  1. Hey guys. After a couple months, I'm back with some new figures today. I've got a new one in the Marvel section, and one in the Various figures section. They're both in this color here.

Hopefully I'll have some more by next weekend, but I'm sick and just don't feel like painting little stuff right now...

Feedback and comments are always appreciated.

  2. http://www.action-figure.com/events/main.php?g2_itemId=41853

I remember these from San Diego last year, but I cannot seem to find them anywhere. Yes, I realize that they are from The O.C., and it's cancelled now, but the little 14 year old girl in me won't rest until she has these...

Does anyone know of anywhere that I can get them? You'd think they'd show up somewhere, but I can't seem to find them on ebay, which really surprises me... Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  3. The newest Stormshadow (Which has the red pants) is actually an alright figure. He comes with a ton of weapons, and is the same body mold as the original (Which had white pants) but with the head from the Shirtless Stormshadow...

Snake-eyes is a little harder. The original is hands down the best representation... All in black (with a little dark grey), loaded with weapons, changeable visors... Just too cool of a figure. If you can't find one of those, I'd suggest the arctic version from the newest wave. He's a pretty cool figure, plus he comes with the awesome wolf.

Most places around here still have the original ninja figures hanging around. I think that they were heavier in the cases, and just never sold through... My Target had only those two figures right after Christmas.

    Good luck.

  4. Yes. It is now peggable, but from a design stand-point, the packaging makes a horrible mistake in that the picture is divided up on two different plains. If they had made the pics just on the front, before the kick back, you would be able to see both of the figures clearly. The way it is, it's harder to see the upper figure being that it's cut in two...

    Small little complaint. That's all.

  5. The logo is not really etched in there. It's a special vinyl that looks like etching. Much easier to do, and when I'm tired of these little guys, I can remove it and use the shelves for something else.

Of course the Bomb had a nice little home. A special home for such a special little guy...

Thanks for the comments guys. I'm pretty proud of the little display. My wife just sort of rolled her eyes...

I forgot that I still need to get the LOTR figures out of storage. I tend to always forget about those... I think that they should fit up above the closet...

And Deadpool, I tend to go through spurts where all I buy is anime. Currently, there's not really anything that sparks my interests, except for Negima and Ergo Proxy. I've thought pretty hard about selling most of those off... I'll probably never watch them again... The American stuff I'll keep 'cause it great stuff, but the anime is just kind of "Eh" to me right now...

  6. I've nearly gotten my MiniMate display finished, so:

    Ant1.jpg Here's the whole thing

Ant2.jpg These are the right side shelves

Ant3.jpg These are the left side shelves

    Ant4.jpg I've got something you don't have :)

    Ant5.jpg Be a Hero...

    Ant6.jpg I like cartoons... A little bit...

    Ant7.jpg Big Z

    Ant8.jpg Sideshow Buffy 12"ers

Ant9.jpg Entire Vault from the door

Ant10.jpg MiniMates again, Right side of display

Ant11.jpg MiniMates, Left side of dispaly

That's enough pics for now. Sorry some of them are sideways... I guess I should have taken the time to turn them.

I need to go back and patch some holes in that wall, but I was in a hurry to get the display done.

I had the shelves for the 'Mates made. They are all 3/16" Clear Acrylic. I added the "etched" logos to spice them up a bit. The cases for the blanks are diecast cases (Like TBT's only smaller) and they have the logos on them too.

The MiniMate Logo sign is flat cut 1/8" acrylic with a brushed aluminum laminate mounted to 1" thick foamcore. And, "No" I can't get you one ;)

There are short boxes of comics behind all of those Buffy figures. It's something I've always wanted - an entire wall of shelves, floor to ceiling. Unfortunately, I'm running out of room, and the comics have to be hidden by the figures.

  7. also, would it be possible to sharpen the feathers, give them a nice shiney silver paint for his metal wings?

I don't think that you'd have to sharpen them at all. The wings already have a nice angular sculpt on them. Slap some silver paint on 'em and go!

  8. I don't like the new packaging. Maybe it's just the pics that are here, but they look really odd with the figures on the bent part of the box. It's nice that they're hangable now, but otherwise, badly designed.

The new figures look awesome. You can never have enought DareDevils, and Ghost Rider looks pretty cool too. Are the dots on him as shiny in real life as they are in the pics? They look almost chrome in the pics here.

  9. Actually, we're on Season 2 over here. SciFi has been showing them. They're awesome. DVDs come out in a couple of weeks, too.

    However...

    Christmas Invasion rocked balls.

I heard a rumor that Tenant may be leaving midway through season 4, and that makes me sad. He's awesome. I loved Eccleston, but Tenant's much more charismatic. Hopefully it's only a rumor.

  10. So the classic Cylons just seem a little cheesy to me now. They are kind of bulbous (is that a word?) looking to me. A little bit like a weeble wobble. I don't know how to describe them. They just don't do it for me.

Weebles... That's what they've reminded me of all this time. I think you've described them perfectly. Still, I can't wait to get mine next week...
