  1. (not to mention has been wrong with his information because he knew less than those he was 'informing' - the 4-pack release date for example.)

The fact that L.A. distributors received their product on the West Coast a week or so before everyone else did doesn't change the fact that the advertised official release date from D-S-T was October 17, 2007. Our shipment arrived via UPS on October 16, and all pre-orders went out on the very next day -- exactly as advertised.

And according to our D-S-T rep, you can soon expect the practice of shops in the Los Angeles area being able to get their product weeks early right off the loading dock before all container contents have been rerouted to the Memphis distribution center to be halted in D-S-T's attempt for release dates to be honored nation-wide.

At the end of the day, it's obvious that you have absolutely no intention of buying these from us even if I offered them for free and arranged for one of the film's cast members to personally deliver them directly to your doorstep. So the information I'm apparently "pimping" is not directed towards you anyway. <_<

  2. All I'm saying is that most exclusive 2 packs sell for $7-8(give or take) and asking nearly $10(give or take) as per your original price was not likely to encourage sales. I see you've dropped the price a $1 so that's better, but this will still be the first pack of minimates I'll probably skip on ( both are characters we have from the first 4 pack, just in different clothes & with shipping it makes the price creep up.).

I'm just stating my long term minimate buyers opinion. :)

    T.

Remarkable that $0.88 is a show-stopper for you, but that's okay. BTTF.com's unique services & product offerings certainly aren't for everyone.

It's not the label ,its the size & where you stuck it.

The label goes on almost all BTTF.com products, which most are much bigger than Minimates so they don't seem nearly as intrusive I guess. We currently do not have a smaller one, plus I don't know what an optimum location would have been than where those were applied.

  3. I appreciate your gesture. The label is easily removed & has been removed, alas the glue & subsequent marking to the 'window' remains. I'm in the UK & my order was for eight....yes ....eight of these,by the eighth removal of this 'promotional' label I began to get the hang of it! I appreciate the offer but i choose to decline it in the hope that subsequent items that you send out to other members aren't blighted in the same manner. Thankyou.

Honestly in the 15 years we've been in business, I've never been told that our label was a "blight" to the products we sell, but your criticism is well noted and will be taken into consideration for future shipments. Thanks for the feedback.

However, please do be aware that it is our understanding that the 2-pack exclusive is set to have a color label of our logo applied to the window at the factory by DST themselves, which is apparently the way they handle distributor exclusives to indicate an exclusive product for a particular vendor.

  4. URGH, I guess someone BTTF.COM doesn't realise that most toy collectors like MIB and don't want their precious toy packaging defaced with labels etc... :(

This and them overpricing their 2 pack exclusive so are the reasons why I'll probably never buy mates there.

    T.

Regarding our pricing of the 2-pack exclusive, it is currently priced at exactly the price our rep at DST suggested we price it at based upon up-front prepaid wholesale costs, product shipping, labor, packing & handling costs, and long-term storage fees.

  5. My shipment arrived today from BTTF.com........what the hell is the point of the bloody great label on each box ?I know where I bought them from without this disgusting label defacing each box. What makes it so infuriating is that these are some of the best 'mates I've seen in one of the best packaging designs . Brilliant 'mates shame about the label .

Regardless of the fact that the label is easily removed, please email me at the address given on the business card included with your shipment including your order number, and I'll send you a replacement set free of charge without one of our promotional labels. How's that?

  6. BTTF.com has the release date scheduled for 11/15.

Just an FYI for anyone who is interested.

    WW4M

Yes, that's the date DST gave us to expect delivery. The photos in the December 2007 issue of ToyFare (#124, page 22) seems to imply that all three sets shown don't come out until January 2008, but that doesn't apply to the BTTF.com exclusive 2-pack, which is still expected mid-November 2007.

  7. So, two questions. One, were these west coast only? Like, that would suck. And two, why does BTTF.com still/ now have the BTTF mates listed as November? I would think they would have gotten them so they could have them shipping on the release date. I am just anxious, I guess :) I didn't know if my LCS would (want) to carry the BTTF mates, so I ordered them from BTTF.com, along with their awesome exclusive!

DST delayed shipment of BTTF.com's Exclusive 'Enchantment Under the Sea' 2-Pack by one month due to factory delays. It is now due to drop on November 15, according to what our reps told us 2 weeks ago.

Our shipment of the Series 1 Boxed Set (4-Pack) is supposed to be enroute to us this week, and we should have them sometime next week. Since we are not on the West Coast (we are in Alabama - Southeast U.S.), we're still waiting for our shipment like all other vendors are on this end of the country.

The Series 2 Boxed Set (4-Pack) and Previews Exclusive 2-Pack aren't due until late January 2008 at the earliest.

  8. I was inquiring about shipping practices from BTTF (which are very reasonable IMO) and got an interesting piece of news:

"Thanks, and we hope you'll be ordering the Minimates from BTTF.com. The first wave arrives in about 3½ weeks!"

    Let the countdown begin!!!

Yes, the BTTF Boxed Set arrives somewhere around October 20. However, it turns out that DST has delayed our exclusive ("Enchantment Under the Sea" 2-pack) by 1 month, and they will now be arriving somewhere around November 20.

  9. that is totally Doc and Marty from the second movie. and that could be an older Biff, and either Marty's son or Marty himself, it has been awhile since I have seen this movies.

The figures are Marty McFly & Doc Brown (in their 2015 costumes), Biff Tannen (from the casino in the Alternate 1985), and Marty McFly (in his spy costume from 1955).

  10. I do believe it's been a fairly new announcement, so you're not far behind at all, infallabile.

It is, and we jumped the gun by a month or so. DST won't be formally announcing it until sometime in July, but allowed us to move forward with our own grassroots campaign earlier.

And we've got BTTF.com themselves on the board. It's always great to get word directly from the vendor. Thanks and welcome, BTTF! :)

Glad to help out any way we can by answering questons about this promotion.

  11. Will this two pack only be available through BTTF.com, or will it also be available through previews, like the Darkstalkers DSTexclusive?

BTTF.com will indeed be the exclusive distributor of this item upon its availability in early October.

I wonder if Universal Studios will have them. They do carry minimates in their park shops.

The Universal Studios theme parks are getting out of the Back to the Future™ business. Universal Orlando closed Back to the Future™...The Ride back on March 30, and Universal Studios Hollywood is scheduled to close theirs after September 2. Very doubtful you're going to find anything from this series in the park of any caliber once their existing stock is depleted.
