  1. I have to admit, I was impress. Especially the tricks they did with the DOA girl's telpotation. Clever.
  2. Sorry Dan, I must've been a little vague there. I won't be online much until Sunday night since I'm working mornings (I have to get up @ 3am). My weekend starts on Monday, so I'll be able to play then.
  3. Good deal. I'll send you a freind request. I won't be on much for a couple days, that's why I was making sure. As for Blackout... I'm not sure. Don't get me wrong: I LOVE Lockout. I was just hoping they would change something about it. Instead it looks IDENTICAL, with the exception that it is better lit (which doesn't make sense on a map called Blackout). Finally, for thos following Nathaniel's story. WOW. Link: http://www.1up.com/do/newsStory?cId=3167089
  4. Thye legendary map pack will also include a remake of Lockout from H2. They will be out April 15th. I mioght take you up on that Dan. When are you on Easter break til?
  5. Really? How many level 9 bots can you "almost always win" against.
  6. Yeah, it's one of those things that shouldn't be a big deal, but annoyingly, it is. Around here everyone's got Wiis and the competitions pretty steep. Speaking of which, my brother is profitiant with almost every character. Even Olimar. We played a game yesterday that can only be described as priceless as he had piles of pikmin beating up all the other players at once. Frustratingly hilarious. Deadpool, I do have a friend code, but I'm not sure about going online... Without voice isn't it just like playing against bots? (Plus, I haven't even played Smash bros with my Wii yet )
  7. So, as it turns out I'm very disappointed with Smash Bros. No, it's not for the usual reasons people might get annoyed at like throws becoming worthless or Wolf being a third clone of Fox. Instead my complaint is something so of you might never have known: You cannot copy Smash Bros data. This sounds dumb, but actually is a pretty big deal to me right now. See, my brother and I are both completests. We need to have EVERYTHING unlocked in multiplayer games. Naturally we've been playing SBB together and having lots of fun... On his Wii. Just like Melee our plan was to keep a save file bouncing back and forth between systems, allowing us to keep lots of stats from lots of games. Not gonna happen apparently as now I have to start from scratch. I haven't even opened my copy of the game yet. It makes returning it... Appealing.
  8. One of the reasons Halo has beden such a huge hit is because the ompany who made it (Bungie) ALWAYS puts their fans first. Definetly one of the coolest companies out there. The sadly humerous part about the story is that a tech guy actually scrubbed the xbox clean. There are 2 small sharpie smudges left to prove it. We're talking A LOT of work. This is going to sound bad, but favorite thing about Smash Bros so far is making fun of it. My brother and I are playing through SSE together and the story is so convoluted and twisted that it's hilariously bizarre. Especially since none of the characters talk and you can make your own voice overs.
  9. Hmmm... Not what I expected. Actually, I had been following this story. I had only heard up until Bungie stepped in though, not what they had done. Honestly I had expected them to do a new custom XBox for him. The helmet is sweet and all... I guess I've just gotten USED to Bungie going above and beyond for their fans.
  10. I've gotta disagree Deadpool. While there are no definet greatest brawlers there are proven garbage ones: Yes, I'm referring to Yoshi. Yoshi is the handicapped Smash Bros. I'm also not hugely fond of Snake or Olimar though. Olimar might be the new Ness (practice=God powers), but Snake's abilities just seem weak. Oh, and around here Donkey Kong is DEFINETLY not on the winner's list. Though Mewtwo (Lucario) and Link are good, we see the most wins with: Shiek, Ness & Roy (Ike).
  11. So, I'm here, as usual, to stir the pot. I love Smash Bros as much as the next guy... But up until I got it my Wii was unplugged. BAM! Was that in your face or what? I also loved Zelda. ... A year ago. BAM! Since then I've been playing 5 games on a rotating basis: Mass Effect Halo 3 Viva Pinata (don't diss it til you try it) Orage Box Rock Band I have to say that while Nintendo DOES make phenomenal games, they're too far between. I'm not sure who to side with in this cause you guys are all fanboys in my opinion. But, I think I've gotta go TBT.
