  1. I am liking your reviews because you are not doing reviews on toys that everyone else is doing and it's refreshing! Keep it up!

    Cool. Thanks!

Today I am looking at Hasbro's answer to the world of urban vinyl toy collecting with the Marvel Mighty Muggs Wolverine figure. You can find the review here.

  2. Sorry for the delay in a new review. I got distracted with Emerald City ComiCon stuff. If you are ever in the Seattle area this time of the year, it is a worthwhile local comic show to go to. And now on to my latest review - a Diamond Select Toys Star Trek Original Series Communicator - here.

Oh great, I'm going to have to wait in Hasbro's line this year. I've never tried to get a Hasbro exclusive before, is the line as bad it looks?

Worse - and that's no joke.

One of the Joe exclusives has been announced.

First off thank you for helping make the SDCC Destro a success last year; what a way to kick off the 25th anniversary! The fans have really been behind us over the past year for the 25th and the team wanted to do something special for ComicCon again to reward the fans who have stuck with us and supported us over the year. If you thought 2007 was great with new figures, just wait until we start getting into vehicles in 2008!

Rather than just tell you (and the community) the 2008 SDCC Exclusive…we decided to have some fun and put together a short video announcing the item. We will go live at 3:30 this afternoon on GI Joe.com. Please spread the word and enjoy.

Thank you for your continual support, passion, and not breaking my ComicCon Exclusives until I was ready to show them J

To answer the most common questions; Yes we are making more than last year’s Destro, No I cannot tell you how many, Yes there is a variant, Yes there is an allotment to be sold on HTS.com for folks who cannot go to the con, Yes it comes in a protective case, Yes I have a second exclusive which we will be debuting with the club over the next week.

Last year GI Joe kicked off the 25th anniversary with a Destro exclusive that rocked San Diego ComicCon to its core. This year Cobra is sending Cobra Commander himself to meet the masses. Inspired by the comic, this exclusive Cobra Commander in suit and tie comes with a podium and microphone and is enclosed in a protective collector case.

Like Destro, this year's figure will also feature a second version of Cobra Commander in his Blue "Springfield Country Club" Blazer.

  4. I still had to scroll a lot for that one, and I have a fairly large resolution set.

Really? The revised one with the grey background?

I am at work now and this monitor is set at 1024 x 768 which is only one bump over 800x600 and I only need to scroll over about four letters on average for the lines of text.

I am confused if you have high resolution you would need to scroll a lot.

  5. Yeah, those Godzilla ones were way too big. I am trying to find the balance of size but still see what you are looking at.

Right now the pictures are all centered justified, maybe I should switch them back to left justified.

I also have a hard time remembering that I am on a widescreen monitor at home and not everyone else is.

  6. The Hummer and humans from the Hulk movie line are direct re-use of the GI Joe DTC line.

My memory is a bit foggy since Toy Fair but I think most of the figures are based off these Joes:

    http://www.yojoe.com/action/06/grandslam3.shtml

I might be wrong and won't know exactly what Joe bodies they used until I see some better pictures or have them in hand.

The Hummer is built off this one

The Hulk Legends line is not Joe based though and it is a true Legends scale line - just in case I confused anyone.
