Rather than starting a new thread for each new game, I just thought I'd discuss the Summer games here, in the Summer Releases Thread! So far I've picked up 3 of my Summer Wanted list. I've already spoke about LEGO Indy a little bit in another thread, but I picked up 2 news games yesterday and thought I'd give some early impressions!

LEGO Indy (360)

-I've praised this game several times over, but I won't stop. It's great! It's so much fun to sit down and play. It's simple and not really difficult, you can't die for Pete's sake, but it's still a blast to play. I've heard arguments on both sides of the Star Wars vs Indy argument, but as it stands I think I'll have to side with Indy. I think the environments are really the kicker for me, I love the real world setting with booby traps!! I would still recommend this to anyone who loves action games and I've not even 50% done yet!...

Well I just saw Platoon, basically because of the minimates, and it sure was a good movie (still would prefer full metal jacket mates but oh well). I have to wonder how Johnny Depp made it into the set though, his character had such a small part it took me awhile to realize who he even was.

I have to wonder what it is DST has against minorities, when a Forest Whitaker, Keith David, or a Junior mate would have made way more sense. Why not a Vermucci, or hell even a Dr. Cox. There are so many characters more deserving of a slot in this set than the damn interpretor.

As far as the quality goes, I like them for the most part, I'm a little dissapointed with the Willam Defoe, but the Tom Berenger is just god awful, they should go back to the drawing board on that one.

I did the same thing the movie was ok especially the action scene near the end.Now all that we need is veitam soldiers.

For those of you who want to know:

-Harmonix made Guitar Hero 1 & 2 then sold the license to Activision

-Harmonix went on to create Rock Band... Activison went on to create nothing and cashed in on GH by making the 3rd one identical to the 2nd

-Harmonix announced Rock Band 2 will be out his fall with no new instruments but online World Tour, the ability the write songs and more.

-Activision announced Guitar Hero 4 will be released early next year and will have online coop and song writing.

This "the world wilol end in 2012" thing is crap, absolute crap. The mayan calender is ending, not the world. Plus you have to think they were doing this calender in lik 400 B.C.

Second gripe. Why did the monster I just mentioned who snuck up on Hud look so damn small compared to how he looked in the rest of the film? If it was the same size as previously shown it wouldn't even notice Hud. And even if it did, and ate him, there would be nothing left of that camera or Hud's corpse to come falling back to earth. Unless there's just more than one monster, which is quite possible, this scene wasn't congruous to the rest of the movie.

Well i remember Hud would zoom in a lot so maybe he did'nt zoom out

I got a case fresh Blue CQB, Orange Grunt and Red EVA yesterday. I passed on the Chief and Jackal as they are relatively easy to come by. Besides them, now all I need if the Red and Blue Mark VIs. And a Ghost. I need to find a Ghost for my Minimates.

I've seen the blue spartan at my lcs and it was 35.00!!