  12. So I'm still at work for another 3 hours. Smash Bros is waiting at home for me to try.
  13. Well we broke down and bought Rock Band yesterday. 'Nuff said.
  14. Venom, Can I toss out a different idea? Not buying anything. Paintball used to be my game of choice. One of my close friends was even on the National's team. That being said, the sport is an investment... And since you've never played before you might be more interested in renting. Every field I've ever been to offers -Marker -500 Balls -Field Pass -Mask For $40. All things considered it's not a bad deal since you need to buy their balls and field pass anyways. Obviously the markers you rent aren't the best, but you don't need to worry about CO2 or O-Rings and stuff. Personally I didn't start buying all my equipment until I was sure I would use it enough. Just something to think about.
  15. It's true, most multiplayer armours can't be unlocked offline. This one, however can be unlocked in campaign, along with others like: Too close to the sun, pink death, headshot honcho, ect. Just read the achievement descriptions. (Headshot Honcho must be done with a sniper rifle)
  16. Actually, you got the Scout helmet for unlocking the "Used Car Salesman" achievement. (Destroying a vehicle with at least 3 people inside). Like I said before, most of the armor pieces are the achievements.
  17. Picking up a skull will unlocking it for everyone in the party. You can drop it... Or hold onto it as long as you'd like. Hyabusa, like most armours is unlocked in pieces. I'm not positive, but I believe it's: 6 Skulls for shoulder pieces 9 Skulls for Chest piece 13 Skulls for Helmet. There are 2 skulls on 4 levels: Sierra 117 Crow's Nest The Ark Covenant
  18. Move up that schedule, Don. I can't think of ANY game you need to beat in Single Player to play Multi.
  19. Some of the memory is "reserved" for updates and changes to the way the 360 runs. So, a 20G ends up being like 13 or 14. It's kind of sad but it is in you interest.
  20. Neo, I've heard of that problem several times actually, locally here. However, unplugging it and letting it be for awhile seems to work well. Don, I know exactly what you mean. Costoc' return policy rocks! The only reason why I probably wouldn't do that is just because I would lose all my save files, ect. But sounds awesome!
  21. Handsome devil, what you heard is true: there is a 16% failure rate. It should however be noted that most of those were wave 1 machines and that 60% were RRoD. The other 40% were disc tray mishaps and so on.
  22. Yeah, thanks Wii. I realized afterwards the reason why I couldn't think of the name was I had accidentally posted it in the line above. You get the EVA for campaign. Sorry.
  23. The maps WILL be free. UNlike the other games on 360 Bungie makes it a rule to drop their price... Eventually. I think Iheard the maps'll be free in June, but who knows? It might be sooner than that. I actually think the 3 maps that have been released are among the best in H3. Standoff & Rats nest because of how aweseom they are and Foundry for Forging. (It's a big empty room specifically for Forging). As for Halo Wars I believe it's Q4. Which armor would you like? I have them all. YOu start with CQB & Mark 6. EOD is unlocked through Campaign. Gas mask one (can't think of name) is from Legendary. Hyabusa is from Skull collecting. ODST is recieved upon being a recruit on XBL. Mark 4 from being a Spartan on XBL Rogue from being a officer on XBL. Security is unlocked from Achievment points and the rest are individual achievements.
  24. For all of the 2 other people still playing Halo 3, I thought I'd let you know the auto-update went live 2 days ago. What is it? Just like in Halo 2 a few months after the game shipped Bungie went back and "fixed" some of the gameplay mechanics that were a little troublesome (like melee). Having played some since it went up I haven't noticed as big a difference as I did with H2, but the gameplay seems "cleaner." Also, they announced the 4th map being released. And's it's gorgeous. http://www.bungie.net/News/content.aspx?ty...s&cid=13287
  25. All 3 are great games Neo. Oblivion has next the limitless possibilites, Crackdown is pure beat 'em up fun and Mass Effect is... Phenomenal. You can probably find oblivion & crackdown in the bargain bin, so that's points to them. If money isn't a concern though, I would say Mass Effect. I absolutely loved it. My only complaint is the item storage and equipment system. It's annoying having to deal with eveyone's equipment, and sadly you can only hold 150 items so you need to do it fairly regularly. Apart from that, awesome. Not to mention: It'll have downloadable content (new planets) on March 10th.
