I've read this may be based off the 2012 CGI series, which may anger some fans. However from what I have read in the new series, Don and Mikey get some weapon upgrades (Don gets a Yamato style spear and Mikey a karma style blade) so I'm keen to see those in Lego form. Plus it means I don't have to bother with the new figures when they're available at a better price

Granted I would prefer either original Mirage comics, IDW's series or 2003 over a 1989 based line (sorry but I just prefer the maturity and storytelling 2003 had over 1989) but I am keen to see what 2012 does.

The biggest disappointment this line could offer would be to not include Megaman and Pacman .

If those gimmicky throw-aways make it over Vega, Dhalsim, Cody, or Guy, I'm gonna stop collecting Minimates altogether on principle.

Vega and Dhalsim are likely to be in Wave 3. From what I've calculated, the core (i.e. none DLC) characters should be covered in the three waves as well as MAYBE two DLC characters. Cody and Guy are both DLC so I don't think we're getting them, as I suspect the last SF slot will go to Blanka.

Do any of the characters come with any accessories? I've been hoping Ken would come with some Shoryuken style accessories.

I agree that HBOND was at the bottom of my wishlist, BUT I understand they had to pad it out a bit like all companies do. You have to save something for the next release!

So I *expect* to see a wave 4 of Phantom of the Opera and Invisible Man! (As in I demand it, not that I think it's a given)

Oh I completely understand and my tendency to support underdogs would normally mean I'd agree with you. However I've gotten the impression this line isn't doing as well as expected and I won't be surprised if it gets dropped before Wave 4 is announced or released. So instead of rounding out the line with Mummy and Invisible Man, we get the Mummy and Quasimodo. Honestly, I feel a little annoyed the line could end before we get the Invisible Man, whom I've wanted since the early prototypes.

Now Im just going to cross my fingers that we get The Invisible Man. That would be a pretty cool exclusive for NYCC this year... I wont hold my breath on that though.

I agree. Truth be told I'm annoyed HBOND was made instead of Invisible Man. I never knew there was a Universal movie of him and even then he doesn't have the same iconic appeal as the other five we've gotten so far.

I personally want Cody, Guy and my main man Dudley but they're more likely to make up a fourth wave. Megaman and Pac Man are out of the question. One DLC guy MAY make it through and frankly as long as it isn't Sakura *shudder* I'm happy. I suspect it will be Blanka as he's the only mainstream/overused/SF2 character in the DLC roster.

Why would Megaman and Pacman be out of the question? They're Capcom and Namco owned characters the same as SF and Tekken so the licensing wouldn't be any different would it? They'd at least make for a great Comic Con exclusive pack or something.

I'm guessing the licence only allows the core characters and no DLC/bonus. Granted I'd prefer Classic or X to BBA but I suppose the parts he'd come with would allow people to make easier Classic/X customs. Plus a Mokujin Mecha would be AWESOME!

You have GOT to change your handle, pawcanada. Not only are you not IN Canada, you don't like Alpha Flight, Canada's premiere super-team (who is tangentially connected to the X-Men universe, but hardly exclusive to that area).

What is your position on hockey?

X-Men has never appealed to me, bar X-Factor. I keep meaning to read Alpha Flight but never get around to it. I prefer cosmic and mystical stories like Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor and Incredible Hercules as I like seeing characters taken on powerful world ending threats (which is also why I like Superman).

And true, I'm not in Canada but I was still born there and I still have my Canadian passport. And I've yet to go to one, but my Scottish friend keeps saying we should see a game. My parents never cared for sports so I never had the same interest in any - football (aka soccer), rugby, tennis, hockey etc. (though I do have a passing interest in basketball) that most people do. I'm more into extreme sports like rock climbing and snowboarding.

I would love more Capcom 'Mates, hope SFxT sells well and convinces DST and Capcom, and Namco to make more Minimates

SECOND! I'd love to see a line of Mega Man minimates (Classic, X and Zero would make me a happy bunny), a continuation of Street Fighter, focusing on well known and fan favourites and maybe even Darkstalkers, if the rumoured DS4 is on it's way.

In fact with DST getting MvC3 and SFxT, I'm calling it now - Darkstalkers 4 is the next Capcom minimates line Every minimate collection needs a British Kung-Fu warewolf with a pair of nunchaku!

Why was he the "wrong bond"? I actually read somewhere that Daniel Craig is closer to how Ian Flemming pictured Bond than any other actor has portrayed him.

As GotG was one of my all time favourite Marvel comics of the 00's (along with Nova and Herc) I am truely excited for this film. Plus I picked up Ultimate MvC3 at the weekend and have been maining Rocket Raccoon a lot, making me even more keen to see this film.

I'm still a little annoyed that walking boob (seriously; his belly was made with fricking BOOB physics! That! Is! Just! Wrong!) got a "main" slot in SFxTK and far better characters like Alex were shafted.

