  1. See it in IMAX if at all possible. I've seen it both ways and IMAX is by far the superior experience. Harvey's effect looks astounding on the gigantic screen, love that eyeball. :D

What an incredible film. So much better then the first and the first was quite excellent. I will never look at a pencil the same way again. :D :D

  2. An excellent wave. Perhaps my favorite of all the waves. When people tell you that Variant Phoenix is super rare believe them. It is. Any true minimate collector who doesn't have it would kill for it. And even before the Variant came out there were a lot more hard core collectors then there were Phoenix Variants. Now there is like ten times that number easily. There is not enough of the figure to go around by a long shot.

  3. The Hulk is the least-changed out of the 3. I have lots of comparison pics on my site, click the link below if you want to see. These were pretty cool at the time, I thought it was a great way to expose the Minimate brand.

I missed it when somebody said go to your site before thanks for the link. Nice to see what it all looks like without breaking the seal on mine. I may have a chance to get back to that part of town on Wednesday and will see if I can pick the others up. I think there was two more. No Captain Americas or Iron Mans though.

  4. I didn't know these even existed just found one at a local drugstore (they have a discount cd and dvd section). The movie came out a while ago but the one I bought didn't have a minimate with it. Is it collectible? I already have that Hulk so I'm not planning on opening it. If anybody knows about this I'd love some info.

  5. The whole "Visitors" from the 24th century makes me thing of Trials and Tribbil-ations from DS9.

DST has played this card once before.

    Cyrano Jones anyone?

Never thought of that. Makes sense. They could just be slapping Sisko's head on McCoy's body etc. Darn and I wanted me a Picard beyond the Dixon Hill one I already cobbled together. Here I was hoping for an army of Borg too.

  6. I would suggest looking on ebay for a large collection if you have the money. I see lot auctions (30+ figs) all the time. Try to get one that has many of the characters you need (if not most) and then once you have that finish off the rest with single auctions of loose figures. When I got back into collecting myself I did it with a large collection I bought off a former coworker and then completed it in less then a month of BINs on ebay. As the others say it's never too late. Patience is all you need. Plus there are lots of people here who will help you out.

  7. A crappy minimate I agree with sloppy construction poor design and weak paint job. But I think they have more then made up for it since with great ones like the BSG chase Six (love that expression and the dress is perfect) and of course the transparant X3 Phoenix. That's my favorite minimate. I bought a second one just so I could have her on the dash of my car. It's a wonder that those two figures even came from the same company.

  8. I have never trusted pre-buys especially when the item isn't due out for month or more. What's to keep them from shafting you if the item gets delayed (and minimates are always getting delayed). Last month I saw a pre-buy for marvel wave 20 (the vision one) and that's not due out until at least December right? More like it will hit in Febuary. Who'd be crazy enough to buy that one with like five months to wait (feedback is only good for threee). But like 3 people did it at least by my count.

  9. Nice displays. I like how you've taken the time to try and do classic poses for many of the minimates like where Juggernaut is ramming and Cap is blocking with his shield. Must have taken hours (hours well spent). I mostly stand mine up (seem to have less and less spare time these days) but I'm working on a Trek diarama and will post pics if and when I finish it.

Nice Senty. I had no idea my zombie DD had hair under the mask until you pointed that out. Going to go check the mini right now, thanks!

  10. I don't know if they were produced in fewer numbers, but I'd say people bought multiple sets just to make more background crew members.

That's what I did with the extra Scotty the variant gave me. Made a Redshirt out of other minimate parts. I tried to get a second regular Bones and Scotty set to make another Redshirt and a Lt. Boma figure so that I could do a Galileo 7 display but all the other sets were spoken for at my LCS. These trek mates are all the rage it seems. Must be the coming movie.

  11. I had no joint problems whatsoever with either the Avengers set or the Zombies. Just Col. America's shield which seems to be happening to everybody. I don't think the arm ring comes out of this one. I'm afraid to break it trying to find out has anybody else been able to remove the ring and replace it with an older one? I'd like to swap it for Invisible Girl's as I have three of the things and don't use any of them.
