Considering the Iron Man movie is out already, and only roughly a month left to Hulk, are we going to see the Mates series that match up with these movies come out any time soon? or is it going to be like the SM3 sets where they came out like 6 months after the movie did?

Is it me or anyone else think we're due for some Spider-Man love?

If so, I hope that we can get a Kraven and Lizard along with Vulture. . .and maybe even a Scorpion. Personally, I would prefer extra, unreleased villains over another Mary Jane or. . .an Aunt May. I think that I could really live without ever having an Aunt May "action" figure.

Though I doubt it, as they seem to be going with the 60's Wasp looks for this set. Just hope we eventually get a modern looking wasp... maybe coupled with a yellow jacket mate that we so desperately need.

And can we get a frikkin Yellow Jacket already?!

I would love a box set of the "Jim Lee" era X-Men... Classic Beast, Gambit, Jean Gray (that crazy outfit I can't describe), Jubilee, white Storm, etc.. really, the costumes and looks from the 90's fox kids animated show. Those are the classic uniforms for those characters in my opinion.

We could also really use classic Sabertooth

Already picked them up on EBay You know what's a dirty trick though? A lot of seller's are putting the box image in their listing, but saying in the fine print "This is for Iron Man only" or one of the other three charcaters... I had to go back a few times to make sure I was getting the right set. Dirty trick.

Because, being the obsessed maniac I am, I'll want to have both Giant-Man and Ant-Man assembled at all times, along with, supposedly, 3 different versions of Wasp. In which case I'll probably have a bunch of Gold Iron Man and Hulks to give away

Box sets of villain teams would be nice. I could go for a Frightful Four (Wizard, Medusa, Paste-Pot Pete and Sandman) Just need a 5th figure that suits this set but I cant think of one.

Wrecking Crew would be cool as well with a Hercules minimate.

Yea, actually I was looking through all my Marvel mates just last night, and the Hero to Villain ratio was about 3 to 1... definitely need more villains.

Working on a Wasp myself at the moment, the wings are driving me crazy, can't think of good ones anywhere!! grr!

Yea, been sticking with the scraping so far. For the stripes, should I just do precise paints/sharpy application, or maybe get all black stickers and cut them in the shape of stripes and stick them on?

So I'm trying to make a Tigra custom. I'm using sdtarfire's head and hair and cheetah's body right now. Now, tigra, obviously, is a tiger, not a cheetah... so I'm going with an xacto knife and slowly scraping off all of cheetah's spots so I can paint stripes over. Is this stupid, is there a better way to get the paint off? The plastic itself is orange.

I know these kinds of threads are a dime a dozens, but sometimes the fan boy in you just has to come out and talk about what you'd like to see, so here are some of mine:

Herc / Ares 2- Pack --- Ares is now on the Mighty Avengers, Herc just took over the Hulk book and they're both a big part of the Marvel U again. This can only be a matter of time, and I truly hope they come paired together

World War Hulk 4(or5)-Pack --- Seeing as how there was a Marvel Zombies and, now, Civil War themed packs, event themed Box Sets might become the norm... and if they do, I'D KILL FOR A WWH box set! Obvious we'd need Green Scar Hulk, his wife Caiera Oldstrong, Miek done ala DC's Salaak mate (but, obviously, not 2.5), and Korg in all his big rocky coolness. This could also simply be called the "Planet Hulk" set, or even "The Warbound" set. Whatever it's called, I'd love to see it.

Captain Marvel Box Set --- While we're on the topic of box sets, one with four or five of the different Cap Marvel or Kree themed heroes would be very cool.

The Phoenix & Ion Wonder Man --- I've wanted this for some time, an dnow that we have the Archangel stuff there's a bit of precedent. Basically it would be a normal minimate, but there would be this encompassing stand around it in the shape of the Phoenix Raptor (done minimate style), kind of cradling her in the center of it. As for Ion Wonder Man, I'd love to see him done in transparent purple with silver specs IN the plastic, and then much like the Human Torch mate, have a stance and energy accessories that come out of his hands made of the same material... with, of course, a glowing red W in the center of his chest. I really think this would just be AWESOME.

Gonna paint them white or just leave it like that?

Also, anyone need a Hawkeye or Apoc? Got extras cause of the variants.
