There was a Target Exclusive Star War Black Series Shadow Squadron set that was clearanced down to like $15 because it wasn't selling and now you can't find one for any less than $100.

I bought that when it was new. I hesitated initially, but I'm so glad I went for it now.

  3. I always put a coffee mug full of water in the microwave for about 1 1/2-2 minutes, submerge the problematic piece in the heated water for around 30-60 seconds, then (carefully) remove it with pliers or other pinchy tool. that's typically enough time and heat to soften the plastics and/or loosen areas where paint may have been over applied, resulting in stuck parts or joints.

  4. If you want an X-Men book with a healthy dose of humor, I'd say go for it. It's great in my opinion,  because it brings the focus back on the X-Men as not just a super hero team, but as a school. I'm a big fan of Jason Aaron, and the majority of the artwork is done by Nick Bradshaw, who, in my opinion, is one of the best artists in mainstream comics today.

  5. Moon Knight is amazing. the best art teams imaginable, plus supe compelling storytelling that isn't bogged down by marvel's insipid events. Jeff Lemire is writing, and if you enjoyed his Animal Man, you'll love this.

The current Avengers book is really well done. classic feeling story, with the contemporary team. Mark waid is teally tapping into what makes the Avengers great, despite the fact that nearly the entire roster is legacy heroes. leagues ahead of his prior ANAD volume, which I wasn't feeling at all.

Black Widow. the best writer/artist synergy in the big two these days. Waid and Samnee were truly meant to work together, and they only continue bringing out the best of each other's respective strengths in storytelling. If you dug em on daredevil, this is a safe bet.

The Jason Aaron Thor books remain consistent, and have remained at the top of my read pile every month since 2012.

  6. Dark Reign wasn't so much an event as it was the status-quo of the time. the dark avengers books by bendis should all be easy enough to hunt down, and I also recommend looking for a trade paperback called "dark reign: the list", which collects a series of one shots that are mostly great. Otherwise,  punching in "marvel dark reign" at amazon.com should help you find other relevant titles that fell under the dark reign banner.