Having said that the rest of Wave 2 look awesome. I'm especially looking forward to Kazuya, Yoshi, Hehachi, Kuma and Hwoarang (yay! I get my two Tekken mains in minimate form) from the Tekken side and Abel, Hugo and Rolento from the SF side.

Mum-Ra "the everliving" will be in Series 4 according to the control art shown at the panel. The next two sets (2 & 3) will be sold at NYCC. Hopefully enough is being produced for on-line retailers. This line looks awesome!

Second. I'm hoping Luke is getting these (I've heard rumors he will) as £45 for the set (as I have seen on Amazon) is waaaaaaaaay too much for my liking...

I've been wanting Songbird since I first discovered the character a few years back. Cyborg Spidey is meh to me but I may get it anyway if it turns out well. However as a huge Nova fan I am ecstatic that the Centurians are the army builder. Now I just need to figure out the best way to get half a dozen. However I do wish Black Knight made it as well.

I have two questions.

Is there a close up picture of the new thundercats? I only see the villains up close.

Who is the SF-Tekken guy with the beret? I've been waiting for an official one forever, as well as a Jeff cap. His straps/ collar is pretty sweet too!

Rolento. He's a villain from Final Fight whom became a fan favourite after his appearance in Street Fighter Alpha.

I'm really liking the Street Fighter mates. If only we can get Dhalism, Blanka, E. Honda and maybe a few others down the road.

We're getting Dhalsim as he's in Street Fighter x Tekken. E. Honda isn't and Blanka is DLC so he's up in the air. Personally I think Kuma and Kazuya look great; can't wait to get them. Abel, Rolento and Hugo also look great; it's a shame we won't get Cody and Guy though as Hagger will be all alone against them and Poison! I'm a bit disappointed we're getting Chun-Li and Ryu though. I was hoping they'd skip them due to them being in MvC3.

Walking Dead looks meh to me but I have no interest in the licence. Thundercats, TRU AvX and classic style Fantastic Four all look amazing, especially Mr Fantastic and The Human Torch.

The toys look good (i'll get the turtles, and that's it), but I dunno about the cartoon.

Pretty much my thoughts. I like the new designs and Mikey and Don weapons being able to turn into a kama and naginata (I've always had a soft spot for Japanese/martial arts based weapons due to a life time love of TMNT and martial arts). However the cartoon... I dunno. I liked the 2003 series the most due to how close it was to the source and how well they adapted Miyamoto Usagi, showing his world, allies and GETTING HIS FRICKING NAME RIGHT (Usagi Yojimbo is the name of the comic, not the character. It would be like calling the protagonist of "The Walking Dead" Walking Dead)!

Was there a reason why they made two Ryu's? Simpler? More Popular? I'm not sure if I'd prefer Tron to Hsien-Ko but they both easily could of been made. We've seen sculpted wrists/ hands like Deathstrike or the new Kingpin? (still haven't found 13), for Hsein-ko and why not a torso that plugs into a lower half like Hulk-Buster or a base like Super Skrulls for Tron? either way they would of been bought. Sorry if thats been talked about and I missed it.

From what I read earlier in this thread, DST felt people would be more interested in SF1 Ryu. I'm kinda on the fence; on the one hand I love the fact Capcom gave Ryu his SF1 costume in MvC3 and therefore love having him as a minimate; I wish they could have followed suit and done some of the other alternative costumes like Scarlet Spider (whom I feel is in need of an update) and the Steve Rodgers agent costume thingy he wore when Bucky was still Cap. On the other hand I am also a HUGE Darkstalkers fan and am quite sad we only got three characters in MvC3, and only two of them as minimates. Granted I'd have preferred Talbain (ever minimate collection needs a British Kung-Fu werewolf/nunchaku master IMO) in the game but still.

Fingers crossed they can get the Darkstalkers license in the future (especially if the rumours of DS4 pan out).

DST and Art Asylum should make more of the Capcom characters minimates outside this game. And even nintendo minimates.....Uh....

I agree with Capcom more so than Nintendo. I've said it before, and I'll say it again; the Street Fighter/Final Fight franchise has many great characters who HAVEN'T appeared in SF2 and as it stands are unlikely to be made. Sure I appreciated I'm in the minority when I want the none SFII characters but I'd love to have all the World Warriors and Metro City characters in my collection. Same applies for Darkstalkers (it would be great to pose them with the Universal Monster they are based on). As for Capcom in general, the lack of Strider, Captain Commando, Hayato, Jin and Frank West makes me honestly wish DST would find a way to make the "remaining" Marvel vs Capcom characters.

7/25 comments are negative. It's amazing to me that people STILL don't have a clue what Minimates are.

I've seen similar comments on Comics Alliance before. While on the one hand I want to respect people's opinions but too me comments like that are too narrow minded, as if they've not been willing to give the figs and Minimates in general a fair chance.

DST, I accept your apology for making Kang before Rocket Raccoon . Judging by Luke's comments earlier (secret licence) I am wondering if we'll see more than just one boxset. While my memories are vague they could easily do a wave or two with the remaining characters.
