some pictures online of a blue body suit, so I thought I would go with that.

Next are some DC commissions I have been working on for a while. First, Indigo.

    Thanks for looking, as always.

  4. Hey....

Been trying to update my customs thread after a loooong absence. Trouble is, when I upload the picture file from my computer to the site the upload goes really slow. After it has uploaded, there is no thumbnail in my attachments for me to add to my post and no record of the file being uploaded.

    Help, anyone? Thanks!

  5. Apologies if this is the wrong thread also (while we are on the subject of the TRU wave with Havok), but is the hairpiece for Storm the same as the 90's Rogue? I think I can make out a sculpted hairband on the promo shots of Outback Storm. Do you know if this is the final hairpiece Zach? Thanks.

  6. Psylocke was Asian when I first started reading comics too, but after looking into her back-story I became really interested in the British "version" of the character. Probably something to do with her "britishness." Even though she was essentially the same character I felt she was written slightly differently depending on the body she was in....just my opinion. I feel in Uncanny X-Force Remender has managed to strike a balance and give some cohesion to the character for the first time in a long time. Sometimes I would like the British body back, but for me now it's more about how she is written than the body she is in.

Anyway....I can't wait to get Magma and Dani!

  7. Are you Photoshopping out the decal edges? Because I can't find them on Guy Gardner. Everything looks factory.

Thanks man. I have slowly got better at using Adobe and applying decals. I just mask the decal edges with paint. I wouldn't have a clue where to start with Photoshop, I'm not very computer-savvy!

  8. Loving your last two customs. Dazzler looks professionally done, and I love your Guy Gardner. I've been thinking about a Red Lantern Guy for a while - might have to borrow some of your ideas :) (if you don't mind, of course)

    Go ahead! :)

    Thanks for the comments.

I have just finished a commissioned set which are my first non-comics customs. I have been making some Hanna-Barbera cartoon customs. The first set is from the cartoon Josie and the Pussycats. I wasn't too familiar with the cartoon but here is a shot of the finished 6 characters. They have noses by request! I did try some face decals without noses but they didn't look quite right against the source material.

I will be making some more Hanna-Barbera commissions later this year.
