  1. Quick question for those who have opened their Plastic Man's, is there a place inside to stow the suitcase? I'm curious, since I could store Gleek next to Jayna(I think?) in the packaging until I'm ready to display them.

Not that I know of. There isn't much extra room in the outer box and the inner is just a carded figure like any other DCUC.

  2. Damn. That Grimlock looks fine. Apparently they were on TRU.com. Not surprised they didn't last.

Yes, and the preoder started $10 cheaper than they ended up retailing for. Caused quite a stir after they pulled the preorder off the site. Apparently, all of the cheap preorders are going to be honored on a first-come-first-served basis. Typical TRU snafu.

'best of' wave 2 - nice to be able to find a Peter and energized terror dog, nice to see some more ghosts to be easier to find

    Jeff of the Miniacs

I'm glad to see this wave for a few reasons.

    1) It's good to know that people will get another shot at a couple very hard to come by sets. Gooey Ray and Stay Puft especially.

    2) I'm glad to have another shot at a second Energized Terror Dog. They seemed to have dried up the first time around just before I decided I wanted another. Plus, another Venkman will be good to have for the marshmallow hairpiece.

    3) Could this be a "testing of the waters" of sorts for a wave 5? This doesn't really seem like a good way to end the line unless it's just a money grab, which doesn't seem very likely.

  4. Target has always been one of the best retailers at handling exclusives, in my experience. Any problems could most often be attributed to the manufacturer. As for being able to look for Mates in more places? I'm all for it.

Around here, it isn't really Target's fault, so much as the fact that people apparently get up at the crack of dawn to clear Target out of any reasonably or potentially popular item. It was that way with the 25th Anniversary Joes when they were out, and it was that way with the DCUC figures. They always have left-overs, but very rarely have any prime meat.

Right, but exclusives are always plentiful. Like, entire endcap plentiful.

  5. I just hope he doesn't continue to demand outrageous prices, he really just isn't worth $50. :pinch:

The range I'm seeing seems to be $20-$40. I managed to get one via Best Offer after some haggling for $29.99, which was my maximum, but I didn't feel like getting into any potential bidding wars or other such nonsense.

Now that I have the C2E2 and SDCC versions, I really really want the Toy Fair version. They just look a little sad without their brother.

  6. "Ha!" at Granny-Panties Wonder Woman!

Looks to me like the Superboy and Legion are probably going to be a 5-pack exclusive. Matter Eater Lad is definitely an odd, yet certainly welcome, choice. I wonder if the Sinestro Corps and Kyle Rayner might be the same kind of deal or if they're going to be 2-packs.

Looks like they're expanding the Action League figures past Brave and the Bold into the DCU proper. I might be in a bit of trouble there.
