I hope the Spidey in the Spidey-Lizard 2-pack is a Torment Spidey with a removable mask

I'd rather see a new costume over a re-release. I think there's a few more at the bottom of the barrel. Having said that though, if we're going to re-release costumes, I'd rather see Scarlet, Ben or 2099 done first (think of them as my equivalent of Kang ).

A quick question for those who like to hot swap, do you also keep a figure " as published" for collection purposes?

It depends really. As mentioned before I want to give Reborn Thor a pair of black gloves to match his more recent look, but rather than modifying mine (which is still in the box), I'm looking for a loose one at a decent price. However I only have one Scarlet Spider and I've modified him with a pair of IM2 Black Window "web shooters". I think it depends on how the original mate turned out, as I was really dissapointed with how "vanilla" Scarlet was.

Surely if they came with different hair pieces, they could be the army builder for wave 38, aka the second IM2 wave (that I just thought up on the spot, but hey, if Spidey 3 can have two waves why not)

Quick question - I've toyed with designing my own minimates as well. I was wondering if you used a template or if you did the base from scratch.

I've recently begun looking at obtaining spare parts and hope to make similar tweaks in the future. I just never seem to get the right inspuration.

I managed to get my hands on a spare Movie Black Widow and gave the "web shooters" to Scarlet. He already looks a lot better (will post a picture later). I also picked up a cheap Ronin and ordered a spare Movie Deadpool from a Canadian eBay seller, with the intention of giving Ronin the two katanas. I've also toyed with getting a spare Reborn Thor and give him a pair of Fantastic Four gloves to match his more current look.

I hate to whinge, especially when we are seeing so much great stuff come out in Minimate form lately, but my enthusiasm for IM2 Mini's is wearing pretty thin. . .

I pretty much second what you said. Heck, why not do four new figures, each paired with one of the army builders. I'm sure I'm not the only one who wants to have all four in equal numbers.

While I felt Wave 3 would have made a nice close to the line, I wouldn't say no to wave 4 . 'course this means I'll have to hit eBay unless any US based memebrs can help a Brit grab all four .

I'm wondering if we'll ever see any more from the GB game. Since playing it I've always semi-hoped for the Rookie and while I'm not far into it, I know there are a few more ghosts they could make.

Can I please get this made somehow?

Off topic: Have you heard of the web critic "The Spoony One"? He's reviewed/snarked a couple of Reb Brown's movies including the two Captain America movies (and officially delcared Yor using a giant dead Bat as a hand glider as the best thing EVER!). I'm a HUGE fan of his work (and want to make a minimate of Dr Insano), but it's not to everyone's tastes as he often rips things apart pretty badly in his reviews. His eleven part FFVIII review pissed off a lot of fans (though some could argue they couldn't really take a joke).

I hope this isn't a spoiler, but what about Crimson Dynamo from the IM2 game? I know he's a stretch as these are technically IM2 Movie Minimates, not IM2 Game Minimates, but from the pictures I've seen of him, the armour looks awesome and would work great as a minimate (they did Iron Monger with no problem).

Unrelated: I'm a bit bummed to hear about the casting for the Cap Movie. Chris Evans doesn't strike me as the Captain! Although i reckon Hugo Weaving will be pretty awesome. Not sure if many people outside Australia will be familiar with him. He Played V in V for Vendetta. He was also Mitsy in Priscilla: Queen of the Desert - so he's capable of handling variety

I agree Chris seems like the worst choice. After his portral of Johnny I'd rather see him as Bucky, and even then he'd be too high spirited.

Personally I want to see Nathan Fillion, aka Mel from Firefly and Captain Hammer from Dr Horrible. Seriously, why has this guy NOT been cast as a hero yet?! I think he'd be perfect as Hal or Steve. Plus whenever Joss directs something, it seems Nathan automatically gets a role. With Joss directing Avenegrs, well, nuff said

I stopped collecting around 18 months ago, but got back in around the time Wave 25 was released and been following it strong ever since.

