haven't a clue Pickle. UK Toy Fair has always been a real closed shop affair. Winkerbean might have an idea though.
-
I read Wizard from Issue 3. Toyfare from Issue 1.
I stopped buying Toyfare before I stopped buying Wizard because, apart from Twisted Toyfare Theatre I wasn't enjoying reading it.
Wizard I kept with until about 2 years ago when it seemed it had became a big book of lists and splash pages with the occasional good interview.
I missed reading it, but resented spending the cash on what had become a very flimsy magazine.
All the same, it's a shame to see them both go, but Wizard lasted what? 18-20 years? That's nothing to be ashamed of.

I kept every item of minimate packaging until very recently. Since then, unless I've needed to keep the packaging for MMC review photo's I've chucked the lot away. The only stuff I'm keeping are the old style boxes from waves 4 to 13 as they are great for displaying your 'mates. I suppose I could have put the boxes on ebay, but being in the UK there's probably less call for them and I needed the space straight away.

These are sounding more and more interesting by the minute. I'll bet that one of the planned construction sets is going to be a mini TARDIS. Any other ideas. though? The Pandorica? Amy's house? The ship from "Time of the Angels"? Interiors of the Starship UK? The War Room? Craig's apartment?
I see your Tardis, and raise you a Tardis control room. Hopefully one with working lights, sounds, and motion like the one Character produced based on the Control room for the 9th and 10th Doctors.
A control room from each era would be incredible. As would all 11 doctors and respective companions as mini figures.
Sadly I'd imagine character will concentrate on current Who rather than it's history. Still, these things are going to rock!

Boyd The Beeb is probably desperate for money, hence the licence whoring.
Both yourself and Northraider are welcome to drop me a line if these little guys get produced. Happy to help spread the Who love.
By the way, did I say 'WANT'?
No?
WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANT!!!

It places the lotion in the basket...

Awful footage. Thankfully it's only cars. I know what an investment a car can be but at the end of the day it's just a thing.
Stay safe Aussies. Hope you and yours are all away from this disaster.

Some interesting viewpoints being expressed here folks, and it's appreciated that for the most part it's being done in an adult and intelligent manner.
However, (there had to be a however didn't there?) the thread is dangerously close to the line, actually in my opinion it has already crossed it. Can we please try and bring the conversation back to the Cap moviemates. Enough has been said on the meaning of various flags and political symbolism.
Thank you.

yea imageshack I'll wait a few days more without panicking.
Was the tardis line supposed to be a bad pun or is it just to early?
Genuinely happened, but it's the way I tell 'em!

Blinovitch Limitation last seen in rose, A Time traveller cannot touch their earlier/later self
I take it you're referring to Gambon's character then? At what point did he (fnarr) touch himself?
-
You using imageshack? It happens sometimes. My tardis avatar went missing a few days back and then miraculously re-materialised.
-
the Christmas special was a bit spotty. Had some lovely touches though. Ady, what did it contradict mate? My memory never has been what it was
-
Wow! Fifth Element is one of my favourite films. Love what you've done here Luke.
Zorg and the Diva are just fantastic mate!
-
I'll raise it with the other guys.

I love my iPhone. Such a useful device. Apple have their knockers and complaints about closed systems but the iPhone does everything I want it to do. (except play flash video)
Mate showed me his HTC wildfire the other week and I was very impressed with that too. The interface is easily as responsive as the iPhone.

Currently enjoying Angry Birds and Angry Birds seasons, And iBomber defense. which is a strategy game that's a lot of fun but quite infuriating when you can't beat a level. Cut the Rope is another ace game, and I hear a lot of good things about Axe in Face!

We're not going to have a problem here, are we?
Nono, sorry, I was just teasing.
Cheers fella, apologies for coming on a bit heavy. I seem to be a tad thin-skinned today.
-
Wow, we have rules on that too?! Maybe I should read these mythical rules...
We're not going to have a problem here, are we?

I think its more a matter of the heavy-handed approach to diversity. They even point out that they're being diverse in the product description.
Possibly due to the criticism levelled at DST when wave 1 of MAX was released. These aren't aimed at adult collectors. These are aimed at kids and intended to be played with. Why shouldn't there be a mix of different races in the assortments? Some people are making far more of this than is necessary. This isn't political correctness gone mad. What BHM described on the first page of the thread is Political Correctness gone mad. This is a toy line that is quite rightly aimed at all members of U.S. society. What is wrong with that?
While we're at it, can I remind all members that there are rules on this forum regarding discrimination. Please don't step over that line.
-
Politically correct to have black/Asian/female toys?
Or financially astute? After all, the toy buying public aren't all white and male.
-
-
Don't forget these are primarily aimed at kids. Not us grumpy old bastards.
You can never have enough fireman toys when you're a kid.
I also think it's great DST are diversifying the race and gender mix too. The first release bothered me in it's all-blokeness, all-whiteness. Good work DST!

Speaking of McCoy, the 1998 TV movie was on YouTube for a little while. I don't even want to dwell on how they convinced him to
succumb to Death by Asian Gangsters
in that one
I think McCoy was just grateful to be given the chance to pass the baton on. It is one of the lamest scenarios for a regeneration IMO.
I know we MUST have mentioned it at some point, but has anyone seen this guy's amazing Dr Who Anime works lately? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L0IQ5fZ2XrQHaven't clicked on the link TM2, but is that the one with the 3rd Doctor doing a lot of Venusian Aikido?
If it is, it's ace. If it isn't hunt it down.

Oops, just spotted my faux pas. Apologies Screamfleet, I won't call you Screamfest again!
