I gave up because it was buggy as all heck and they stopped updating it.
Which made me very happy I never gave them a dime.

Guys, Paizo is a gaming company. Actually, they are a bunch of gamers who ran a niche magazine and didn't like the direction D&D was going with 5th edition, so they decided to home-brew their own system, which became very popular, which they then decided to take to market. Was it premature for them to try to produce and sell toys if they had limited experience in retail fulfillment? Maybe. Am I grateful that they tried, and it resulted in Minimates? Personally, yes.
I feel like this is taking on the same "this company is terrible and hates the fans and is willfully trying to deceive and screw over collectors" tone we get about DST when they make unpopular decisions. I would venture a guess that, once again, hardcore Minimates collectors were not the primary audience in consideration when Pathfinder Minimates were initiated, when distribution channels were selected, or when marketing decisions were made.
Which makes it even more baffling that they would try to distribute their con-exclusives through a little known MOVIE e-tailer. Unless there is a pathfinder movie?

I just checked my order and it says items processed, awaiting shipment. I haven't received any emails from them yet for a refund or partial refund so I hope that I will get my complete order. Paizo should have offered them to Luke to sell on his site. None of us would of had a problem then!
I agree.
The big question however is why the hell didn't Paizo sell them themselves ?
Because Paizo can't even sell their own boxset?
-
Just got an email indicating the same thing; at the same time, it also says that everything shipped.
And they use the word "refund"; um....if you didn't ship me something, you shouldn't be charging my card for it and then refunding.
their messaging is completely confusing.
These have been on the drawing board since before Toy Fair 2013. No interest in the property from me either but those Minimates look stellar. I'll grab a set of fun toys any day!
So this morning I requested an update from Paizo on the boxset. Here is their disappointing reply:
"I've taken a look into your order, and it seems that we do not have a current estimate for when the Pathfinder Minimates Box Set will be available. It looks like they are currently a preorder item, but we do not have any information about when they will be ready to go."
-
Put me on record as being completely bemused by just about everything surrounding the distribution of this new line .
yeah, what happened to promises of coming here and letting us know where/when things would be available? Hmmm....

I am actually surprised by the lack of interest im hearing on here, everywhere else seems to be the exact opposite, the trailer to me was very on par with when the first Ironman was announced, the film seems to be in a very similar vein, visually and tone wise.
I hope we get a full wave but not getting that suit and the Yellowjacket armor at least would be a travesty
I agree; the trailer actually has me interested in Ant-Man for the first time ever. I've never really cared for the character, especially out of costume, and this would be the first solo story I would want to see.

I think he looks good as a minimate.
Well, with the exception of TEN's. But to be fair, that's not TRU's fault, unless a box cutter went through the carton and into Thane's chest.
-
Just checked mine, it says:
"Item Processed - Shipping Pending"
I ordered the morning of 12/31/14
However, above that it also says: Processed - Sent For Fulfillment
Exactly the same with mine

Has anyone received their boxset from Paizo?
-
I just don't see Orb making it into a boxset sold at retail.
At retail, name recognition is everything and there is already one major character that must be in the set that nobody at retail would recognize: Uatu.
For the other three spots, you have to remember that there is a big difference between "HAS a movie" and "will have a movie"
-
Uatu could return via Secret Wars 2015
-
The fact that DST already missed the boat with this one aside, I would have loved to get an Uatu in a set like this, especially with your suggestions. However, I think he would have been viewed as the Z-lister never-thought-it-would-happen guy to make fans happy. Maybe an alternate head with a gunshot wound?
The boxset I would have expected:
Uatu
Nick Fury
Bucky
Captain America
as much as I would like a Panther update, similar to your suggestions, I don't think he'd be a big enough name to sell a boxset.
the way the story was setup, it would have made for a good theme wave, since you could pair up the different investigative teams.
Moon Knight/Gamora
Punisher/Doctor Strange
etc

The barb came about because "grittier" and "realism"

thanks for the pics!
I like the second spidey one where he can't get his helmet off
-
Thanks for pointing out that there was free shipping.
You can also get 10% off your order by signing up for their email list. They then send you the promo code "moviemars10off".
-
I would be concerned about the additional costs of using magnets.
-
So why hold back the details? Does Previews have an exclusive to the announcement of the licenses and assortments?
-
So....brick and mortar stores have them but Paizo online doesn't?!?! Weird.
-
Thanks for the pics!

Wack is short for "Wacky", meaning "Crazy"
Whether it is good or bad is dependent upon your point of view
