  1. It depends on how long you've been collecting. If you've been collecting for ages, then that's a bit pathetic, but I know you're new. The Ben Reilly Spider-man & Black Cat is quite hard to find now, so kudos to you for having it. I only managed to find it recently. If you want to see a full collection of Marvel Minimates (to an extent, it has up to series 18 and there are 22 series), go on www.minimatescentral.com to see reviews of them.

    Good to see another collector!

  2. I'm defintely not gonna buy Wii Music. I might if it was a proper music game with PROPER controls, instead of "wave it around and press random buttons in time to the music".

I was rather dissapointed that that was all we got from E3 this year, with Animal Crossing being the only not-only-for-casual-gamers game.

There are just too many bad games on the Wii - Ace of Clubs, Carnival Gmaes, Sports Party, Game Party, etc. - The list goes on!

And while games like that are selling by the bucketload, great games like Zack and Wiki and Okami (definately one of the best games on the wii) are going unnoticed.

I'm fine with Nintendo's new direction- it's getting them lots of sales- but what annoys me is that they seem to have forgotten the gamers, who have been there since day 1. I know Mario, Zelda, and Pikmin are in dvelopment, but why not announce it at E3? Did they really think casuals are going to watch E3? They may as well make a new convention - The casual game's convention.

    My long rant.

  3. Argh. I just moved house and so had to plug my Wii in again, but it seems since the previous owners had cable tv, the channel that my Wii plays on is also one of the tv channels. We managed to sort it out- to an extent. It stilll goes static-y and the screen goes of for a second quite often. It's not that bad on the slower games, but on Brawl, one second I'm Captain falcon falcon punching olimar, next thing fox is in a big tank and I'm being blasted off the stage...

I was going to get Star Wars on wii, but I read a review and found out it was extremely short, at about 6 hours. I don't now if this is the usual developers screwing over the wii, or if it's for all the platforms, but I do know that I am absolutely not paying £40 for six hours of gameplay.

I'm quite excited about Warioland: The Shake Dimension, It looks fun. And also de Blob, which looks great but I'm not sure if it warrants a full price tag.

  4. andymini30, may I recommend Limited Edition. It is a comic store in Plymouth, and I stand by my claim that it is the best in the country. They get lots of items in, normally a few weeks to a month after America. They have good prices, and have all the exclusive sets. They are also very nice, having dealt with them a couple of times. They also offer free shipping for MMV members.

Send them an email at ltded@blueyonder.co.uk

Hopefully this will make things easier for you, it certainly did for me! :)

  5. Hi greg,

I had some similar troube with the civil war set, and managed to get the masks off by using karamazov80's approach of using the fingernail to get it out. I had no trouble with the masks the next time. Another method that people have brought up in other threads is to put the head on the shoulder joint of a 2.5" mate and it will usually be tight enough to just tug it off.

If this works and you get it off, but you get the same problem later, after getting if off try putting all the extra masks on unwanted minimate heads, so that you don't need to worry about it getting stuck, and you only need to switch the heads. Somebody said this in another topic.

    Hope this is of service,

    Vig

  6. Thhis all seems well and good, but what do these people have to do with Secret Invasion. These aren't the key players in this. I will still probably be buying this, but it doesn't seem very SI themed. I would rather have a set with people like Yellow Jacket, and some Skrulls, etc

  7. Cool, these look pretty good! The spidey looks pretty definitive for me. The McFarlane one had too big eyes, and the Amazing Fantasy one had too narrow eyes, so this is in-between. The "Back in Black" spidey looks good, maybe better than the original due to the removable mask, and will give people a chance to get their hands on a popular costume variant. Tarantula looks okay, but I don't like the smile. Kraven looks awesome, perfect for the character. I love the rifle. Is it new? Shocker and Cap. Universe look okay, but I think there's something a little off about Shocker. Venom is last, and sadly least, IMO. Though this will probably be the definitive Venom due to the fact that this is his most comic-accurate look so far, the face looks HORRIBLE. If they change this, it will be a good addition to the surprisingly large amount of Venom's.

    My thoughts,

  8. Yeah, recently I've been playing Super Smash Bros Brawl, Okami, and The Legend Of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass. They're all great, but TLOZ:PH is a little on the short and easy side. That said, I keep putting off the final boss because I hate the phantom dungeon.

  9. I'm still contemplating whether or not to see this, I'd like to but I'm not sure wheter I'll get the chance. And while we're on the subject of the Avegers, the team I'd like to see would be:

    Captain America

    Iron Man

Thor (given a bit of an Ultimates edge - I'm not really a big fan of the mainstream hat-wearing, Shakesperian-speaking, etc. kind of guy)

    Hawkeye

    Wasp

    Giant Man

    Ms. Marvel

And maybe the Hulk giving them a hand. I also had the idea of at the end Tony coming up with an idea for the Vision.

    Necro!

Well, I was thinking of starting a thread like this and (unlike many new members here) I used he search function and found this!

NintendoWii, you have very similar taste to me. I am not as big a fan of GD anymore, but I really like Blink-182, AVA, The Ramones, and +44. I also like The Clash, The Cure, The Killlers, The Fray (my god so may bands beginning with 'the' lol) Fall Out Boy, Panic at the Disco, and Death Cab for Cutie :teehee:

  12. Okay, these look fantastic but I have a few complaints. First of all, Huk is GREY. WTF? Second, what in the name of all that is good and holy has happened to pointy-headed Iron Man's face? And lastly, on Modular IM, the gold on his arms different to the one on his belly. Though the gold is nice, I thing they should be the non-shiny one. Now for the questions:

    1) What are the pairings for the Hulk wave?

    2) What are the pairings for the Iron Man wave?

Other than these complaints, I love these sets and will definately be buying a lot of these!
