This set looks great, and I love the vibrant packaging!
Zach, have you gotten packaged samples of the House of Blue Leaves set yet? I think that was supposed to be the first set released, has that changed?
>YES! The small voices were heard!
While you were absolutely right when you said that it would be a great addition, Robert and Barry actually had the alternate female head on the original design sheet back in June 2013. I just didn't know if it was actually going to happen, because I hadn't physically seen it, so I refrained from confirming it. But I'm glad it happened. Bamboo swords do not sheath, as far as I know.
And I love the Mix and Match aspect on the package. Good choice!
Glad to finally see the "Mix & Match" play pattern called out on the packaging. Hopefully we'll see that on the TMNT bags as well.
I've added a "swap parts" callout of some kind to the Turtles bags as well as the next few waves of Marvel. THAT was definitely due to the suggestions of people here.
Oh, and behind the insert on the Crazy 88 set? Two black motorcycle helmets and three more hair pieces -- all male, I believe.
Kind of wondering what you had displayed on the 2002 WWF calendar in the background.

I agree with Valo487. As far as I understand it, Fox and Sony get to keep their movie rights as long as they make movies within a certain time period. Its not dependent on whether there is a comic being published. Marvel got the rights to Daredevil back because Fox failed to put a movie into production within the time limit.
As for the Fantastic Four, I feel there have been several enjoyable runs in the past 10 years, from Mark Waid and Mike Wieringo to Jonathan Hickman's run.

It definitely seems like they are trying to build the properties they have control over. For example, pushing Inhumans over Mutants. It makes sense if their parent company Disney wants them to keep churning out properties they can convert into the next movie blockbuster.

It's definitely a Slobberknocker.
The minimates used are indicative of when I took these pictures. It's taken me a while to remember how to post pictures. Think I have it down now.

Just saw it again. I'm not really one to watch a movie multiple times in the theaters, but this movie was so fun I had to go back for more. I am seriously thinking about catching a sunday morning matinee.

Great great movie. Loved the mix of action and comedy. Also makes me very happy I found the TRU wave on Wednesday, otherwise I would have been jonesing for the minimates immediately after the movie ended.

Just having fun with a newly acquired Groot and Rocket.

I've actually got two more sets coming from the WWE shop: the Cobra Cage and the Damian Sandow School. I got a gift card for referring a friend to the network. Are they ridiculous? Sure. But that's also part of the fun. I do understand the frustration for someone who wants a wrestling line of mini figures like Minimates, I just don't really view these as that.

Toys R Us had the Wrestlemania 30 ring for 50% off. I picked it up and was pleasantly surprised. The figure likenesses are pretty poor, but bouncing them off those ropes is a lot of fun. Can't wait to put minimates in there.

Thor was turned into a woman in Earth X, so it's not that shocking. I like Jason Aaron's writing so I will check this out.

I might put that Senator Kelly head on a Howard Stark suit and call it Alexander Pierce from Winter Soldier.
-
These look amazing. Thanks for sharing the photos. I love Breaking Bad, and its nice to see a glimpse of what the minimate version could be. Fingers crossed these actually get made someday.

I sent an email to customer service to hopefully get the holster/belt. I might need to pick up a Jill Valentine.
-
Looks like mine is missing a sheath. Thanks for the heads up.

Questions for those who have a Winter soldier: Does he have two knife sheaths in the back or just 1, and are the legs on the sub machine guns on the same side of the gun, so if it's clipped to his hips one is facing the opposite way?
-
I can't help but look at Leonardo's helmet and think Galactus.
I thought the exact same thing!
I'm sure it was an intentional homage by the creators. Can't have a character named Kirby and not have awareness.

I'll give the freezer a try. I'm a little nervous about boiling the arm again. The plastic got a little soft for my liking. Thanks for the tips guys.
Results are in: The freezer trick worked! Thanks!

For how long? I put it in there for a minute, and it made the plastic around the joint flexible, but the peg still isn't rotating.
-
Just got my order in from Lukes. I love this wave. Unfortunately my Winter soldier has an arm that won't bend. Any suggestions?
-
I know he was supposed to be a knight, but I can't help but look at Leonardo's helmet and think Galactus.

That's my one gripe about the look of these 'mates; I'd prefer eyeholes in those masks. Or at least recessed eyes but that could lead to misregistered tampos. Either way, I think there should be eyes printed on the head and not just the mask.
That would be cool to have, although I don't ever think I would take the headbands off. It would seem wierd and strange to me. It's like when a wrestler who is already half naked doesn't wear knee pads or tall boots, you realize "hey that guys not wearing any clothes"

The Enterprise was a setting, not a character. A great setting though.
