  1. I'd love it if these things came out more frequently, like two or three times a year. That might not sound like much but when you consider specialty gets a different offering than TRU, it's a lot.

If they keep TRU and LCS assortments at the same time, at least twice a year sounds good. Once a year isn't enough and you might lose sales with the attention span of some people.

  2. I was hoping they'd have enough sell-through information by now to announce a second series.

Wasn't there a comment on their Facebook page about news of the next series at SDCC?

I'm not crazy about the future of figure packs being tied to the success of the Enterprise. Sales of the Enterprise should determine future ships.

I was happy when Hasbro announced they had the license for the new movie hoping for some quality 4" figures. I got no figures but Minimates came back. Totally unexpected. Now I'm worried that they're not going to last again and I'll have not gotten much further in filling in holes.

  3. Went to two different stores and found 12 packs at each.

    The first store had:

    4 x Kirk

    3 x Picard

    3 x Sisko

    2 x Janeway

    The second had:

    4 x Kirk

    4 x Janeway

    3 x Picard

    1 x Sisko

Out of the four Janeway/Seven sets only two had TRU stickers and the two that didn't had wonky faces on Seven (eyes and mouth too far apart, eyes or mouth off center). And like someone said earlier, there were a bunch of loose hands. Overall these look awesome and I hope for more.

  4. For everyone, I'm curious, do you prefer they get everyone released in the 2 main variation uniforms before getting to the unique variations like I listed above? I don't believe we should be forced to QC, but it's a great option to have available, and I love how they're using it in the Marvel line.

Yes, I want main characters in main uniforms before we get obscure variations. To me, it would be awful to see a slot wasted on Sherlock Data or cowboy Worf before a main crew member in their standard uniform. Whether it be specialty or TRU. If this line is able to go into a high number of waves, then throw in some episode specific variant of a character. But please don't do it before the big names are released.

  5. I think the best plans for this line is to aim to satisfy the quick-customizer community - maybe by highlighting the possibilities on a blog? There's just no way we're going to get every major variation of every crew member in Star Trek, so this seems the best route for better sales.

Absolutely. If they can only get out one of each of, say, Data, Geordi and Worf, I'd want TNG Worf, Generations Geordi and First Contact Data. Assuming Worf's sash or tire tread or whatever is a separate piece we can make versions of each character in each uniform.

If they were ever to make a season 1 Riker, you can then use the Riker body and another Geordi and Worf to make their season 1 versions and so on and so on.

  6. That's actually happened to me a few times with other Minimates lines. What happens (apparently) is a case will get scanned in coming off the truck, then put in inventory and not unpacked onto the floor for some reason. I've had to wait while a manager goes in back to figure out where the case got put away on these occasions, but it eventually gets located. When the missing number in stock is 12 – the number or sets in a case – this tends to be what has happened.

Which is not to say an employee isn't walking with a whole case in this instance.

At least you got someone to go in the back and look. They told me there was no way these were in the back. Even if they were, it would be like “finding a needle in a haystack” as their stock room is apparently like the warehouse in Raiders of the Lost Ark.
