  1. The typical span of time between announcement and release for these LCS waves is roughly 8-9 months. This wave was announced in February, so November sounds right. I have noticed TRU waves drop sooner, so I expect to see Series 26 popping up this Summer. Especially because of the recent TRU upheaval.

  2. The upcoming Black Cat suffices as her classic look for me. It is definitely better than the Friends & Foes mate. I never understood the hate for that box set though, the Vulture and Doc Ock were well-executed. Especially for the time. I'd even say the Vulture mate still looks holds up today.

    B)

I'll be serious now. I have noticed the movie waves (or at least those intended to align with release of said movie) have always seemed more hastily prepared. Most of this can be justifiably attributed to time constraints and lack of proper design information beforehand. Notable examples include the lack of a Goblin Glider with the TASM 2 Harry mate. That said, it is a shame people are receiving sets with missing accessories. I hope everyone affected is able to get the parts they're missing.

  4. Ah! Don't remind me! The gradual price increase of Legends is why I started taking my Minimate-Collecting more seriously.

Mates are comparatively inexpensive with more consistent quality than most other toy lines. Not to mention, the most expansive character selection.

  5. It's crazy to think. We're approaching Wave 76 for standard sets and 26 for TRU.

Factoring in Walgreens, Box sets, and all the other specialty waves over the years; there have been well over 100 Marvel waves.

I still remember buying the Daredevil/Kingpin set at Walmart. This would have been way back in 2003, the days of Toybiz Marvel Legends.

Come to think of it, I most likely had a Spider-Man Classics figure in my cart as well. I miss those days.

  6. Summer 2018:

Every Toys R Us store is a barren ghost town.

The coveted TRU 26 wave sees an extremely limited release. It is said the wave was only distributed to five TRU stores, which were soon thereafter shut down.

Despite this, Menagerie's store has 10 in stock of each pack.

  7. I love that more obscure Spidey villains are getting attention again with these recent waves. I'm really excited for these mates. Especially Demogoblin and Shriek. Not to mention, we're finally getting thwip hands!

I hope this trend of obscure Spidey villains continues and we soon get a Prowler, Jackal, Morlun, Spider Slayer, Tombstone, Tinkerer, Silvermane, a new Silver Sable, Puma, and many others.

  8. They both look great. Seeing that Holographic Iron Man with the glowing head has got me thinking... There should be an Iron Man mate that uses transparent plastic in his head and torso, which light could then pass through to illuminate his eyes and chest repulsor. Similar to Transformers figures or the old Ultron minimate that came with Ms. Marvel.

  9. - Johnny Blaze Ghost Rider

    - Silver Sable

    - Jessica Drew Spider-Woman

    - Ronin

    - Classic Suit Wonder Man

    - Classic Vision

    - Horseman of Death Archangel

    - Namor

    - Todd McFarlane Spider-Man

    - Wasp

    - Abomination in the style of newer bulked up mates

  10. Notice Zach mentioned one of the villains has or will have an animated mate. He may have mentioned that to throw us off, but it's leading me to think Jackal or Madame Masque.
