  1. Here's the list of suggestions we forwarded to DST about a month or so before "Wave 3" was even announced:

    4-Packs:

    • BTTF3 "Wave 3" 4-Pack Boxed Set with "Western Marty McFly", "Western Doc Brown" with high-powered riffle, Buford 'Mad Dog' Tannen, and Clara Clayton with telescope.
    • BTTF1 "Wave 4" 4-Pack Boxed Set with "Radiation Suit Marty McFly" with video camera, "Radiation Suit Doc Brown" with plutonium case, Mr. Strickland and Jennifer Parker.
    • BTTF2 "Wave 5" 4-Pack Boxed Set including Griff, Data, Whitey & Spike, all with their corresponding hoverboards.
    • BTTF3 "Wave 6" 4-Pack Boxed Set with "Clint Eastwood Marty McFly" with boots, "1955 Doc Brown" with pistol, Seamus McFly, and Maggie McFly with baby William McFly.
    • BTTF2 "Wave 7" 4-Pack Boxed Set including "2015 Marty McFly" with fired fax or blue guitar, Marty McFly Jr., Marlene McFly with headphone set, and Lorraine McFly with hydrated pizza.
    2-Packs:
    • BTTF1 "Battle of the Bands" Exclusive 2-Pack including Marty McFly with guitar and "Huey Lewis" (teacher) with megaphone.
    • BTTF: The Ride "Institute of Future Technology" Exclusive 2-Pack including "Labcoat Doc Brown" with remote control and "1955 Biff Tannen" with wrench.
Obviously, there are plenty of other combinations of other characters, but we felt that these were probably among the top choices which would make sense at a commercial level. Had "Clara Clayton" been included in 'Wave 3', we would have had that set nailed dead-on!
  2. of course you could give us another exclusive..... just to give us more bttf figures! ;)

We're already discussing possibilities internally and with DST, but we've got to move a bunch more of the existing 2-pack first before we can even begin seriously thinking about doing another one. Stay tuned though, I'm sure it'll happen eventually...

Yeah, when you put it that way, BTTF.com's exclusive doesn't "count" as a Previews exclusive. Guess I was reading too much into your statement. Still, I don't think DST intends to balance out their packs like that. It's my understanding & impression from our early talks with DST that PX happen only as a resort of when there's not a vendor already lined up to distribute them exclusively. If we could afford to exclusively distribute all 2-packs instead of Previews, we'd certainly do so. But the investment costs are staggering.

  3. ..... bttf 3 (i know we've got 3 set's already but i don't think the bttf exclusive count's)

What do you mean that it doesn't "count"? I don't follow your logic, since Previews isn't the only "vendor" who carries exclusives.

Would you say that it didn't "count" had ShopAFX.com picked up a BTTF exclusive to distribute instead of BTTF.com?

  4. After the first two sets included accessories, we're a little disappointed that there are none included with this set.

DST gave us a choice of the two 2-pack sets when signing up to be their exclusive distributor of whichever one we chose, and this one just didn't make sense for us to invest in as a BTTF.com exclusive. I'm confident that we made the right choice and am certainly glad that we chose the "Enchantment Under the Sea" set over this one, but I'm glad that it's still available as a Previews Exclusive so that we could still stock it in our catalog.

  5. I've not asked DST about this myself, but we suspect that it was a printing error at the factory. BTTF.com was the exclusive distributor of this product LONG before the packages were even printed up. We signed up pretty much from Day 1, so why the Previews Exclusive logo was printed on the card originally makes no sense other than it seems that someone wasn't paying attention to the work order at the factory. Oh well....

  6. Also, Stephen, love your business card. :-)

Thanks! Glad that there are true BTTF fans who can appreciate that photo almost as much as I do... :)

We appreciate the very positive feedback you left on our site about the set. So far, the exclusive has been a positive experience for us ever since it finally arrived last week, so hopefully these will sell very swiftly for us and we'll be able to take advantage of doing another exclusive with DST if the opportunity presents itself.

  7. Is it faster to order from your site or to get them via ebay?

    Jeff of the Minis

From our site -- we ship daily, Monday - Friday. You won't have to wait for an auction to close like you would for eBay if you order direct from the site. You'll get it much quicker, and we don't have to pay those pesky eBay listing & seller's fees either!

    Thanks!

  8. All pre-orders have been filled and are in the postal system now. Everyone on here who has ordered already, you should be receiving yours early next week if you're stateside. International orders can take a week or two. Thanks for everyone's patience in getting this product in. Hopefully this will be a success and we'll be able to invest again in, um, future BTTF exclusives from DST...

  9. Speaking for myself, Stephen, if you get your stuff on Christmas Eve, I don't expect you and your staff to spend your holidays getting this out to us. I think Spidey 3 and the Previews Marvel sets will keep me entertained through the holidays, so make sure you and your team enjoys your holiday season and New Year's. :-)

Many thanks for your understanding & patience.

We just received an email from one of the top VPs at Diamond saying that their L.A. warehouse is supposed to have them by close of business today, so hopefully they'll be shipped out to us within the next 24 hours. Doesn't do us any of us any good for a Christmas delivery, but at least we'll have them in the next several days so that we can finally get them into your hands.

  10. Just got the following message from our rep at DST...

I still don't have any specifics, but I wouldn't count on getting this for Christmas. I'm sorry.

We pretty much had deduced that was going to be the case, but we will still work around the clock getting all orders out the very moment DST does deliver them to us. Sorry folks -- it's completely out of our hands.

  11. I'll try to give you the "Cliff's Notes" summary of what's going on...

We were told by Diamond Select Toys that the product finally shipped from China on November 15, which indeed it did. We were told to expect a two week delivery from China by boat. Since we are required to prepay such a large order to Diamond on all exclusive products prior to them shipping to us, we billed everyone's credit cards a week after they shipped starting on November 22 so that we could make our payment to them and everything would be all squared away so that the moment they arrived at Diamond, there'd be no delays in getting them to us.

Well, two weeks turned into almost four weeks, and they finally arrived in the U.S. and cleared Customs on December 5. However, there's some unknown crazy problem in getting them off the boat and sent to the Diamond warehouse in Los Angeles to be shipped to us, but nobody at Diamond seems to know exactly what the hold-up is. Our rep gave us this this update on Friday (December 14):

"I’ve received word that our warehouse staff in LA are doing everything in their power to get you this product ASAP, no real updates to speak of but your item is a #1 priority for Diamond and everyone is doing what they can to expedite getting it to you."

We do expect delivery this week, and once they hit our doorstep, we will immediately ship all orders out -- working around the clock until all orders are all filled and shipped out. My sincere apologies to you all for the lengthy delay and inconvenience. We would have never billed our customers so early had we known that these delays would happen.

Thanks for your understanding & patience.
