  1. I think that's the problem I have with the availability these, they all look too good to be this limited. sad.png

Exactly. Everyone is both a potential army builder and custom fodder. Their site has the 2-packs marked as "Back-Order". Maybe they'll put the remaining ones up after the show?

Can you post a link to where they were found on the site? I had trouble navigating the store.

  2. Like Rogue with parts for Brotherhood of Mutants version and Uncanny Avengers version or like the Black Panther having parts for the Shroud?

Either way I like it and think it could help market the fun interchangeability of minimates.

  3. Cloak needs to be more cloaklike. I would suggest a modified flight stand type thing where you could have his floating head and the cloak but no body. Ideally, it would allow you to position Dagger as if she were jumping out from under the cloak somehow.

Also Dagger should have, you know, daggers. I would suggest modified versions of Longshot's throwing knives.

  4. So, the villains have been guessed, and yet the heroes they're paired with are nearly unguessable?

The new thing, I believe, is multiple figures per body. We were talking about doing it with the Jim Lee X-Men. I think it's going to be 90s X-Factor, though. It's how you get a complete team with only 4 figures:

Havok (with parts for Multiple Man)/Toad

    Polaris (with parts for Wolfsbane)/Pyro

Strong Guy (with parts for Multiple Man)/Blob

    Random/Quicksilver (with parts for Avalanche)

Look at Multiple Man's costume. Add a bulked chest piece and arms and a new head, voila! Strong Guy! Same if you swap Havok's head and leather jacket for Jamie's brown duster. Change out Polaris's head, arms, and legs and clip on a tail... Ta-DA! Wolfsbane! And then all you need to do to Quicksilver is add chest armor, a new head, and new gloves and boots to make to make Avalanche!

It may be a pipe dream, but it's really no more parts than DST packs in for certain alternate looks. This would be a really clever way to get a whole team knocked out in one fell swoop, and it would certainly make things seem "unguessable" at face value

If I'm right, it's not something DST could pull off with every wave, but we could see it used in the future for other uniformed teams:

    Jim Lee X-Men

    Guardians of the Galaxy

Fantastic Four (getting us Bagman/She Hulk/etc)

    Pollina X-Force

    Acolytes

I like the idea but is that a new thing? Didnt we get something similar with Nick Fury Jr. and transforming Thing/transforming Hulk?

  5. Eight different figures. Not themed, a pretty diverse group. Avengers, X-Men, GOTG and Spider-Man. No overlap with 60. BUT one overlap with 59.

    1. Iron Man/Ronan. No other GOTG-related characters.

    2. New costume/re-do. Ties in to another box set.

    3. New costume/army builder.

    4. Re-do/Re-do.

    >Everyone else in 19 we've gotten comic Mates of before, but three not for a long time, and I believe all three have been asked for. Two are new (or recent) costumes for Marvel mainstays. One is a returning army-builder.

You're taking that to mean the army builder hadn't been made for a long time, but that phrasing is ambiguous. Three of the remaining six figures haven't been made for a long time. Then Zach says two are recent costumes and one is a returning army builder. Tough to say if that's a break down of the three that haven't been made for a long time or if that's describing the other three figures in the wave. Because beyond the Sentinel, what figure from 59 would make any kind of sense?

Shouldn't this be in the other thread?

  6. TRU 15 included Kuurth/Nul that complimented the Mighty/Worthy boxsets and the Firelord/Air Walker set that complimented the Heralds boxset (plus the Silver Surfer/Thing set).

So maybe TRU 19 includes a two pack that compliments the Infinity boxset and another two pack that compliments another box set.

A set with another Sentinel (army builder) that compliments the DoFP boxset? Foes of Spiderman? Age of Ultron?

  7. AIM for the army builder is an obvious guess, but what other ones are out there? I suppose a sentinel would pair well with cyclops and magneto but is that too soon after DoFP? The Hand? That may make sense if there is a connection to the forthcoming tv shows?

Is there a themed connection between 60 and TRU 19?

  8. Using this list (because I'm lazy). http://www.comicvine.com/profile/stayclassymarvel/lists/a-b-and-c-list-superheroes-marvel/45202/

Possible B-Listers that may be entering A-list (depending on future movies/tv shows/comics):

    Spider-Woman

    Spider Man 2099

    Captain Marvel

    The Wasp

    Magik

    Abomination

    Moon Knight

    Storm

    Wonderman