I mostly get 2 and 4 packs that interest me the most, but on the basis it has at least 3 characters I want (the 4-pack) and I want both the characters in the 2 pack. Anything else I hit eBay for. Unfortunatly before I took the break I had used up pretty much all the space I had for them on my book shelf, and now my collection has doubled since them, as I've been tracking down the Street Fighter and DC mates I didn't get first time round, all the Ghostbuster packs and any Terminator mates that appeal to me. Most of the newer stuff is still boxed and I'm running out of spaces for the boxes. My wallet has been crying quite badly for the past month :S

I voted for Armoured as I like the look. I'm hoping "The Captain" might make it in as I do like USAgent's look but felt he had a few minor flaws that let him down a LITTLE.

I'd take any Spidey variant that isn't the classic costume. Yes, I get it, most fans like the classic costume and it's his signature costume. However I said MOST fans. I always love it when Spidey dons new threads, and Scarlet, Ben Reilly and 2099 are my all time favourites and I liked the Iron Spidey costume (then again I thought the Peter/Tony friendship was also an interesting direction for the character). I loved the updates in wave 24 (including the slip on mask) so I've been hoping to see updates to my favourites ever since. To be honest seeing the 7865th version fo the classic costume over the updates I'd prefer doesn't make me a happy bunny. Heck, why not do bag man or the Black and White Negative zone costume he work for a page or two INSTEAD of the classic one.

OK, rant aside I am happy we're getting Doombot and Lizard. However I was hoping Doombot would come with an updated Fantastic Four wave. I know they could use the Mole Man's drones but to be honest I can't say I care for them. Doom is THE MAN. The new Things could be interesting as well but I'll wait until I see them. I know he's not worn many different costumes but they could do something creative here.

Nice concept and mixture of characters. I have to admit, I'm surprised you didn't do Kirk/Cyclops, but if anything it's more unqiue for having him ross with Wolverine.

I also find it a little funny, as comic reviewer Linkara recently reviewed the "Star Trek/X-Men" crossover comic a few weeks ago (he specialises in ripping apart bad comics).

Only 30 huh... In that case they definitly need to limit the number of SF characters. One of my pet peeves about some of the "Capcom vs" games ishow it ends up being "SF2 vs *insert name*". I mena out of all the Capcom characters in the otherwise classic CvsSNK2, we only get three non Street Fighter characters. And out of the SF characters, a good 90% are from Alpha and 2.

Anyway, rant aside I really hope they make a wide use of both Marvel and Capcom's roster. I know he might be a little over powered, but it'll make my day if Thor shows up, especally in his new costume.

Yes! Pretty much my favorite game of all time, I was stoked when MvC2 came to XBL. I'm not sure about the graphics, I really like the 2-D cartoony style, but the cell-shaded worked well for SF4, so I could work.....

I heard it was going to be a combination of SFIV and MvsC2, so I'm interested in seeing how it works.

I feel he'd work better as an alternative costume for Iron Man rather than a seperate character. I always disliked Bone Claw Wolverine and War Machine as they were just slight re-colours of Wolverine and Iron Man (bar the fact War Machine used missles when IM used beams and vice versa) . In fact they could get in a number of fan favourites if they go down the SFIV style alternative costume road.

I'm not sure how many of you are into fighting games and/or have heard, but the first

MvsC1 and 2 are two of my favourite fighting games, partly for the fan service. I always love the non-Street Fighter characters they put in, with Captain Commando and Strider being two of my favourites from the previous games (shame neither appeared in TvsC). As long as both of them return, I'm happy. And at the risk of over-flowing the Street Fighter side of the roster, I hope they only use one character per entry in the franchise, i.e. Ryu from Street Fighter, say Chun-Li from SF2, maybe Alex or Dudley from SF3, anyone from SF4 and MAYBE Dan from SFA. Heck why not make Gill the last boss. His base power level alone should make him a decent foe for half the marvel cast. Could maybe do with a Warzard character or two in there as well.

Can't wait to see who gets unvailed next.
