  1. If the new pics are true I can be happy. At least they are now going for a comic colour scheme.

as for the thin and larger breasts (that is one of the most uncomfortable lines I've typed on this board) We havnt seen any programs yet and as much as we look through rose tinted spectacles, Linda Carter was/is great as WW i remeber watching Spiderman vs the Dragon and thinking that was the best thing since unsliced bread.

Basicly all I'm trying to say is the more Superhero stuff on TV the better

    lol post of the day

  2. wonderwoman doesnt have to ooze sexuality, she is a symbol of strength and confidance, yes she is beautiful but its not what makes her wonderwoman, though based on the outline of this show she has none of these qualities, so i dont think the problem is the look, the problem is what their using the look for

good point. Maybe sexuality was too strong of a word. Attractive? She honestly looks to everyday for me. meh.

  3. i really think this was a bad casting choice. WW should be stunning not avg. This chick has a weird chest and bad mole in the middle of her head. Its very distracting. Linda Carter was beautiful and looked like a women. This chick looks like she could work at a Dairy queen. It's the same problem I had with the Bionic woman remake. The actresses dont exude sexuality. Eliza Dushku wouldve have been a perfect choice.

  4. Love the action shots. Really like the boots and the yellow straps. What did you use?

Thanks, I used snap buttons that go on most western shirts. I smashed it with a hammer and painted and glued to Apocalypse's boots. I thought about sculpting the discs but came up with the button idea instead. I also used smashed scrapbook buttons on his gauntlets. The straps are orange/yellow ribbon that i found at a craft store. I liked it cause it was actually stitched on both sides. I did a black paint wash to dull the color down.

Wow - very VERY nice! AoA Colossus is one character that i'm VERY sorry we're not seeing get an official release. Yours looks fantastic HJ! Thanks for sharing him with us.

Thanks Nessex! It was fun to do.

  5. I always thought that CM Punk would make a good minimate. It would be cool to see all the tattoo's. Sting and Undertaker would be sweet in minimate form. Just think of the Through the Ages possibilties. I collect the current Mattel legends line. I really like them.

The rumblers are cool looking but i dont like the static poses.

  6. He looks pretty good. My 2 cents on the paint. i learned the hard way enamel paints don't do very well on minimate parts, always use acrylics and you will get much better results. also a finish clear coat works wonders for hiding brush texture

Thanks for the suggestions. I used a Tamiya Flat Clear spray, and Mr. Color acrylics. I had issues with it drying to fast. I think i need to cut the paints more or go to a different brand. Maybe i will do citadel next.

  7. So, I haven't done a custom in probably 7 years. This one has been in my head for about as long as that. Minimate parts have finally caught up with my vision. So here is my first shot at starting to do customs again. I did black wash all over his chest strap and boots to make it look rugged/dirty.

I'm not happy with his bandanna. The paint seem to glob too much on it. It's weird because the bandanna looks porous. Prior to painting it it looked smooth. I tried doing a wash on it to dull it out or mask it but it didnt work. I like the rest of the figure. Colossus is a little taller than a regular minimate. His paint isn't as glossy as the flash shows it. You can see it better in the natural light picture. Hope you enjoy and critiques are welcome.

  8. I have a very difficult time imagining Tarantino doing a superhero movie. Maybe Master of Kung Fu.

I think I'm the only person I know who has never even seen a Tarantino movie. :|

That's something that a) I would not go around telling people. And B would rectify immediately rent Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill Vol 1 & 2, Jackie Brown you'll thank me.

I actually have Pulp Fiction here on VHS. Maybe I'll give it a look today.

    Definitely check it out.

    Waltz was incredible in bastards

    Jackie Brown is underrated

  9. It just mystifies me why DST don't just make a decent box-set of the big guys & have done with it? I never thought the Sentinels would sell but hey what would I know but having Sentinels smaller than Juggernaut just makes this vicious circle, spiral .

I'm sure there's been human-sized Sentinels in the past, that isn't gospel... but I'm almost certain.

There most certainly have been human sized sentinels, but the ones i remember didn't look like the classic sentinels.

Operation: Zero Tolerance featured Prime Sentinels which were humans that had been fitted with nano-technology capable of transforming them into heavily armed creatures that looked similar to Bastian.

uGH, That picture just brought back bad memories from the 90's. I was really disapointed with the zero tolerance storyline. Never liked Bastian, seemed he was a villian with pontential. It also spawned one of the most useless x-men ever, Dr. Cecila Reyes.
